With Adobe Reader open, press on the top left corner of the screen, with three horizontal lines and the Adobe logo.  Then click on Documents.  In word Documents is a drop that on mine at least, lets me select the display of the folders where you can navigate to different folder locations (your SD card will appear as "external_sd".  Or if you select all of the PDF files, it should allow you to choose from all of the PDF files on the device, including your SD card.

I hope this helps.

  • Difficulty for the SD 7 Slate 28xx/46xx after OTA card number.

NOTE: HP has published a new OTA - version user_1.05.18.  Best way to solve the problem is to go to settings / connection/tablet system begins to day/check now button.  If this does not resolve the problem, then continue to the old instructions below.

HP has downloaded a file recovery update (update.zip) to their support for the slate site 7 28xx/46xx which solves the problem of SD card caused by a recent OTA.   It can be recharged in ROME via the method of recovery. Use the new file listed.

    The page is here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-slate-7-tablet/5373939/model/5373942

If you do not see the restore Jelly Bean image, then be sure that you have chosen as your operating system Google Android.  (Sometimes he default Windows if you use a PC to retrieve the file).  Click "Microsoft Windows" to change the operating system, and then click the link 'Version' change for Google Jellybean.  Click on the blue button "Update". Now click on the Plus sign (+) next to Software - Solutions to list the file and the download button.

Choose the most recent restore image Jelly Bean.

This fix requires the tablet to read an external micro SD card! The question that we try to resolve is the inability of the tablet to read the card after the recent update! I downloaded the zip file but don't know where to go from here, because I do not see how the tablet will be able to run the recovery process, if it cannot read the SD card. Advice please.

I have provided a link to the installation instructions in the first post of this thread.  I advise you to try.

The recovery process knows how to find the card...

    Hi John,.

As long as your credit card number is correct for your Acrobat CD subscription, so that you don't encounter any problems, there is no need of this ExportPDF subscription. Whatever he does, you can do with Acrobat.

  • Slate 21 & sd card

I just bought a 64 GB SDXC card to use with my 21 slate. When I insert card it does not show in the HP file manager. I looking in the wrong place? where to show and what directory?

    Thank you

    Tony

    Hi Tony,.

My assumption would be that your new SD card is formatted using exFAT file system.  21 Slate has not currently support exFAT, NTFS and FAT.  So you will need to insert your SD card into a PC and format it in NTFS until you'll be able to use it on Slate 21.

    I hope this helps.

Wireless cards supported with HP part numbers are in Chapter 3 begins on page 18.

You can buy only one card in the manual and it must have the part number HP on it or it won't work.

These cards are country specific, so make sure you buy one with the number of the right part for the right location.

The best thing to do is to remove your card, get the part number and order this way.

You can buy used but tested and functional cards on eBay through your search by part number. Don't look for the model number.

Or you can buy new from the store part of HP on the link below. Enter the reference number of the card wireless in the appropriate box.

If you do not live in the United States, you can change your country at the top of the page.

  • my monitor plug broken off on s5703w slimline motherboard, anyway to fix this?

Hello, my monitor plug broken off the turntable on the computer. It's a pavillion s5703w computer.  I don't see a way to fix this without having to replace the Board of Directors, which consist of the entire computer.  Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hello:

Yes, there are... Get a good video adapter.

For your video card, you must use a map of low profile with a slim-line mounting bracket, who works within the constraints of your 220W P/S.

It should work just fine.  You will need to remove the regular profile card comes with and replace by the low-profile support included in the box.

This card comes with an HDMI port output, which means that you may lose your onboard video after that you install.

If this occurs, restart the PC after installing the card and press the F10 key to access the BIOS.

Find the onboard audio setting. It will have the value Auto or disabled. Change the setting to Enabled here and press the F10 key to save the setting, and again, when you go out (save the settings and exit).

When you restart the PC, integrated audio system needs to be restored.

  • 1102sa wireless/n DM1

The wireless in my wife's cell phone card won't run no/n & she wants more internet ADSL - our superhub VirginMedia will take place in 5 GHz & will be my laptop. Can I replace the wifi in the 1102sa DM1 model card, if yes what I should order & it's easy to swap?

    Hello:

Here is the link to the dm1 maintenance manual.

    http://bizsupport2.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c01898746/c01898746.PDF

Wireless cards supported are in Chapter 3 from page 3-5.

    Please note the following:

    1. the card must be only one of those specified in the maintenance manual. Any other model will not work.

    2. the card must have the part number HP on it or it won't work.

The card only dual-band (2.4/5.0 GHz) available for this model is the Broadcom 4322AGN WLAN 802.11b/g/n module.

You can buy one directly from HP on the link below. If you do not live in the United States, change the country on the top of the page to place your order.

    http://h20141.www2.HP.com/hpparts/default.aspx?mscssid=E1E958FBA92A484EAEAAE649E23F1160

Make sure you ask your search for a card by the correct part number based on which country you live webcam.

You can also find much cheaper on eBay occasionally, but tested and functional maps.

Yet once, ask your search by part number, of HP not the model of the card to avoid disappointment.

You can find the procedures for removal and replacement of in Chapter 4, beginner wireless card on page 4-11.

I think that most people would consider it relatively easy to change the map.

  • Looking for a tutorial on the capabilities of geoPDF

I do the homework on geoPDFs and features player must interact with them.  I use ArcGIS of ESRI Desktop and understand how to preserve the layers for Reader users can turn power layers.  I also learned how to make a tag to the image of the card in the reader.  I heard there was a way to add layers, but cannot tell if this can be done in the drive or if it takes Acrobat.

I am very interested to know if the reader can display tabular data (via a click on the point, for example).

Y at - it a complete tutorial on geoPDFs, how to help them and that a reader user can do with them?

BTW, we are working on web interactive maps so make a geoPDF may be less kill. However, it is very convenient if we can get some interactive features built into PDF files of card that we build.

    Thank you

  • Color shifted in iPad vs MacPro/MacBook Pro 17

I had created file CMYK in Adobe Illustrator CS6 for visit/logo card, etc. I placed the file have in InDesign CS6 card holders (two pages) document.

High quality printing to PDF, then exit card from InDesign document. Just out of curiosity, I opened the file print CMYK on my iPad 2 and quickly noticed that the color shifted sightly on iPad 2 in contrast on MacBook Pro 17 unibody and Mac Pro - base 12.

I suspect it has much to do with CMYK color management setting on preflight InDesign export to PDF?

Just tell me what exactly I did wrong? Am I assuming that the color change is due to CMYK is not interpreted correctly on iPad, only RGB, correct?

Thanks for any help and comments. And please confirm if I guess wrong or right. And tell me why I think wrong. Or if I'm right, or both? If I can help out in the right approach.

I can't wait to hear some views. Have a good.

    Best, Brian

    (1) it has no color management available on any mobile device that I know.

    (2) any communication to the viewing on screen must remain in RGB because it's native color space of monitors, Tablet screens, etc.
