HPSYSDRV Ap?

Hi, this is Steve and need help after talking to two Microsoft tech who couldn't help me.  So I have not responded to their survey help.  I did a full restore on my computer about 6 weeks to get rid of windows 10 download that does not work, come to know out of my computer is not compatible with Win 10.  I ran to the 'RUN' the other night for msconfig command!  Now, I see the hpsysdrv disappeared?   How important is it to have in the start menu to the top?  In the system tray, my flag said I was missing starting HP drivers and asked me to report to Microsoft.  My computer works fine, just worried about hpsysdrv drivers?   Would appreciate any help before I consider doing a full restore operation...  I restarted my computer and kept clicking on the F11 key and it came that I could make a full recovery, which Microsoft said that I could do either, their bad for sure...  If I can do a restore, but do not want to...   Technology Microsoft told me that hysysdrv has disappeared because I did a restore?   Any help for this 60 year old man?     Steve

hPSYSDRV is a program that keeps track of how many times you have recovered your OS recovery. That said

This article provides some time how the system has been recovered and the time of recoveries and surname made on the system. Leaving unchecked will sometimes prevent the keyboard Manager program to detect that the computer is a HP. Given that this pilot was only made to run on HP, if she can't tell it's a HP, it won't work. If not checked, it can prevent the functioning of the Application Recovery CD, the use of the multimedia keys and the HP Instant Support.

I suggest you contact HP for that on the way to recover.

  • What programs do you need to run it when starting a desktop HP Pavilion Windows Vista-based computer?

I have several programs running on my start up and am not sure that is necessary and which are not.  I got a slow computer and the performance isn't there as if it was once.  I have recently removed spyware from my computer and wonder if some of these programs may also be the same.  When you run the start up programs are:
Persistence Module, igfx hkcmd Module, (default), hpwsSchd Application, Kbd Stub & hpsysdrv Module of the drawer.  If you have any suggestions or know of these programs that can affect the performance of my office please answer this and give me your feedback.  Thanks in advance

You need very little running at startup for any computer and what * you * must will be different from what someone else * needs *.

Go through the list of things that you have running at the start of the system/user log in using "AutoRuns" and then configure (or remove if you wish) applications you don't want start up accordingly using their own settings (preferable) or seeing their request to start location (registry (, startup folder, etc.) and remove it (last resort) or - if you don't need the app start / all - to remove it through programs and features.

    Since you mentioned the spyware...

Download, install, update and perform complete system analysis with:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

These two things will help, somewhat, by ensuring that you don't have anything left behind actively running (or in some cases, sitting idle waiting to be triggered.)

  • Activate the Popup Volume?

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, and I have a HP keyboard with volume up, volume down and cut keys on this subject. I don't know the name of the product of the keyboard, but I don't know the serial number: 5335U. The volume keys work fine, but they used to display an icon on the screen with the volume level when I pressed the keys. Somehow, this icon does not apperar more. Can someone help me please? Thank you.

I found the solution. Try to click on start and type msconfig in the search box. Then in the System Configuration window go to the tab "Start" and select 'HP MediaSmart SmartMenu' and 'hpsysdrv Application' and click OK. You must restart your computer for the changes to take effect. It is the only method that I know and it worked for me, but you can try it on your computer and check if it works for you.

  • What can I safely dsiable in the configuration of the system to make the computer faster?

I'm disabling certain programs to make my computer faster to boot. which of these can I disable safely?

    hpsysdrv Application
    Intel(r) Common User Interface
    Intel(r) Common User Interface
    Intel(r) Common User Interface
    Google update
    Pronto
    hpwuSchd Application
    Norton Online Backup
    Full PDF
    The Logitech camera software
Java (TM) Platform SE Auto updater 2 0
    Adobe Reader and Acrobat Manager
    PowerReg

Be very careful that you disable.  I must say that I have disabled the update of Google because it was a real pain he having to download updates on a daily basis.  These Adobe updates are a pain as well, and if you miss a couple of them, it will not be a big deal.  Complete PDF and Logitech camera software updates should be safe to turn off, but I doubt if that would save a lot.  Be sure to not very many changes at once so that if something goes wrong, you have a good idea of what caused it.

    Good luck.
