Amazon HTML5 video player on Safari?

Today, I watched a video from Amazon in Safari 9.1.1 under El Capitan on my MacBook. Amazon played using Silverlight plug-ins, I had installed. However, a box came up that said the video would improve if I uses its HTML5 video player, that he says is compatible with Chrome (M42 version or newer), Firefox (version 47 or more recent), Edge Microsoft Internet Explorer (11 or newer on Windows 8.1 and later), on Windows 10 and Opera (version 31 or more recent).

Safari is remarkably absent from the list. Recent versions of Safari do not support HTML5?

Recent versions of Safari do not support HTML5?

Of course, it does. Amazon has chosen not to support Safari, for reasons known only to them.

    I speak not of advertising videos.  It seems that there is a new trend that sites add the AutoPlay videos as part of their normal textual content.  It's really annoying to try to read the article and have this semi-connexes video game.

  • OTP-S390 - issues with Amazon instant video bonus?

    For 2 weeks now, I think that after the update to the newest firmware, I have massive problems play via the video player Sony Bluray with Amazon premium instant stuff.

    I did some troubleshooting and I came to the conclusion that it is either the cable going to the focus in my cable modem or the drive itself.

    I can read the same videos very well without any problems on my computer on the same internet connection which provides the connectivity of Bluray player.

    The real problem is I'll watch a show, in this case, Fringe season 2 in HD - and it stops just at random play. I can stop and start from where I left and it will either work or it won't. But I can go right to my PC and launch an episode and watch it completely thorugh without problem.

    It's going to be a fix for this anytime soon? Is anyone else having problems?

    Hi Chris,

    Welcome to the community of Sony!

    Make sure that this latest firmware update has been installed in the Blu - ray player, because it can improve the performance of the Internet functions. You can find information about the last update of firmware in the Sub page:

    http://eSupport.Sony.com/us/p/SWU-download.pl?MDL=BDPS390&upd_id=7741&os_group_id=6

    Also, try the steps on the below technical support article:
    https://us.en.KB.Sony.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/33377

    In addition, this problem has been reported to occur with certain movies from Amazon Video on demand (VOD) that are more than 202 minutes in length. Movies stop playback after 202 minutes. According to Amazon, the problem is caused by the way that video content is encoded. Amazon is being contained affected re-encoding.

    If the problem persists, try to remove the link and reprint of the Amazon of the Blu - ray player links. Steps are mentioned on the technical support article below:

    https://us.en.KB.Sony.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/32177

  • How to stop video autoplay in safari 9.0?

    When I visit some Web sites such as CNN, video automatically starts playing whenever the page is loaded. I tried to disable the flash and silverlight, but that did not stop the AutoPlay.  Any guidance is appreciated.

    I think it is the same thing as Yosemite found here: link to this post

    For OS X Yosemite 10.10 set the following in the Safari preferences:

    1. on the Advanced tab, set "Stop plug-ins to save energy.

    2. on the Security tab, set "allow the Plug-ins" by Internet Plug-ins and then click on «Site settings Web...» "for her.

    3. find the media type you want to stop auto play in the left columns.

    Most non Flash videos (mp4/h264/HTML5 video) will be 'QuickTime '.

    4. the value "when visiting other Web sites" Ask to click to start or block for disabling permanent.

    5. click on 'done '.

    Safari will play the video (s) on a page for a short period before stopping to save energy and the noise will stop.

    By clicking on the play button video will start the video and the audio again for viewing whenever you want.

  • Embed the video player in WebView - Fullscreen problems

    I'm at the point where I have to integrate a 3rd party html5 web player.

    I created a view of web pages containing the video player embedded in an iFrame. I have also the app resize the display orientation of the device-based Web.

    The problem is with the button full screen set up in the video player. Pressed, she calls a video player fullscreen BB10. This works well until the orientation of the device is changed. The full screen video not to back the new dimensions of the screen, and after leaving full-screen, the webview dimensions are incorrect.

    What is called when the button fullscreen is pushed? Where can I get and edit the metadata for the fullscreen player? Be able to address this issue is absolutely crucial to be able to finish my application, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

    I've done an investigation more, and it appears as if it is actually a bug in the operating system. I have loaded a developer version of 10.3.1 on my Z10, and media player automatically adapts to the direction correctly.

