HPE-140sc disk at risk

Hi all

Recently, I had some problems with my hpe-140sc. Its been crashing all the time, hang up the freezing and so on... Very unstable, at the same time, then a few hours of smooth functioning. I just thought it was a kind og software problem and I've been reporter to do a full format and reinstall win 7 (64-bit).

But now, I got an error message from windows that there is an error on the disc. Program of fast storage Intel shows that my main drive is in jeopardy and I can set it to normal.

Can I run anytype of diagnosis on the disk? How? HP there software for this or is there some kind of great freeware?

Any suggestions? (I think that I backed up everything) Normally I just run the error code and get all the answers, but I can't seem to find a good error code for google this time.

Thank you!

Hello

See the tests, but it sounds like the HARD drive is a failure.

Kind regards

Is this possible update in hpe-140sc Office GTX460 video card (for example: http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=GzUUe0FnTrrLGjNh )?  To the homepage of HP are not a lot of specs on the mother of HPE-140sc (MS - 7613 IONA-GL8E).

Pether, there are two things to consider:

    (1) existing power supply (PSU) a 460W.  The specifications in the link you provided do not mention the minimum power required.  If she needs a 500W or more, you need to upgrade the PSU.

    (2) the map in the link is 9.8 "length.  It will be a tight, fit if it will suit all.  In addition, it is a double profile card (two wide slots).

If you can solve these two problems, the card should work without any problems.

  • Warning of risk in raid 0 disk

    Hi all

    My system:

    Windows7 64 bit

    First CS4

    motherboard: X58A-UD3R

    CPU: Intel core I7 930

    6 GB OF RAM

I got my new system. I leave the computer shop set up for me with Raid 0. "There is a warning in an application called"Intel Rapid storage technology"on one of the disks in the raid indicating:"disk at risk"and it has a yellow triangle warning sign. When I press the "reset to normal", once again it has the green checkmark, but after a while returns the warning. I got to the lab only to find out that they are not so professional. They have checked all disks, told me they were OK and that the warning did not appear again. When I get back the computer I discovered that I had to set up matrix Raid 0 again in the Intel app and after cela returned warning.

Someone has encountered this problem before?

I know it's more a computer problem, but there are knowledgeable people here, which can be experienced with raid, so I thought I would ask here.

Thanks for any info you may have

  • Disk error backup external hard Time machine

    Hello
While that hurry to catch a flight, I accidentally disconnected my external hard drive (which I use for time machine backups) before ejecting.  Now the House, the time machine backup does not recognize my external hard drive.  I went into disk utility to try to repair the disk.  Here's what he said:

I could really use some help as to how I should proceed.  Any advice?

I think you need to clear this backup disk, and while you are this and do a full backup (which takes all afternoon to all night) you will be working without a net. If you do in idle time, and after checking your boot disk, the risk of catastrophic failure while the backup is low. Start now and in the future, you will have a backup.

If you have a different backup disk, add it and Time Machine will create a new independent backup on it, and then Time Machine alternate disks automatically.

  • Satellite Z830 - drop out Wireless adapter / conflict with USB

My Z830 Satellite has a weird problem. Wireless connectivity works well until I have plug in a usb key into the usb port 3 on the side. The wireless, then falls after a period and then it does not find the available wireless connections. It effectively kills the wireless adapter, or at least makes it less reliable.

You must restart to recover the connection. I tried with several different usb storage devices with the same result. Both wireless and usb drive work fine, but not at the same time. This occurs regardless if the use of the battery or when it is plugged. I checked the power settings to ensure there wasn't a problem there. Everything is right on install/factory in general settings, so I can't imagine that's all what I changed.

I'm at work, but I'll see if I have the same problem with the usb at the back, or a disk takes hard usb powered, when I get home. It's really annoying, because you cannot use the net and let in a usb disk without risking a fall on the. I haven't checked messing around with settings of USB root hub or from IRC, as it seems unlikely. Any thoughts or is a matter of "give it back to Toshiba" - I'd rather not have the downtime. It took me a while to work on this has been the problem.

The wireless connection is very strong when the ultrabook is used, so is not a question of signal strength.

    Hello

To be honest, I've ever read on similar issues.
Did you check if the problem occurs with other ports USB or does it use a special port of Z830 Satellite?

In your case I recommend also using HARD drive recovery option and to set the system back to factory settings to make sure that there is no software related issue.

I understand that you are having problems removing the aforementioned file. Basically, it's one of the hidden Windows files, and I suggest you try the following methods to remove.

    Method 1:

I suggest you to run Disk Cleanup and check if that helps you remove unwanted files.

    To open Disk Cleanup:

    (a) press the Windows key + R

    (b) type: %windir%\system32\cleanmgr.exe

    (c) click OK.

Important: Exercise of disk cleanup on the hard disk, a risk of losing important data available on bad sectors on the disc is involved.

If the problem persists, try the following method.

    Method 2:

You can also delete the file mentioned when running your system in Mode safe. See the following steps to start the system in safe mode and then delete the file.

