HTML5 Video for OSX
My client needs a solution for video support HTML5 in Firefox OSX v30 browser. I followed http://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_video.asp that works on other browsers except Firefox OSX v30.
Is there a quicker way?
There is currently no support for H.264 for video on the Mac tag, so you have to encode a failover to a Flash drive.

It seems that YouTube provides no content in h264 or webm for this video. https://www.YouTube.com/embed/Q4iKJIiYRek breaks for me on any Firefox or chrome without Flash.

How to do HTML5 videos works again?
I've recently updated for Firefox 35 and now HTML5 videos will not work. I have NoScript, but disabling or removing it does not solve the problem. Switching in safe mode does not solve the problem. The problem is solved using a fresh profile or removing the prefs.js file, but this is not an option for me, as all my settings from scratch would be tedious hassle with that I wouldn't rather deal with restoration.
I know that the problem is with the update for Firefox 35 precisely because everything was working fine before and stopped working after. To be absolutely certain, I turned on my laptop that had the exact same extensions and settings imported to it from this computer with FEBE earlier. He used the 34.0.5 version and all was well with this version. I tested it with the site of the vine, all the videos worked. It also downloaded the update for Firefox 35 in the background and as soon as I restarted, the HTML5 videos were broken.
It's certainly something that Mozilla has changed but I forgot to change/remove an old framework which is scrub place works. If I could just figure out which lines in the prefs.js file was causing the problem, I would delete/change myself in Notepad.
For the record, I already had media.windows - media - foundation.enabled set to false. Videos that use Flash seem to work. I think Vimeo using HTML5, but it is the site of Flash videos not only that I could find that still works. Flash and Java have been updated the most recent versions.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
As I said, safe mode does not solve the problem. He is not one of my extensions. I tried to disable hardware acceleration earlier, but wasn't it no more.
Your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.
The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.It has only these two lines:
user_pref ("protocol - handler.warn - external .dnUpdate", false);
user_pref ("browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash", false);Sure they are related to the extension, so I don't touch them.
There the prefs of media who do not by default?
- Media.*. Enabled
As I said, media - media.windows - foundation.enabled is set to false and it was the only entry with this search term that was not established by default. I changed to true and restarted and it fixed everything. Funniest, however, do the opposite was a solution proven for people with this problem in the past. This site says to do. You have said to do! https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/961627
So, anyone read this for future use, you may or may not have changed this setting later in 2013. Firefox 35 requires you to change back. Problem solved.

Amazon HTML5 video player on Safari?
Today, I watched a video from Amazon in Safari 9.1.1 under El Capitan on my MacBook. Amazon played using Silverlight plug-ins, I had installed. However, a box came up that said the video would improve if I uses its HTML5 video player, that he says is compatible with Chrome (M42 version or newer), Firefox (version 47 or more recent), Edge Microsoft Internet Explorer (11 or newer on Windows 8.1 and later), on Windows 10 and Opera (version 31 or more recent).
Safari is remarkably absent from the list. Recent versions of Safari do not support HTML5?
Recent versions of Safari do not support HTML5?
Of course, it does. Amazon has chosen not to support Safari, for reasons known only to them.

Play HTML5 video with JavaScript does not hide the overlay dimming video
I googled this problem and found nothing useful and also checked the area of support here and still nothing. I'm creating a webpage with HTML5 video. I made a layer with the video object that is hidden with CSS, until the user clicks on a link. When the user clicks on the link, I use a JavaScript function to display and play the HTML5 video object. Works fine except that Firefox keeps the overlay in place play button while playing my video! If I click on the overlay, the video stops. Then if I click again, the overlay disappears and the video resumes playback.
I realize there are solutions that can be pirated. But it is certainly a bug that the rest overlay in place after the start of the video via a JavaScript command. I hope that this problem finds its way to the right people at Mozilla for resolution.
Thank you

I work for a video company, video encoding, the only problem we have is Firefox plays videos not encoded as H 264 (1080) greater than 2 GB, because they do not play. I tried the two latest version 9.0.1 in mac and windows and no change. In Internet Explorer, Chrome, the video plays well. Is there a file limit in Firefox? I read somewhere else that FF also has problems downloading files of 2 GB, do not know who is bound. Any help would be appreciated.
Firefox does even not play H264 content by default. For HTML5 video, it will play OGG / Theora and WebM, but a plugin is necessary for the H264 content.

Hello!
I have a html5 video that is great in all browsers, but there is no audio data in Firefox for Windows 3.6.25
Yes, I have updatet my server with the following MIME:AddType audio/ogg .oga
AddType video/ogg .ogv
AddType video/mp4 .mp4
AddType video/webm .webm
AddType text/plain .srtHelp, please! I need to I get just before Christmas...
Hei fmdeveloper!
I thought about it: you must download the .htaccess file in the folder where you placed your index file. The information contained in the .htaccess file are the following:AddType audio/ogg .oga
AddType video/ogg .ogv
AddType application/ogg OGGBUT: when you download the file .htaccess with a ftp software - you need to change your options for the ASCII Mode! DO NOT use binary Mode for download!

This is not my expectation. If anyone has experienced this before? How can I work around it? I tried * almost * all without success.

