  I would use my slate 7 more in developer Debug Mode. I did the secret tap the Build number on the screen on the Tablet 5 times to enable developer mode and check the box for USB debugging, but the required driver is not properly installed on the device to connect to my Windows 7 PC.

  You kindly provide me with the necessary driver as well as instructions for manual installation. I tried all the solutions on this forum, but nothing works.

  I'm new in the world of the Tablet, I'm good with computers. For the life of me I can't get my HP SLATE 7 MORE use the mini 32 GB SDHC card, I inserted. I want to store my apps, movies and others on the SD card. So far I found no option to transfer the data, I have no option to store applications initially. If someone could help me that would be great.

  Don't know if this helps, but in the other forum posts no matter what state of HP (android) will only use SD card for data (documents, photos, misic, etc.). You cannot use it to store Apps.

• Question about HP Slate 7 more 1301 (internal memory and USB)

  Hi all.

  I plan to buy a HP Slate 7 more 1301 soon, however one thing confuses me.

  On one of the user guides I've read online, for this, he says:

  "A micro SD card must be installed before you can transfer files between your Tablet and the computer."

  Now, I've read that for many tablets, 'internal memory' can be used only for applications and others, but not for data.

  So, how does this Tablet? Would I be able to access the internal memory it comes with (the 8GB Nand flash player) and transfer files to it? Or do I have to get a microSD card to add data storage capabilities to the Tablet?

  In the case, I can't use the internal memory to store data via the USB connection, I can at least transfer data to it with another method? As methods based on a cloud, or WiFi apps?

  In my view, that it runs Android 4.2.

  This user's guide have you seen that in, could you put a link? On tablets (especially those without a Manager installed files, or 4.4/KitKat tablets) you would need a computer in order to transfer files between the Tablet internal storage and microSD card, but I have not heard any model for Tablet from HP that require a microSD card to transfer files between a computer and the tablet. All of HP's tablets have a standard micro-USB port with a USB data cable you can connect your computer and access the files stored on your tablet (regardless of the fact that it is equipped with a memory card).

  You can certainly use the Tablet for data memory. Expandable storage (microSD card) is completely optional.

• HP Slate 7 more does not connect to iPhone personal hotspot

  My new tablet, slate 7 more, c. 4.2.2 kernel v. 3.1.10 - g2630132 does not connect to my iPhone 4, ios 7.0.6.

  The Tablet works fine on wifi router database connections.

  The Tablet sees different iPhones when the personal hotspots are active on these phones and I can enter the security keys.  The Tablet shows "signal strength Excellent and"WPA2 PSK security."  However when I press "Connect" the Tablet shows the hotspot iPhone simply as 'Saved, secure with WPA2.'  The Tablet does not actually connect.

  My goal by purchasing this tablet had a portable device that I could work out my phone personal hotspot.

  Suggestions, or can someone point me to a FAQ tip or tech that I might have missed?

  I was able to connect to Iphone 4S my son without problem.

  I had to make sure I typed the passkey precisely, and by clicking on the check box "Show characters" did help.

  I've seen some messages on the internet where there is Android devices connection problems if the phone name had special characters in it, but we still managed using a name such as "batman Iphone 4»

  You can also make sure there is no special characters in the name just to be safe.

  Got the HP Slate 7 more today. And of course I am. "Authentication problem.

  All other devices works fine connected to home WiFi. I'll box this right of return and send back unless someone has a solution.

  Wait. I found the solution. (1) the box it came in.  (2) put in a box.  (3) Ribbon box upward.  (4) affix the label back.  (5) return.

  Problem solved.

  The idea of a Tablet is connectivity.  If this can not happen transparently, it is worthless.

  I have a HP slate 7 more I bought a USB female and used as a connector between the Tablet and a Seagate 500 GB external hard drive, I. Hard disk light does not illuminate and the Tablet is not picking it up. I saw all the videos of YouTube on android tablets works with external hard drives. Why it does not work on mine?

  I have already answered in one of your other posts duplicated on the connection to your computer.

  To prevent display of the tablet to sleep longer, go to the settings app, then 'Sleep' on the right column.  Change to all you want but be advised - it displays when using the battery, the faster the battery can discharge.

  I got a HP Slate 7 Plus about 5 weeks. This morning, I recognized that there is a crack on the right corner of the screen, about 2 or 3 inches under the lens of the camera. The Tablet still works without problem outside the crack. The Tablet never fell or hit and I pushed ever the screen hard or something like that. How can I get the screen replaced? I live in the Kansas City area, Missouri.

  I got the slate for more than 6 months, and every once in a while it crashes and the screen is all pixely.

  I have not seen anyone another post about this, so I wonder if it's just my tablet.  He also loses the Wi - Fi every time within a certain time and the only way to get it back must stop it and restart the tablet.

  Online, I already have a Goog/Gmail account so tried to use this log-in/pwd.  Not good. Tried several times in many ways.  Still not good.  "Connection temporarily unavailable '.

  So I decided to create a NEW account to access Playstore/Android.  I have create a name of user and password.  This name is taken. Try another name.  THIS name is not available.  TRY again, THIS name is taken.  Whenever Android "suggests" usernames for me, all suck.

  Why can't I log - in my account of regular Goog?

  BTW, I was connected, I was able to get on the internet through "Chrome" (but not by the browser).

  Would be grateful someone help me, because I'm on my way to Starbucks to use their free WiFi.  All I want to do is transfer a short film slate, so I can play for friends.

  Solution: Called HP Support (finally found the right #!) and I was told that I could have indeed a separate Goog account than I already have.

  Take a read of this document from HP. I have recommended to perform a factory reset.

  If the factory reset does not help, then it is definitely time to Contact HP or the dealer where you bought your 7 Slate.