    1. Press Windows key + R, type in msconfig and press enter.

  • HPE-270e: HP Pavilion Elite HPE - Desktop PC - startup disk degradded - 270e cannot restore

Out for the weekend and came back to a disk cataotrophic failure.  Also missing mirror - although I should have replaced the mirror a couple of months, when I noticed a problem.

Anyway... have tried to find an image of Windows 7 Home Prem OA HP on the HP Support site so that I can recharge/reinstall once I replaced the discs.  Probably a good time for one SSD drive.

So where can I find the Windows 7 image for this server, HPE-270e?  What STINKS - I've just upgraded to Windows just 10 a week back but will deal with it once I get my system back up and running.

Ordinarily, I advise to use HP recovery media to restore your PC to its original state. That would erase the entire disk, format the drive and install the operating system, drivers and utilities HP.

Unfortunately, there is no support of HP recovery related to HP for your PC Product Page. This could be an oversight by HP, or it could also mean that HP stock is no longer the recovery media for your PC. They store any long recovery media for older PCs.

You can try to contact the HP customer directly, using the links below, to see if you can order them if:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: once you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to someone ' one - it can take a while!

If HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you should check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

Even if it is very slow, you must make a return upwards before the race "repair disk". The risk of data loss is minimal, but do it anyway: Save and run to repair the disk.

As for what it implies - most of the time nothing more than simply sitting and waiting to do his thing.

  • Problem Win7 HPE-150ff recovery with recovery disks

Hi - I have a desktop HP HPE-150ff under Windows & Home Premium computer which had the HARD drive go bad.  Original is a 1 to Seagate - I bought a 2 TB Seagate ST2000101, 6 Gb/s, 7200 RPM HARD drive to replace it.  I removed the old drive and connected the new drive and started the recovery using recovery disks that I made when the PC was new.  Like others here, things seemed to be going well until he completed the download and tried to restart.  Next, I get the dreaded "Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer hardware.

After doing some checking, I have changed the setting to the Bios SATA to AHCI and also tried IDE.  just returned to the same installation point and is suspended.

I saw the reference to download updated Intel drivers, but I don't see a place in recovery to install.

What is the latest thinking on the best way to get this to recover?  I was thinking of doing a new 1 TB drive, but what I've read, the 2 TB should work correctly.

Any help is appreciated.  Thank you!

    Hello:

BIOS AHCI and just for fun, let's see if you make your own regular install of W7 disc works.

Use the product key on the PC to enter and do not activate.  Just to see if you do not get this error.

Here's what you need to do.

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. The link below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.

    http://download.CNET.com/Windows-7-USB-DVD-download-tool/3000-18513_4-10972600.html

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

    http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/14709-Windows-7-Digital-River-direct-links-multiple-languag...

If it works, I live just with that because I have no idea why do not have the recovery disks.

You have only the mouse, the keyboard and the monitor connected to the PC during the recovery, correct?

You are right, because a 2 TB HDD in your relatively modern PC should work very probably.

The Windows.old folder is your ticket to uninstall Windows 7 and roll back to Vista.

If you are happy with the results of leveling, can access all your data files, all that you have transferred to the E-mail, the .old folder can be deleted.

  • Re-Setup disk in series HPE - 410 t

    Hi all:

I want to buy a desktop computer HP, turnstile, a machine of HPE - 410 t series. To hear that recently, HP did not reinstall with the sold machine drive, especially for machines installed with Windows 7. Is this true?

Previously, when I buy a new machine, the first thing we do is to re - install the PC with the cd/dvd of relocation to get a clean system. The default installation of factory, whether it's HP or DELL, has too much garbage in the machine.

Without the reinstallation disk, can I still do a clean reinstall for myself?

    Hello

HP include the software on the new machine (called Recovery Manager) that allows you to burn a set of recovery DVDs.  You can also contact HP and order a set of recovery DVDs even though I think it is a $20 fee.  Road no matter what you take, however, the recovery DVDs will also be re - install all the software.

I usually use a Revo Uninstaller on the link below, to remove what you don't want.

    I hope this helps.

  • HPE-140F - why aren't my card reader disks does not?

    Hello

I don't know what is happening to here so let me explain what happened to my PC.

I had a hard disk crash.  Before the crash, I had the following text:

C programs, D is the original Image, not sure where the DVD player was, then I got my card reader disks with the I don't know being the H drive, SD card reader and then I got my data like drive J (separate disk) disk, more a drive external backup like K and everything worked very well.

I replaced the main drive, because that's what was the crash, I also spent 1 to 2 TB hard drive, now I have C & D drives is the same DVD as F drive and my drive of current data, e, my external backup hard drive is the same that it is a K.  When I go to Explorer by looking at my computer, I don't see card reader drives, even though I know that if I insert an SD card into the reader, he appears to be one I'm driving.

Different maps I have as long as they don't suddenly change the drive letters (all user folders are not there on C), and I would like to see the card reader disks.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Thank you

    Bill

I finally found the setting to display hidden records.

They can explain it better that I can and I am happy that it is not my computer.

I think I understand also why power drive letters, before I added the disc after everything has been installed, so it was the next available drive letter in disk management, now it comes before everything else, so I finally answered my own questions.
