html layout sensitive 5: search results

Hi all

I have a few questions on the search results page in sensitive HTML5 layout.

If you do research in sensitive html5 layout, you get the title of the topic as a clickable link. And get you underneath the path of htm on the subject. The next line is the first line of the heading.

search results.jpg

Does anyone know how to change it so that I'm not Thatcher the htm path in my search results. After the first clickable link, I would get either just the first line, or if this is possible at all, the first two lines.

As is - that someone knows where you specify the default settings for the search options?

We use robohelp 11 If this could be significant to this issue.

Thanks in advance

Peter

Before you begin, if you're on RH11.0.3, make sure you have the following fix: issues in RoboHelp 11.0.3

This fix is needed, otherwise you will not be able to open the .slp pages.

Remove the URL of Theme1:

  1. Open Topic.slp.
  2. Switch to HTML view.
  3. Delete the code: (default line 295).

With respect to the duration of the preview, I'm not sure it can be changed.

Default settings:

  • Highlight search results:

    1. Open Topic.slp.
    2. Switch to HTML view.
    3. To find
    4. The value for the attribute checked. You can choose between true (enabled) or false (disabled).
  • All search words:
    1. Open Topic.slp.
    2. Switch to HTML view.
    3. To find
    4. The value for the attribute checked. You can choose between true (enabled) or false (disabled).
  • Number of search results: no matter what you choose in the layout editor, you get just back to the default of generation. To resolve this problem, I think that you need to change the output file. In the output, find searchResCount and change the options available.

Kind regards

Willam

    RoboHelp HTML 9 with WebHelp output...

    I have a two part question. By default, when our users to do a search in compiling dhelp, they see 10 search results per page. Is there a place in my RoboHelp interface where I can change this for the greatest number? I found a line of code in a file *.js where it seems that I could change it manually, but would prefer not to have to do this route in the case which causes involuntary hiccups elsewhere.

    var nMaxResult = 10;

    Second part of my question is related to the statement in notes/new features release for RoboHelp 9 State users can control the search results notes max per page on-the-fly as they use the PDF search panel. This feature applies only to the WebHelp and WebHelp Pro and my output is WebHelp. I can see a line of code for this feature in the whfform.htm file but nothing shows like that in the search within compiled help pane. Is this a bug or is at - it a control somewhere in the settings of the RoboHelp project that allows me to activate this option for users? The last 2 lines below seems to control this area. The referenced items in the search pane in the first 4 lines appear ok in my search bar.

    gsTitle = "Type in the words to search for:";
    gsTitle = "Type in the words to search for:";
    gsHiliteSearchTitle = "culminating point search results."
    gsHiliteSearchTitle = "culminating point search results."
    gsMaxSearchTitle = "Search results per page";
    gsMaxSearchTitle = "Search results per page";

    Thanks for any idea that you can provide,

    KF

    I don't see anywhere in the configuration dialog box to control the number of search results, it seems that you have to edit this file.

    When the user goes to the 'search' tab, they should see this:

    See if you get this with a new project or one of the samples. Click Open in the start page of RoboHelp and then click examples in the Ribbon on the left.

  • 10 HTML HR > WebHelp > limited to 10 per page of search results

    There is a problem with displaying more of 10 search results per page in IE9 webhelp.  I updated whform.js to show the 99 results per page as follows:

    var gnMaxRslt = 99;

    After turning to whform.js it shows 99 in the text box, but shows only 10 in the search results below .

    Can anyone suggest a solution?

    RH10, you need to edit the file whfhost.js and the whform.js file. Descend to the bottom of the whfhost.js file and change the following statement:

    var nMaxResult =

    for example

    var nMaxResult = 99

    Don't forget that every time you build the project files by default HR will be added. So I think that it is better to keep a copy of the modified files and copy them on the project and prior to publication.

    I hope this helps.

  • Can you add the checkbox to search results point at exit Responsive HTML5?

    The Webhelp output has a checkbox to highlight search results like this:

    Highlight search results CB.PNG

    But the release of Responsive HTML5 does not have this option despite highlighting the results:

    Highlight search results CB 2.PNG

    I don't see any way to add this in the page layout customization window:

    Highlight search results CB 3.PNG

    Is it possible to add a checkbox to disable the highlighting? We recently had to sensitive HTML5 and we have been asked how to disable highlighting.

    Thank you.

    I found a partial solution to this. I found that if you build the sensitive HTML5 output, you can edit the html code for the main subject under the research section. The checkbox code to highlight is there, but it is set to hidden. You can view it. The problem is while the box does not resemble the box "display results with all the words. You can work on some issues of style, if you get creative. It is nowhere near perfect, but we should be able to disable highlighting.

  • I use google search. When I click on a suggestion contained in the results tab of the search, I want it to open in a new tab and keep the search results in the original tab. How?

    For example, when I enter the search term "cabinets" and get a page/tab search results with suggestions such as Sears, JCPenney, or Amazon, I want to be able to click on Sears and open the Sears page in a new tab/page. I want to be able to close the tab to Sears and use the search results tab.

    Google offers a framework for this. What it does, it adds a HTML (target = "blank") statement to every result link, which causes Firefox to open in a new tab. If you uncheck the preference to divert new windows in new tabs, Firefox will then open the result in a new separate window.

    This preference is stored in a cookie, if you clear your Google cookies often, so you'll need to reset every time. You can do so here:

    https://www.Google.com/preferences

    (On this page, Google refers to a new window.)

    I deleted a folder containing .jpgs from off of my C drive... Yet the images still show upward when I search the drive for .jpgs... Why are they still displayed in the search results when the folder no longer exists. If I try to remove the pop up box shows that the folder does not exist and asks me if I want to create... No, if I wanted the pictures I have wouldn't have deleted. Now, they're just cluttering my search results... How can I get rid of them for good?