Problem with MusePen HTML5 Video - Widget
Hello dear community and great team of Adobe Muse,.
Some people have a problem, that they cannot see the background video of HTML5-Widget, which I use - some, too, can see.
I placed each videoformat inside (*.ogg, *.mp4, *.webm) and also placed an image of the poster to the loading screen.
The video is on auto run.
You know the problem and why is he here?
I really like using the MusePen Widget, because it's the only one, that I can fix it in position and things - also I can make invisible for mobile breakpoints, which does not work with the other HTML5 video-Widgets.
Here's the site I'm talking about: www.cmnt.it
Would be nice, if someone knows the problem and help me
Best regards, Felix
Have you tried to contact the developer of the widget directly for support? Not all widget developers watch these forums, so unless you're extremely lucky and find someone who had the same issue here it can be faster response by contacting the developer directly.

I seem to have some problems with most of the html5 and Muse video widgets. One of these widgets of Muse-themes, musepen, 123muse, QooQee do not load the videos and videos are not visible when you preview the site or after the publication of the site. This seems to be a new problem that I had no such problem in the past.
The video widget full width of Muse-themes doesn't seem to take herself. If I add a video widget from musepen on the same page, then to that of Muse-themes is load.
When I add my mp4 and my webm files, I get always an error message that the video can not be charged due to network issue or because the format is not supported, or it shows loading but never play in preview. I tried all browsers with the same result.
After hours of trying, I managed to somehow get the widget from mnusepen playing on all the browsers on your desktop (Mac). However, the video does not play on iPad (Safari or Chrome). Is just a blank page. Ditto for Chrome on Android phone.
Support of the muse tells me that they offer no support for these widgets, and they have no solution to the problem. I don't know what is happening and how to fix this problem. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
Here is the link to the test page:
Thank you.
Hello
After looking at the link provided by you, that I have observed that your video is set to auto-play and if you check out the links below then you would realize that android and iOS devices have some limitation with auto-lecture videos.

I advise you to avoid using the AutoPlay option in the phone and table of layouts for your site.
Let me know if you still face videos question of loading after removing the AutoPlay option.

Help? [html5 video plays on the side]
I added a html5 video to my Web page, using Dreamweaver, and he plays on the side! Can anyone help?
[Title edited for clarity... MOD]
[Ask in the correct forum allows... Left generic Cloud/Setup forum for forum specific program... MOD]
I presume this is Chrome or Firefox (not Safari) browser that is having a problem. A quick search on google for your job forum returned this relevant resulttitle. You don't know why you can't find a similar solution when you searched a keyword terms extracted from your job title of the forum on Google. Maybe because you don't look for? Next time try the search first.
Solution: record videos on your iPhone the correct way!
EDIT: my assumption was correct. Video is turned on the browsers non-Safari but displays fine on the modern version of the Safari. Follow the solutions provided earlier in this post to correct the problem.

problems with widgets drive html5 video
Hello
for 2 days now, I'm trying to get a video on my site of muse. I installed the widget html5 video of muse-themes and MULIB. When I add my mp4 and my files webm, I always get an error message that the video can not be charged because of network problems or because the format is not supported (it's the muse-themes widget), or it shows loading but never play in preview (i.e. with MULIB). Mp4 is a little less than 250 MB and the webm only about 90 MB of wholesale. Is - too big?
I already made contact with the guy from muse-themes, they sent me another mp4 and webm file to test and I got the same result, but when they try it, it works very well on their side.
Quick help is very appreciated, I really need to get that video out there.
Thank you

Why adobe flash plugin has crashed everytime I try to play Non-HTML5 videos?
Hello guys,.
My name is Hilmi, I'm having problems watching a non-html5 video as it will be always see the adobe flash plugin crash error whenever I try to play the video. I use a laptop Dell Inspiron 5400, adoble flash player 20 NPAPI mozilla firefox 43.0.1 and windows 7 SP1.
I found a discussion more similar to my problem and they gave instructions to disable hardware acceleration by right click on a flash image in the Web site: video of Flash Player playback issues, but the image flash itself could not load.
My system restore is not available because there is no restore point has been created. one of the site I have the problem of the video is http://www.gogoanime.com/dragon-ball-super-episode-24
kindly need help from you guys that I don't know what to do to solve this problem. I tried to uninstall/install flash player and update my firefox, but the error persists.
Thank you.
Protected mode Flash Player on Firefox 32 bit is an important defense against malware. You greatly increase your risk of infection by disabling.
You'd be much, much better of is either Firefox 64-bit for Windows, which includes a native NPAPI plugin sandbox (we use the Firefox sandbox instead of the one that we had to renovate Firefox 32 bit), or another browser.
You can find the beta of Firefox 64-bit here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/beta/all/

help please on HTML5 video basic
I have a website with lots of videos embedded using the plugin method. However, not google Chrome and Apple Safari don't play well.
I would like to know if there is a simple way to convert a page like this:
The links "look at the short video" to a simple page with a frame and integrated .mov video. Now it shows just a missing plugin icon.
I can easily edit this page? because I have a lot of similar.
Also:
I watched a few videos and they all show choose "HTML5 Video" of the common insert component. However, my component insertion does not include this even thought I use CS6! My list includes only the anchor link hyperlink e-mail etc. I even created a new empty HTML page and always the choice never understand HTML5 video.
So why does HTML5 video choice not appear in my component insertion/common?
Thanks for those who took the time to read this. If it is not quite obvious, my Dreamweaver skills are very basic.

These HTML5 options have been added in the clouds CS6. They were never part of the perpetual license version, that's why you don't have them.
