project style instrument driver

Hi all

1. What is the advantage or the importance of the project-style Instrument pilot pilot instrument type LLB?

2. in the event that the project file be located in the directory "C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 8.0\instr.lib"?

(My problem is if I use the driver to a location other than the mentioned directory, all the screws that are related to the trace showing C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 8.0\instr.lib\Chroma ATE 6310)

Please find the picture as an attachment.

Can someone explain why this happens?

Thank you

Davidson

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for the useful link. Cool

So if I need to get rid of the cross-connection, I need ( manually download) copy the driver to the C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 8.0\instr.lib"directory.

Thank you

Davidson

The VI in question is public > Action-status > configure > marker Configuration > Configure Marker.vi.

The question that I saw was that the marker was not be set to the frequency transmitted to the VI.  (The parameter named 'Stimulus'.)  I looked at the guide to the programmer for the Agilent 5071 B and decided that the format of the SCPI command string should probably:

    %.;:Calc%ld:Mark%ld %s;
    : CALC % ld: % ld MARK: X % lf

The ": X" had disappeared but seems necessary.

    Can this be verified?

Thank you for taking the time to look at it.

    Snood1,

I took a glance at the driver and manual of the programmer. It seems to me that the driver behaves as described in the manual should. Configure the Marker.vi use the following string to format the command:

    %.;:CALC%ld:MARK%ld %s;
    :CALC%ld:MARK%ld:X %lf

Is that what you see too? Looks like that's what you added yourself. What was the previous text? This is the text that was there when I downloaded the driver. When it is interpreted, it looks like this

    :CALC1:MARK1 OFF;
    :CALC1:MARK1:X 0.000000

As described in the ENA series Programmer manual, the first turns of the line of the marker reads OFF (page 283). The second line sets the value of the marker 1 (page 295) stimulation.

Let me know if this looks OK to you.

    Kind regards

  • SMU Chassis or modules appearing does not in NI Instrument Driver Finder/connecte Intstruments

New user, to debut with a chassis SMU-1073, controlled by a PC, with supply POWER 4113, 4145 SMU and 4071 modules DMM.

I installed all the drivers from the supplied USB system and I can indeed see/control of the chassis and modules of NI MAX.

When I try to see the modules Labview 2012 or 2014 (I'm looking for example VI to start) Instrument Driver finder does not show any chassis or modules.

Looking for support OR but could find no generic "Here's how to start using this box OR $20,000 without flinching" first steps to help.

So, I was hoping that it was a mistake and plug and play like the other instruments I connected and used. What I am doing wrong?

Do not use the finder of the instrument. Use the help > examples of find and refer to material input and output. Be specific in listing of the drivers you have installed.

  • How can I specify VISA as the interface of the wizard of IVI instrument driver?

After a long hiatus and to reinstall on a new hard drive, I resumed an IVI driver development. Previously, when I experienced, I was able to generate a driver that uses the API of VISA.

Now, on this new installation, when I start the wizard, the only choices I have are Gbspecifications FOR, serial and VXI (message and registry).

    How can I specify VISA?

    Hey Frog,

As this measure Studio LabWindows/CVI Instrument Driver Developer Guide , VISA i/o interface is the mechanism through which the pilot communicates with the hardware of the instrument. The IVI Instrument Driver Wizard allows you to only select among GPIB, VXI and series more specify the interface for your instrument.

    I hope this information helps!

  • Find the instrument Driver won't find 6070E vi

I have trying to find vi that have been written for card PXI-6070E.  Some fundamental, as output 1 V out of the DAC1OUT.

When I use "Find her Instrument Driver"... and interrogate National Instrument (company) and 6070E (additional keywords) I get no driver?  I remember being able to get to drivers before.

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you

Find the tool instrument Driver is for drivers of finding for instruments like scopes, DMM, power supplies, etc. The PXI - 6070E is a data acquisition card, so the examples it would be installed when you install the DAQmx drivers. You can find the examples in the example Finder (help-> find examples) and search for "DAQ" or see material input and output-> DAQmx folder in the menu tree.

