HPE-460z with Aloe-GL8E mobo

DOE the HPE-460z with the card mother Aloe-GL8E (Foxconn H-RS780-Μatx) fitted with ports eSATA to the rear of the case? If so, how?

Big_Dave wrote:

Another option is to extend an open motherboard sata at the back of the PC port.  Since this would be a sata one port verses esata port he would not have to be hot but would be link just a sata port internal (bootable).

NewEgg has the sata to esata brackets for $6. I think it's the best solution. Thanks to Big_Dave.

    FIXED!

    I found this document: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02534104/c02534104.pdf

I feel stupid now.  Page 5 and 6 were the key.  I thought the cable provided in the package was just in case you wanted to tie in other internal usb devices so that they would be 3.0.  Not the case!  The cable supplying power to the card via a SATA connection.  Once I did, it works perfectly!  Probably can work with any driver that I had downloaded.  Just because it's that a tech support had initially recommended, currently using one of SP51756.

P.S. The actual speed turns out not be 10 x faster, at least with this driver, but it is two times faster in my initial test, which is a big improvement.  It could be that it will be faster with a newer driver, some adjustments or a different set of data to be copied.

    Have a great day!

  • HP Pavilion HPE h8 - 1285 g-d mobo doesn't support Kingston pc3 12800 (1600 MHz)

    Buy Hp Pavilion HPE h8 - 1285d that comes with hp 4 GB ddr3-1600 in mid-August 2012.

Motherboard is IPMMB-FM (Formosa). Product H1N22AA number

Need another 4 GB of ddr3-1600 to 8GB ddr-1600. Buy Kingston HyperX 8 GB 1600 Mhz DD3 (set of 2).

Try it, motherboard is worth 8 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3.

HP technicians try and fix it, but to no avail. No choice but to buy only HP brand 4 GB ddr-1600.

The motherboard can now read as 8 GB ddr-1600 (Dual channel).

My question is why can't the motherboard stand NOT Kingston HyperX but ONLY from HP?

Then it defeats the purpose in information release of products where under memory upgrade information

    Supports modules DIMM DD3

    -PC3 10600 (1333 Mhz)

    -PC3 12800 (1600 Mhz)

No particular BRAND is mentioned for PC3-12800 (1600 Mhz). If the product information reported

that HP can only take over the PC3 12800 (1600 Mhz), I would certainly NOT bought the PC in the first

    place.

    Can do something about it?

Formosa has chipset Intel Z75 about it, so I'm not sure what this mobo can support Kingston HyperX DIMM. Based on the link below to Kingston memory FAQ, this particluar DIMM only works on the motherboard with a chipset of Intel Sandy bridge Z68.  This means that the Kingston HyperX DIMM you bought is not compatible with motherboard Formosa.

    http://www.Kingston.com/us/memory/HyperX/FAQs?cat=HyperX-Mkt-FAQ

How will I know if my system can support HyperX Plug n Play?

Rep. : Your system supports HyperX Plug and Play as long as you meet the following criteria: your system must use a second generation Core i5 or Core i7 processor, a Sandy Bridge P67 or chipset Z68

Hope this helps and sorry for the trouble there cause on your side.

  • HP Pavilion Phoenix h9-1011ru: the GPU with Pegatron 2AB5 MoBo upgrade

    Hello guys,.

I am trying to upgrade my current GPU (gtx 550 Ti) with a new one: GIGABYTE GV-N660OC-2GD.

However, when I connected the new GPU, computer booted up to the HP logo screen, then stopped responding. The old GPU works very well.

My motherboard is Pegatron 2AB5. I tried updating the BIOS, it was hard to find, but I managed to locate him. Did not help however.

Is this motherboard simply not compatible with modern graphics processors? It beats a little keypoint marketing of Phoenix to be a system upgrade of the environment. Is it possible to know what GPU I could upgrade then?

Maybe there is not enough power? The computer has 600Wt.

    I'd appreciate any help.

  • Question about 'tailor-made' series HP Pavilion Elite HPE-300z with 1 GB ATI Radeon 5770

First of all, hi. Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I have a question regarding the "Customize & buy" setting for the HP Pavilion Elite HPE-300z series.

I go to 'customize' this computer and then to buy it:
    http://www.shopping.HP.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can_series.do?StoreName=computer_store&category=...

In the process of personalization, to the choice of graphics card, I chose 1 GB ATI Radeon HD 5770 [dual-link DVI, HDMI, DP, VGA adapter]

The ATI Radeon HD 5770 requires a power supply with a 450W, right?
Well, while I was looking for in the specifications of this computer, I saw that the POWER unit is 300W...

    Now, here's my question...

Modernize the power supply for the card works properly or I have to replace it myself when I get to the computer?

