  (If not - do.  If the other monitor - a larger - hopefully works, then you know that it's a hardware problem).

  I have a TV of 40 inches (Toshiba) that I use for my main setting, I have to use a HDMI adapter / VGA for use as the TV do not have VGA only HDMI and the computer has VGA, DVI, so I bought a converter and plugged to the computer went to my TV and HDMI 1 settings and it says no video , it was all tight it is screwed and everything seemed fine on my small thumb 25 setting but on the 40 inch TV, it says NO VIDEO.   Until the entry of the screen is the viudeo output which is available on the desktop PC, it will be compatible. The dekstop PC has VGA and DVI outputs. Just use a cable that allows you to connect both devices and you'll get the video.

  I see that the screen has both. I highly recommend the digital video input instead of the VGA NICU.

  You will need a DVI cable.

  This LCD monitor can be connected to a comcast box and used a TV? I am not knowledgeable on the jargon and terms related to the display technologies so may not be the question in a technically correct way, please forgive this. What we have is a proper HDTV in the living room and a connection from comcast as a cable source. I want to use this HP monitor as a second display for my laptop computer and if possible in a bedroom tv. I have a coaxial output available in the bedroom, but I guess that can be used at all. If the answer is Yes, it can be used as a TV, then what all is necessary to do so (fancy cables? / some other hardware?)

  You go needed an another Comcast set-top box (STB) with a HDMI to get the best picture. Do not spend a lot of money on an HDMI cable.  www.pccables.com has good HDMI cables at a reasonable price.  You can always connect your laptop to the screen with the VGA cable.

  There is also a driver for LCD 19 inch HP w1907 screen available for Vista which was released in October 2008 with the same Version, but I don't know if it is the same driver for the HP w1907 19 inch Widescreen LCD Monitor.

  In General, any external monitor is compatible.
  But the question is how do you want to connect the external monitor to the laptop

  For example the Satellite C650D - 10H supports the port external monitor (RGB port) only.
  If you need to use this port to connect the external monitor.

  It seems that the Hanns G HL195 18.5 inch widescreen LED monitor supports the VGA input, so you should be able to connect this monitor using normal VGA cable.
