HP touchsmart tx2 display at startup problems

When starting the laptop, the lower part of the display becomes unusable. There are two parallel and horizontal white lines on the screen or there are a few colors, but they are completely "washed" in the lower part of the screen. In both cases, the computer becomes useless because there is no way of knowing where the cursor is. After several reboots, meet you at the normal state, but it's random, it occurs usually after the computer has been turned off for a while. To solve the problem, when I am in windows I turn off the monitor and turn it back on several times and the screen returns to normal.

Is - this BIOS related? someone at - there have a solution for this?

I flashed my BIOS with the latest verious of the BIOS of the computer the video problem on startup disappeared (at least during the last two boot-up cycles).  Recommend that you try it.

    Hey guys.

l am trying to install Windows XP on my new HP Touchsmart TX2, but the startup configuration every time l, the Tx2 stops with a blue screen when loading drivers. l tried with several discs, even those created with nLite and understood the SATA drivers, but nothing has worked.

Does anyone else have this problem?

    Thank you

    Nightmare

    @Nightmare,

You need to integrate your drivers Sata (only x 86 drivers) with nLite.

Here are the Sata drivers for you. Just unRAR it drivers with Winrar. (This driver is different then what gave you Cheryl.)

Here you will find the file .doc with guide how to integrate this with Windows XP Sata driver. (You will need to open the Microsoft Office).

Here you will find the file with the same guide *.pdf . (You must open the Acrobat Reader software. Download link for this program here. Select your language and your system it.).

Also, remember that you use at least version of WinXP SP2 . If you have not got the version SP2 here you can download this service pack and here you have a guide to how to integrate this with XP file written by nLite.

In nLite, you can even burn your new XP CD with these changes.

I hope this will solve your problem.

  • HP Touchsmart TX2 1270US reinstall Windows 7

    Hello

I have a HP Touchsmart Tx2 I 1270US updated since Vista about six months ago. Quite recently, my laptop started to act up. Now it crashes when connecting (just before my password screen), I have to force close down. It freezes Explorer (that prevent me from throwing anything) and slowed down considerably. I would like to do a clean install and reinstall all my software from HP site. The two questions I have are,
Can I reinstall Windows 7 with my upgrade disk? I really don't want to have to go back to Vista (Wait For hours while bloatware and the drivers are installed) and then attend re-setting level to Windows 7.
The other issue I had is on auto rotation (it's a coincidence that it is). The screen rotates automatically to the opposite landscape when I convert it to a tablet. Does anyone know where is the driver or the file to do this? I don't see it on the HP support site.
Also, I do not make an image of the system because of the space (or lack thereof) on my external hard drive (Excuses, excuses)... So I can't just restore.
    Thanks in advance!
P.S. I found all the other drivers and files I think I need on the site of HP support (I hope so: O).

To avoid having to phone activation, it would be better you really reinstall Windows Vista, and then repeat the upgrade. If you don't want...

If your computer comes with a qualifying previous license such as Windows Vista or Windows XP and the certificate of authenticity is still attached to the machine in good condition, then the COST is reason enough to represent the compliance to the software license agreement. No previous required software installation, which means you can do a clean install with Windows 7 Upgrade disk.

How to do a clean install with upgrade disc:

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD

    Click Install now

    Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

    Click on drive Options

Select the disc/s click on Delete

    Click new

    Click on apply

    Click OK

Click Format, and then click next to proceed with the installation

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it

Click next to complete the activation.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

    or

  • HP Touchsmart Tx2 1024ca.

So a few months I posted because that randomly my serial number and the name of the product from my Touchsmart Tx2 laptop disappeared to be replaced by 1234567890 and Soyuz 3.0.  I was correct, without being able to find a solution because the computer itself still worked.

When I turn on my laptop (running windows 7 Home premium) I can single connection before she pronounces it now wants to restart without letting me see the blue screen that says. Or he hangs up and freezes and I have to reboot myself.

The same thing happens in Mode safe, apparently by chance I can connect at times.

Tried to get this back to an earlier point, problems persist.
CD/DVD drive is recognized by the computer / device but Manager does more or the other.

Currently, I have no money to replace my laptop, so this isn't an option, but if anyone has any ideas / tips, they would be greatly appreciated. Because now I'll see if I can fix the restarting so I can see what the beautiful blue screen has to tell me. Will update this if I can get more information.