  • Get CS3 to recognize the same project to another drive?

I have a couple of different external hard disks that have copies of my projects. Depending on what else is connected to my laptop the 2 drives can be named F, G, H, I, j, etc... The main external that I opened my project was named F:\ for very long. Now my laptop recognizes it as G:\. When I opened a project for this drive in the first, he asked where are all the files. When I try to rename the drive to the computer > FreeAgent drive (g) it's just renames it "FreeAgent drive F: (G :)". ", do not change the name of the real player. No matter what I unplug, restart the computer, etc.... the former F: drive is now recognized to G:.

In the first I can't find an easy way to get all the files that were previously associated with F: now to join G:.

Is there a way of to rename the F: drive through windows or within first first recognize that all of the files associated with the project are now on a G: drive.

I understand that I can reassociate the files individually in G: but that would take several hours.

Then you will have no problem changing the drive letter.

  • How to make an instrument driver appear in the Toolbox tools

    Hello

I created an instrument using driver to create a new instrument pilot project.  I have all the screws in place in the project and saved all, library and all in the instr.lib folder and have restarted labview and the screws are still not showing upward under instrument of e / s--> option instrument drivers.  could you please go on the process someone or just tell me what I might be missing to have these drivers appear in the Toolbox tools!

    Thanks for the help,

    Brent schenk

In the Start Menu get > Browse

In the create new window > project > project of the magician > Instrument pilot project

    Select the new driver model

Select the type of instrument you have

    Click next

    * Make sure that the location of the project is correct. I think that's where you're wrong.* *.

    It should say something like: C: / / Program Files / National Instruments/LabVIEW 8.5/instr.llb/yourproject/yourproject.lvproj

If you have the correct directory, it should appear in the library of instruments

  • Could not open any project or external drive backup files

    Hello world

The way I got things set up, is that my final cut pro project has been saved on the external drive. Whenever I open it, it picks up from the external hard drive. Recently, I had a power outage that stopped my external drive and crashed my FCP X. When I turned things on, I kept getting an error that the FCP closes unexpectedly. I have the option to ignore or to reopen. I tried to open my backups, but I get the same error. Sometimes he was telling me to save it to the internal drive and it would actually open, but I get a lot of lack of links to files. My mac doesn't have a lot of space, so I need to be stored on the external hard drive.

I thought that maybe it's my sharing and permissions of the drive in the menu get info, then I have everything given access, but does not work. I tried trashing the preference of the FCP, but that did not work.

I have version 10.2.3 and on Mac OSX 10.11.6 El Capitan

Could someone help me please? I don't know what else to do.

If outside go up OK, can find you the library problem, right click on the library icon and select

Display the contents of the package.

You can post a page please?

  • GarageBand projects on external drive

Can I create GarageBand projects on an external drive and work on them from this external hard drive? I'm considering the purchase of a G-Technology 2 TB G-Drive for this.

Yes, you can create, or move, any project of an external hard drive and work it from there

  • Instrument driver management

    Hi all

I use Labview 2013 and later to drive various instruments of laboratory, including power supplies, multimeters, generators, etc. of signals. The Labview drivers are located on the Web site of OR or the provider. However, since I use a lot of different instruments, how can I get the latest driver for way better to go to the websites and to constantly check?

Is there something like JKI instrument drivers?

    Thanks for letting me know.

Really expected to update you your instrument drivers under one of the three circumstances:

    1. you have a problem with your instrument, data, or program that you can trace back to a bug in the driver

    2. your instrument has its updated firmware to update or you buy a newer version and the newer version/firmware does not work with your existing driver more

    3. you have updated your version of LabVIEW and the old drivers no longer work

I know that during the debugging of generic or just PC problems PC maintenance it is always a good idea to update your drivers for your various pieces of hardware, but it must be remembered that most of the LabVIEW drivers are not really in the traditional sense device drivers, Windows device drivers are , but are rather wrappers around communication protocols IVI/VISA/etc which have predetermined commands all facts for you.

