• Its out of sync on Android app popularity - HP Slate 7-2801

  Hello from a new Member of the site.

  I have problems when viewing the live stream on the app popularity (and other similar products) with the sound is not not in harmony with the images.

  I was able to use m.tvcatchup.com and plays files perfectly.

  I also use the popularity app on different devices android without problem. So I think I can exclude from my WIFI connection.

  I tried to reinstall both the Tablet and using System Restore, but the problem persists.

  I see no mention of a new version (Version 1.05.14), but it is not available OTA for me.

  I also looked for previous versions, see if that solves the problem, but I can't find them.

  So in summary is someone else to get her number? If so have you been able to solve?

  The update to the version.14 may have been temporarily pulled due to some reports of devices users have wiped by the installation.

  I got it without any problem, but there are other users on the Forum who reported the issue.

  With enforcement unit open photo, to the right of the zoom bar is a small icon of a camera with an arrow circling around it.  Tap the camera icon to switch between front and rear cameras.

  No it will not damage anything else as long as you do not let moisture touch the screen or damage it more.

  Do a search on Google or Bing for touch digitizer of replacement for HP Slate 7 2801 to find an online provider of a touch digitizer replacement.  Otherwise, you can contact HP to arrange to have done, at a cost, because it was customer induced (inadvertently or otherwise) of damage. You can find screens for about $ $50,00 if you're looking for with sufficient diligence.  You will need a tool thin spudger to replace the touch digitizer and adhesive strips to hold it in place. There are tutorials on the web that show how this is done, but you will have to search for them.

  I just tested Skype on my Slate7 and it worked fine.

  Make sure that you have activated the video call in Skype.  Tap on the 'Options' icon in the upper right (it looks like 3 blocks stacked vertically) then settings.  Press on "voice calls and video" in the left column, then check the box 'Enable video calling.

  To make a video call, press an active contact and tap the camera icon in the upper right.

• Problem copy PC files (jpg) to 7 2801 slate

  I'm trying to copy pictures from my pc on the slate by using the USB cable supplied with the unit.  It seems to connect OK, I can charge the device and I can see it in Explorer on my PC, well that Explorer does not have any content.

  I can't work out how copy and paste or drag and drop files on the slate (Error Message: the device has stopped responding or is not disconnected).

  I would be able to move external files / jpg on the slate?

  And if so, how do I do it?

  I just connected my my laptop Vista64 Slate7, and the two "internal storage" and "SD card" this, together with the contents of the folder.

  I copied also some .jpg in the internal storage DCIM folder.  No problemo!  (I used copy/paste).

  Check something on your Slate7 - go to the app/storage of settings/USB computer

  (3 blocks stacked, top right) connection and see if 'PSG' is checked.  If this is not the case, check it.  Connect it to your computer, preferably not through a hub.

  Also, the SD card - do you have "mounted" card?  Go to settings/storage, then scroll down to "Mount SD card".

  If you don't always win access to the memory (s), try toggling the PSG to 'camera (PTP)' then back again.

• 7 2801 slate cannot access hotmail account, stop jumping and not to say any message

  I am not able to read my emails on hotmail, it seems that I have 2 accounts with same name and emails keep jumping from one to another and also flashing¬ no messages¬, if I touch an email he rises for a few seconds and then turns off.   I have a new 7 2801 slate. When I connect it to my notbook with the USB cable I tries to install disks without success. Looking at the harwaremanager it shows other hardware not installed "HP" readers. Updating the drivers is alos does not. Can Haw I fix this?

  Hello MaKru, welcome to the HP support community!

  I found activating / disabling the "USB computer connection" 'device MTP (Media)' to 'camera (PTP)' often makes the device are not displayed correctly.

  This setting can be found here: settings/Storage/Option icon in the upper right (it looks like 3 blocks stacked vertically) / USB connection to the computer.

  Be sure to connect the Slate7 to a USB port on the computer itself, not a hub.

  When I plugged mine, nothing happened. I disconnected, changed the setting to the camera (PTP) and reconnected. He has appeared as a camera, with the DCIM folders available. I unplugged, changed back to the MTP (Media) device, reconnect the computer and Voila! The two sections appeared.

• HP Slate 7 2800 - DON'T be CHARGING not

  For the last few days my HP Slate 2800 7 has not charged.

  A week ago, I noticed that the connection between the Tablet and the cable was loose and detach easily. But even if it is loose, it would charge.

  Now, it does not load at all. I tried several different micro usb cables connected to the wall adapter or a computer or laptop without success. I checked the micro usb for lint or dust port, but it is perfectly clean. I tried several micro usb cables, and none has made a difference. I've never dropped my tablet, nor is he come in contact with water or liquid. I used to charge my tablet on a daily basis and took good care of her.

  I would like to know if HP can fix it or if I can do it myself. My tablet is only two months old.

  A new tablet should arrive tomorrow.

• My Hp Slate Tablet Wont turn on HELP!

  I recently bought a hp slate 7tablet 2 days ago and its doesn't turn is not on. As I put it to load, but it won't turn. I tried to load it into a different power outlet, but nothing happens.   Try to keep the power, volume up and volume DOWN all pressed at the same time for about 20 seconds (or until you see a menu appear).

  If you get the menu, navigate using the volume switch then select "Reboot".  See if the Tablet starts normally.

  In addition, if you have another convenient micro-USB cable, try using it with the charger supplied with the Slate7.  It is possible that the original cable have been damaged.  Do not use a cell phone charger because they are not able to provide enough "juice" for the Slate7.

• Slate 7 compatible andoid app

  I write an android app specifically for use with the HP Slate 7 and when I import the apk on Google game it indicates that it is not compatible with the HP Slate 7 even if I fully tested it on the device itself.  I've included the parts of my file AndroidManifest.xml below showing what Android they filter through and you can see that I tried explicitly to NOT require certain characteristics so that it can work.  Any ideas why my application is illustrated as not compatible?

  Thanks for the reply.  I finally understand for a reason any game Google don't think that 7 Slate has a compatible camera and uses-feature entries I had in my AndroidManifest.xml where uppercase and should be lowercase.  After the change to lowercase and saying Google play that the camera was not necessary, it worked.

  Can I put a Slate of Android 4.1 to 4.2 7?

  I don't think at the moment that a version 4.2 android is available for 7 slate as it has just launched with 4.1, although it is possible that one may be available in the future.

• Slate 7 impossible to insert the sandisk ultra 32 GB micro sd class10

  I bought a sandisk ultra 32 GB micro SD class 10 SKU SDSDQU - 032 G-CFAP-out of amazon. When I insert in my 7 slate and push on to try to get to the spring to engage and the drive to go it is not. I can't get the SD card to stay in and I feel a spring, but it won't click to take the SD
  Is this a compatibility problem because I bought the bad micro SD for the 7 slate or I do something wrong to load? Or my new slate had a defect?

  Make sure that you are pressing far enough. It will not be flush with the edge of the device; It is accidental ejection/loss of the microSD card. You may need to use your nail, on a credit card, or small flat-head screwdriver. (I can do that easily with a fingernail and mine are short, but others have reported that it is a little challenging).