    Edit:

    Noticed before computer shutdown errors do not have to be turned on;

    0x0000000A & 0x0000003D.

Transferred and took my computer to my girl in town IT probably will never know exactly what is happening, but it is back in working order.

  • TouchSmart tx2-1370us Recovery Disc Set failure

I am writing on behalf of my sister.  Here is his story:

Screen of her laptop TouchSmart tx2-1370us broke earlier.  It's under warranty where she bought in so he was expelled to be repaired.  When he returned, the screen has been set, but there was a note indicating that they had lost its Windows 7.  The computer loaded and executed perfectly, but it was the pop-up "is not a genuine copy of windows.  She claims that she was unable to read the sticker product key the computer good enough to get it to accept anything, she entered.  When she called the store, they said that HP would be able to help get it back.  HP sold its recovery disks which were to restore the computer.  It is a 3 disc set, marked 2 System Recovery DVD Windows 7 Home Premium and 1 additional CD labeled Application & Driver recovery CD.  CDs ran several times still to come as fruitless after the first 2 CDs.  I won't get in his experience of the customer support, but she claims that she spoke on the phone with HP 6 times in the course of a week and nothing they had to say or to offer.  Always unsuccessful recovery message.  She abandoned, almost crying at this time, and I said I'll try.

After a bit of searching I found a patch on the HP website that would supposedly solve the problem of recovery disks.  The patch was properly installed, green checkmark and all, and all 3 CDs was successfully.  The computer restarts, the screen of the Installation of the HP software ran for a while before another restart then the usual recovery failure message.  I tried many times with the same result every time.  I saved the newspaper from the last go to it and post it below.  It seems the States BIOS Vista as OS, but she bought the computer pre-loaded with Windows 7.  Could there be something in that fact cause a problem?

Someone suggested to reset the BIOS to factory default, but that didn't work either.

When you save the log to USB, I could see all of the files, there are 3 readers listed SDV (C Local disk (D & BOOT (X))

    Lets take a chance it's for W7

Go here and download the correct version of W7 (home or pro, they have not a starter edition), version 32 or 64 bit and the language, it's going to be a file iso very large, once downloaded, burn it to a blank disc DVD + R as an Image, this can be done on a Windows 7 PC, right-click on the iso file and select 'Open with' > 'windows disc image burner.

    http://www.mydigitallife.info/official-Windows-7-SP1-ISO-from-Digital-River/

This will make a regular windows 7 installation disc allows you to get Windows installed, use the key to see if it will be ignited.

Then, you will need to download the drivers for your specific model on the HP site and install it.

You can determine what is written in the registry key by using the Process Monitor program

How to start windows from a cd or dvd

If the page install Windows does not appear and you are not asked to press a key to start (or "boot") from CD or DVD, you may have to specify that your computer use its CD or DVD drive as the boot device. This means that you must set the CD or DVD drive as the first startup device in the basic input/output system (BIOS). Here's how:

  • TouchSmart tx2 digitizer pen acts as if it was more 'ink '.

    Hello

I have a TouchSmart tx2 1370us possessing a pen from the digitizer.  I don't know if the pen or display for the pen hardware goes wrong.  The best way to describe what I see is when a real pencil is about to run out of ink. When you write, you get a little ink, then nothing and then ink again.

I would like to be able to determine if it's the pen or display hardware which is a failure.

    I tried the following.

Installed Windows 7: the same results

    Install windows 8: same result

Note: each installation of Windows was a new installation again.  No upgrades or 'repair' installation.

I'm pretty confident that it is not a driver issue because the result was the same.  I tried with the pilots and pilots of the digitizer.  Windows supports the pen without the drivers of manufacturing.  honestly, I have the best results in time of response without drivers leaving the default windows drivers to support the pen.

I know that the display was not all tasks 'dead' because the pen is able to operate in all areas of the screen, but eventually it will stop writing on the screen a bit and stutter a bit and then resume writing.  The cursor will disappear at the same time.  During the failure of pen touch and mouse will continue to function.

The fault returned the pen usless right now and I would like help to determine if the pen is defective and, possibly, a new pen.  I think that HP would be a good source to know that there could be a solution or a previous case in the CV database. I was not able to find a solution from the side of consumers.

    -Thank you

I bought a replacement ballpoint pen, and so far things are working properly.  So far, the issue seems to have been the pen.