  • Impossible to select and place the Instrument Driver VI icons on the block diagram

I am trying to automate some of the RF measurements using a Rohde and Schwarz Spectrum Analyzer. I downloaded the Rohde and Schwarz spectrum analyzer pilot named 'rsspecan' version 2.6.1 for Labview on Rohde and Schwarz site to use in my version of the software labview 7.1.

I copied the files in the appropriate folders in the Labview software on the C drive files. I am able to access those files through the functions---> Instrument I / O---> range of Driver of instruments in the Labview diagram, but when I select the VI icon that I want to put, I am unable to place it on the block diagram. Instead of hovering under the cursor by clicking on the VI icon, by clicking on the icon of the VI has no answer whatsoever.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Thank you very much for the help.

So, is there a way to get the above mentioned pilot online Spectrum Analyzer, which will be also compatible with LabVIEW 7.1, so that I don't have to go through the conversion of version Board?

    Thanks again,

  • "Move a disc L: network project to C: drive - how to re-edit the files?

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/PremierePro/4.0/WS3D22F379-B6C7-4D8C-9548-26AA3E1EA74F.html

In the thread above "Moving a project to another computer", it states that the assets should retain their file names and folder locations so that Premiere Pro can find and automatically linking them to their clips in the project and even though I'm only a novice user of PP is standard advice for all software.  However, I can't find anywhere of the tips on how to exchange a project from a hard disk to one another on the same computer.

What I want to do is move that the media my network project files (L :) will Assembly computer C: drive as all advice here on hard drives must not to use network drives.  I copied the files on it but how do I replace the links to media files within the project PP which are currently pointing to the sub folders on my L:drive with a points to the same file name replacement, but with the path in the C: drive.  Sorry if it's a matter of numpties but I'm not the answer through research.

Reason for delay of the project - for a reason that the sequence files were lost when I have opened the project so I had to reuse the last auto-save good despite the loss of some editing work and the project had also suddenly started to take an hour to load all related media.  In the light of the opinion on the use do not network drives decided to remove one of the possible causes before going further with the risk of losing the edited file...

I strongly agree with Jim on the place where to move the project files and media.

Now, when you do not move the files, the (absolute) paths in the PRPROJ file, will be more correct. The drive letter will be changed.

When you open your project in its new location, you will get a box of question, 'Where is file _?' for the first active, where the link is now broken. Using the Finder, navigate to the folder where the missing first asset is NOW located and select this. PrPro will then look in this folder and automatically connect to all assets in this folder. If you have assets in several files, you need to repeat for each file, and the new, PrPro will connect to all assets in THIS folder. According to the folder/sub-folder hierarchy, you will have to repeat for all folders.

When all assets have been re-issued of the moment, I would immediately a Save_As, increment the name of the project, in order NOT to overwrite the original files Project - just in case you need to return to that.

    Good luck

    Hello

inDirectory is the directory that you want to find files in.
Ext is the extension you want. This is optional. If you don't provide it, all the files are listed.
stringP (ext) checks if the "ext" parameter is a string (non-zero). It is built based on Lingo
maxInteger is the largest integer Lingo can handle. It is built in constant Lingo

For example to use this feature

-to find all the "CSE" files in the same directory as the current movie

    inDirectory = the moviePath
    ext = "cst".
    put listFiles (inDirectory, ext)

Hope this makes it more clear.

  • With the help of NOR-5641R with FPGA and the instrument driver

    Hi Ran,

I don't think what you describe is possible for two reasons.

    1. You cannot run the pilot bitfile instrument at the same time as a user defined FPGA bit file

    2. AO ports are AC coupled, so you will not be able to generate a DC bias on them.