    Hello

    I suggest you to check once more and confirm if there was an increase in consumption of space of hard drive because of these duplicate files.

    If there is an increase in consumption of hard because of these duplicate files disk space, then the computer may have a virus infection. You can run a scan of MSS in safe mode with network.

    Advanced startup options (including safe mode): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    You can run the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

    Microsoft safety scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    Warning of Security Scanner: there could be a loss of data while performing an analysis using the Microsoft safety scanner to eliminate viruses as appropriate.

    In addition, if there is no infection of viruses on the computer so as mentioned previously, you could probably be referring to the recent lists is just shortcuts that will not cause a slowdown. If you open one of these saved searches, and delete the results, then you are probably trying to remove real files, no shortcuts.

    You can provide a screenshot so that we can better guide you.

  • Without scroll bars when search results are displayed in the "content" section

    Hello

    I use reactive HTML5 in 2015 of Robohelp.

    The Azure_Blue layout works very well, but when search results are set to appear in the 'content' section no scroll bar is displayed, if you can't navigate to the results of research which are off the screen. Scroll bars are displayed when its set to appear in the sidebar. Tried with many different browsers - same result.

    If you are looking for something (or product site search), click an item, and then use the back button of browser, you get the cache errors.

    [IE Windows]

    Page Web has expired

    The most likely cause:

    The local copy of this Web page is obsolete and the Web site requires that you download again.

    Something to try:

    Click the Refresh button in the toolbar to reload the page. After refreshing, you need to navigate to the Web page again, or re-enter information.

    The other encountered this problem? Is it because of how BC uses the browser's cache? is there a solution?

    Thank you

    Paul

    This is probably caused by the shoppingcartsummary module.

    Whenever you have it, this page will not be cached for obvious reasons, and working up the browser wants to redo the JOB and warns you

    Turn it off in the... search results page and use the liquid instead.

  • SEO - search result do not compare to the Muse website

    Hi guys

    Our industrial web site gets pretty good ORGANIC serps. However, the site has been designed in the folders containing html files and search results will offer a link something like this:

    www.mywebsite.com/Products/Blue-widgets.html - for the most part going as deep as the folders where Google found.

    However. I am now revisit the site of MUSE and want to keep the serps by keeping the same names of files as on the old site. MUSE does not use the hierarchy of files and folders, so while I can keep the same names, I can't remember the names of folders - which some go three or four folders deep. So even if the file names are the same, by clicking on the links in search results error page will because of the folder names is not not present in the MUSE.

    Outside redirection, anyone got any ideas?

    Thank you.

    You will want to search 301 redirects. Here is some information.

  • Can display us the names of Web site with direct link to URL in search results

    I don't see an option for the URL to display in the results of the research. This is the behavior of our users ask: If a URL (I have the link in a topic) appear in search results, the user can then click on the link to take them to this external site.

    There is no option to display URLS in the search results in the WebHelp or options for publication of HTML5. My users don't want to have to click on a link to bring back them to a matter of html and then click again on the URL to get to the external site. They want to be able to see the URL in the search results, click on and go immediately on the site.

    I even shot on external site to search but don't see anything in the results. Maybe I do not have this right. This has never been a problem before on any other project that I developed.

    Is that what I can do to give them what they want?

  • Click on search for result code doesn't display the line containing the search results

    I use the latest version of DreamweaverCC2014 on the latest version of Mac Mavericks. I use Dreamweavers find and replace to find code in an open html document. In the search results Panel results aren't clicking on me at the relevent code line in the document. It used to work well in the previous version of DW, I was using.

    In the DW help note it is said: ' display the results of a particular search in context: select window > results to display the search panel. " Double-click on a line in the search panel. If you are looking for the current file, the Document window displays the line containing that search result. ' http://helpx.adobe.com/Dreamweaver/using/Text.html#search_for_and_replace_text

    Double-click does not display the line containing the result of the search for me. It seems to work OK in my CSS files, but not in HTML longer (1010 lines).

    Any advice? Someone at - it the same problem? Thank you

    I have the same problem with all the HTML files that have external style sheets. for example .

    So it seems to be a bug around that. When you delete the above, double click functionality works.

  • Web App search results to display the TASK parallel library instead of the list view

    Is it possible to get the search results Web App to view a presentation BPD instead of the standard list view?

    If it is possible the call would go on the form or on the page of results? (currently, use the same results page for several web applications.

    Thank you!

    Not quite sure what your after.

    You can send the results of research to a custom page, I think you did that? This page can have its own model.

    The module itself for the search results:

    {module_webappsresults, bkp, resultsPerPage, hideEmptyMessage, rowLength, sort}

    They are key elements where bkp being true means that search results will use the backup of the web application on the main list.

    If you apply the rule of custom template by adding a space and a model = "PATHTOFILE", you can specify the search results to use a custom template.

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/business-catalyst/partner/using-custom-templates-modules.html

    None of this is what your after?

  • Show product images on search results page

    Hello

    I am just learning Dreamweaver and BC.

    The store I want to build MUST display product pictures on the page of search results.

    I used one of the standard models ('King of the device') to move things.  Its product search results page shows just a text list of results with no thumbnails of images.

    How to change the search results page to display an image for each outcome?

    Thank you!

    Not really what he asks Dave.

    IF you have a search site, then it will find the products and other pages but not show something else then a list of these results.

    IF you use the search for the real product, then this makes the list or the backup list layout for your products and you must ensure that they have the images in this.

    If you use a template and it is a product search then you should check to see if these aren't CSS hidden etc.