HP has been known for graphics cards special at times that are tuned out. This power supply should be more centered around the amperage on the bus + 12 volts.  I saw some power supplies to 300 watts with an amp 19 to note on the bus + 12 volts.

I'd feel better if HP mounted the 5770 with a supply of 460 watt with 24 amps on the bus + 12 volts.

Call sales and find out for sure.

Not all video cards and power supplies are created equal.

  • Pavilion P6610f MV417AA #ABA: MODEL PAVILION P6610F BM417AA with ALVORIX-GL8E motherboard and AMD 785 chipset does support UEFI

I just plugged a 4 TB WD external hard drive.  NOT too much computer.  NEED HELP!  The computer display as free of 3.63 to 3.63 TB properties.  It was just plug n play set up - I did nothing besides plug it.  I think that it is in the MBR format.  I really don't know about the MBR vs. GPT and how the drive must be formatted, but I understand that the motherboard must support UEFI if I change to TPG and I still want to add MBR for a starting System.  I'm so confused.  Help, please.

Pavilion Elite HPE-460z with H-RS780 (or perhaps 880 - mother Μatx & card ATI Radeon HD5570)

What are my limits in replacement of the card.

Seems I have lost the HDMI connection, can not find a way to restore and OK with replacement because I would switch to a dual HDMI output as well as a third output for PC monitor.

Mother a PCI-E x 16 card slot (gen 2.0): my main concern here is the "16" correct? should I worry if the replacement card is PCI 2.1 x 16 or PCI 3.0 x 16?

Most of the cards these days would be compatible with my Windows 7.

PC power supply should be sufficient to 460w

For any other question to watch?

    Thanks for your help

    Hello @rikelu6,

By the looks of your computer as long as the chosen graphics card agrees with your power needs you'll be fine. Even in this case, you can change the power supply if necessary. With regard to the PCIe aspect you have a Gen 2.0 so you're fine with any graphics card you choose.

I hope this helps. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a wonderful day!

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 580t: SATA HDD recognized and boots with the 2nd HARD drive, but not without

    Hello

I have a Pavilion HPE - 580t with windows 7 installed.  The original drive (Drive1) has (according to Windows Disk Manager), a 100 MB system partition, a partition of 1 GB operating system and recovery partition.  The drive began to generate disk errors.  I added a second SATA (lecteur2), which has been recognized in the BIOS - it always appears at startup.

I do not have to implement a system of lecteur2, but re-installed Windows 7 100 MB partition using lecteur2 as boot drive (not a cover), and it works fine, for most.  Reader1 still generates errors and slows down the office, but if I disconnect reader1, lecteur2 is ignored at the start, as the Bureau attempts a network boot.  I have confirmed in Windows OS is the start of the lecteur2, not reader1, but once again, lecteur2 is ignored as boot device if reader1 is not present.  I should add that this was the case when I was reinstalling the OS, I tried unplugging reader1 prior to re - install, but could not do and still access lecteur2.

I tried to go up during the boot sequence in the Setup (F10), no change.  One additional thing - Setup (F10) is available that when reader1 is connected - F10 key has no effect at startup if reader1 is detached.  F10 Setup runs from the system on Disk1 area?  Any ideas on what I need to do to drop Drive1?

    Thank you

    David

I can now tell you 2 things on your system.

    (1) the original hard drive is 1.5 TB and that is embedded in the tattoo of HP.

    (2) you cannot use a disk less than 1.5 TB as primary drive.

Never seen a facility like this scheme start between readers.  The only way I see on this perdictament is to remove the 1 TB drive and let the process of recovery of re - install the operating system. Then immediately clone the original on a new disk of 1.5 or 2 t. Attention to not exceed 2 TB. Seagate and WD has a free program for Disk Wizard for cloning option.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01925486

This document says that X 4, X 3, Athlon CPU will work

Please check if Phenom X 6 will work.

Keep also updated the graphics card.  Radeon 5770 the best card for this system or is there new Radeon products that will work?

    Thank you

Please see this forum thread titledHP Pavilion p6302f support amd phenom x 6 1055 t."and this thread titled 'processor the fastest on a card mother Aloe-GL8E HP' of possible answers to your question. Your computer uses HP part #618937-002-motherboard - Aloe (PWM B, 125W E0 supported) and already has an AMD Phenom x 6 1045 T in the choice of processors. Based on this information and if your BIOS is v6.xx, I would say that most 125 watt X 6 processors will work.

Almost any PCIe x 16 graphics card will work on your computer... only limited by the physical size and power. Your computer comes with a 300 Watt power supply, so choice of graphics card will be limited to low-end that if you replace the power supply with something like Corsair CX500, or CX600.
