HP Recovery - EMERGENCY!

I have a laptop HP G60 that has a recovery partition and I have 2 recovery disc for it - it is a Vista operating system.

Recently I've been using Windows 7 on it, and I wanted to go back to Vista using the recovery option.

However, using the partition, I get ERROR 1003

So I tried the discs, but after 20 minutes of disk 1, I get ERROR 1005

Now my laptop has no operating system and I can't get my phone to factory settings at all.

Now, my first thought is that the recovery partition is corrupted, whereby the cd access when recover (?), so I wonder now whether to delete the recovery partition (how without operating system), then try again the discs?

Help, please! Thank you.

Try to start with a utility cd to remove the partition / format hard drive. I read good reviews for Partition Wizard. Download the iso CD bootable here . Download ImgBurn here to burn the image to a cd.

I have a HP Pavilion dv7 notebook PC running Windows 7.

I just installed a replacement hard drive that HP sent me, and they also sent me system recovery discs as the operating system was not preinstalled on the hard drive. Recovery disc instructions say that the recovery only works when the computer starts with the first recovery disc into the optical drive. Also the computer should start with the first recovery disk.

Obviously, my computer is turned off, because I just replaced the hard drive. I can not insert the disc in the player without the computer is on... but the instructions indicate that the disc must be there before I turn it on.

It will cause a problem with my computer if I turn on the computer to insert the disc and then restart it to begin the recovery process?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

It will not cause any problems if you start the machine, insert the recovery disk 1, and then restart - you can also use the following method.

Tap away at the esc you key start Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Insert the first disc of recovery.  Select the Boot Options menu (usually f9 ).  Use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER - if you see a to' quick Press of any key to continue... ", do.

  • Qosmio F50 - the hard drive recovery?

    Hello

I had a very big problem.
I've made a few changes with my Vista regs and then I was unable to start again.
So, I started the recovery program (second HARD drive), backed up my files and selected whole HARD drive recovery.

Well, now problem - everything was going well, but when I walked into the Vista installation I had to shut down the computer.
Now, when I start up the pc and load Vista I message I need to reinstall my computer again.

Well, they say nothing about how load the recovery file but I have no option for this - only emergency mode, with the support of network, etc., but without recovery emergency. Moreover, when I select emergency mode, I can't load Vista-it says I need to run the Setup in normal mode, which told to re - install. Yep, circle-_-.

    Model: Qosmio F50

Do you think that when I erase all the Vista disc manually - for example with linux, and then start the computer, I get a possibility to load the second part of the drive to start the installation?

Thanks in advance because I'm really despair

    Hello

    I'm a bit confused of m.
How do recover you the laptop?
Have you used the Toshiba HDD recovery option which could be launched by pressing F8, select fix my computer-> Toshiba Recovery?

Usually, it is a procedure how to start the Toshiba HDD recovery.

I guess you didn't create a recovery Toshiba drive in the past is good?
It was a big mistake buddy because the recovery disk would help you in difficult situations

Well, as I said above; You can try to start the HARD drive recovery. If this will not help you I think that you would need a Toshiba Recovery disk.
    You can order it here:

    Hi globetrotterdk,

Yes, the creation of the image in the Chrome operating system or by using the recovery utility of Chrome on a PC base with a Chrome browser will allow you to create a backup of Windows. The version of Chrome OS will be determined by what you and your material, so no reason to choose anything and for recovery of Chrome utility, they are trying to simplify this away so many different types of chromebooks, use the generic C720 will work for you.

  • Feature request for Compellent Enterprise Manager

Not sure that this will be seen by the PTB that this could bring a possibility, but that's. My feature request is around replication, restore points and recovery emergency activation test or real. I would like to have the ability to create groups (maybe even of the subgroups) in this area and assign volumes. When you enter the recovery area disaster activate you can select then a group (or groups) to activate. You could add this to the screen and thus leaves open the possibility of manual selection. Select a group, this would alleviate the need to browse all your volumes to find and select the few you must activate. You would then proceed and EM would activate the volume in this group as usual. Subgroups can be added so that only the volumes in this subgroup would have chosen to activate. Senior level groups would activate all volumes in each groups void assigned to the high-level group. I'd be happy with level groups just top. But I could make a case for the subgroups of level. Thank you!

If you insert the first disc in your DVD-rom and you start your computer, the screen HP press ESC until you get a menu. Select the start menu and select CD/DVD-ROM, then enter. When it tells you to press a key to boot from the CD, press a key any. This will load the recovery software. Select immediate assistance and a recovery of the system. This will install your computer as the day where you bought everything first.

Have you created your personal set of HP recovery disks when you first set up your computer? If this isn't the case, you will need to contact HP in your region or country via the Portal Support HP's worldwide, to order / buy recovery discs.

  • What is the cable of data recovery?

With my flame came a wire called 'data '. What is the difference with a normal Micro USB cable? Is it connected differently?

I noticed that when I connect to my flame using a standard Micro USB cable, then it behaves funny. I saw him restart spontaneously, and also saw him plug and unplug several times. With the cable of data recovery, connections appear to be stable, but I wonder why. The Keon has worked well with a standard Micro USB cable.

    Hi Fekle,

I'm not sure what the difference is in the cable of data recovery. For me, when I use this cable to recharge, my camera flame has strangely, sometimes requires me to remove the battery before restarting the unit.

I had written to T2M asking how to use the wire and this was their response:

Please follow the instruction below to rescue the phone.

Firstly, we send a Recovery Cable with RED label with Flame phone, which is placed outside of Flame package. Please make sure that you have it.

Secondly, please download Emergency rescue tool from http://cds.w5v8t3u9.hwcdn.net/Flame%20Rescue%20Tool.zip, unzip it, run Flame.exe and follow the attached PPT instruction to start the rescue.

PS: I made the changes in the Bios to boot from the cd drive

    Hi nichollsr,

in our society, we have 2 Satellite 1110-Z15, and there is a delicate hint for recovery.

Toshiba has made a small mistake and printed the wrong order on the CD. You only need to change the order of the Recovery CD. No.. 1 is no. 2 and vice versa.

Insert the diskette n ° 2, hold down the 'C' key and the recovery is expected to begin. If your laptop does not identify external drive-Freecom CD try to hold the 'U' key to boot from USB.

  • Meet recovery disk

    Hello

I recently bought Dv6 model Hp laptop with Windows 7 home premium.

I got to know once obtain registration of laptop Hp, its good to create the disc of recovery (DVD copy) of windows 7 (Recovery Manager) who need help in an emergency to break BONES.

Fact this recovery disc creation can be done only once (1 copy per laptop)?

It is an exact copy of windows 7 should I use for resettlement?

    Thank you

Usually just 2 DVD to burn your game. Don't forget to use a good quality DVD and try not to use rewritable. Rewritable media that can be erased and used more than once are not compatible with the Recovery Manager.

BTW, once your set is done, any software CD/DVD that has Betacam copy writing can be used to make another series by copying that you do using Recovery Manager.