  • Problem of HTML5 video

    Hey guys I have a problem with HTML5 video. If the video is set to autorun, it is in its very well designated area. However, if it is not set to auto-run and I have trigger play via JavaScript, it opens the video fullscreen.

    This is not my expectation. If anyone has experienced this before? How can I work around it? I tried * almost * all without success.

    Thank you.

    Device: BlackBerry Dev Alpha 10 B

    OS: 10.0.9.1675

    In short,

    video = document.getElementById("player");
    document.querySelector('#play').addEventListener('click', function () {
        if (video.currentTime === 0) {
            video.currentTime = 5;
        }
        video.play();
    }, false);

    An official flag in order to prevent the full-screen has been requested, but I hope that does the trick for now.

  • HTML5 video widgets does not

    I seem to have some problems with most of the html5 and Muse video widgets. One of these widgets of Muse-themes, musepen, 123muse, QooQee do not load the videos and videos are not visible when you preview the site or after the publication of the site. This seems to be a new problem that I had no such problem in the past.

    The video widget full width of Muse-themes doesn't seem to take herself. If I add a video widget from musepen on the same page, then to that of Muse-themes is load.

    When I add my mp4 and my webm files, I get always an error message that the video can not be charged due to network issue or because the format is not supported, or it shows loading but never play in preview. I tried all browsers with the same result.

    After hours of trying, I managed to somehow get the widget from mnusepen playing on all the browsers on your desktop (Mac). However, the video does not play on iPad (Safari or Chrome). Is just a blank page. Ditto for Chrome on Android phone.

    Support of the muse tells me that they offer no support for these widgets, and they have no solution to the problem. I don't know what is happening and how to fix this problem. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

  • Help? [html5 video plays on the side]

    I added a html5 video to my Web page, using Dreamweaver, and he plays on the side! Can anyone help?

    I presume this is Chrome or Firefox (not Safari) browser that is having a problem. A quick search on google for your job forum returned this relevant resulttitle. You don't know why you can't find a similar solution when you searched a keyword terms extracted from your job title of the forum on Google. Maybe because you don't look for? Next time try the search first.

    Solution: record videos on your iPhone the correct way!

    EDIT: my assumption was correct. Video is turned on the browsers non-Safari but displays fine on the modern version of the Safari. Follow the solutions provided earlier in this post to correct the problem.

  • Why adobe flash plugin has crashed everytime I try to play Non-HTML5 videos?

    Hello guys,.

    My name is Hilmi, I'm having problems watching a non-html5 video as it will be always see the adobe flash plugin crash error whenever I try to play the video. I use a laptop Dell Inspiron 5400, adoble flash player 20 NPAPI mozilla firefox 43.0.1 and windows 7 SP1.

    I found a discussion more similar to my problem and they gave instructions to disable hardware acceleration by right click on a flash image in the Web site: video of Flash Player playback issues, but the image flash itself could not load.

    My system restore is not available because there is no restore point has been created. one of the site I have the problem of the video is http://www.gogoanime.com/dragon-ball-super-episode-24

    kindly need help from you guys that I don't know what to do to solve this problem. I tried to uninstall/install flash player and update my firefox, but the error persists.

    Thank you.

    Protected mode Flash Player on Firefox 32 bit is an important defense against malware.  You greatly increase your risk of infection by disabling.

    You'd be much, much better of is either Firefox 64-bit for Windows, which includes a native NPAPI plugin sandbox (we use the Firefox sandbox instead of the one that we had to renovate Firefox 32 bit), or another browser.

    You can find the beta of Firefox 64-bit here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/beta/all/

  • help please on HTML5 video basic

    I have a website with lots of videos embedded using the plugin method. However, not google Chrome and Apple Safari don't play well.

    I would like to know if there is a simple way to convert a page like this:

    Holiday travel HD high-definition Canon HF G10 of video of big island of hawaii Keith Waddo Waddington

    The links "look at the short video" to a simple page with a frame and integrated .mov video. Now it shows just a missing plugin icon.

    I can easily edit this page? because I have a lot of similar.

    Also:

    I watched a few videos and they all show choose "HTML5 Video" of the common insert component. However, my component insertion does not include this even thought I use CS6! My list includes only the anchor link hyperlink e-mail etc. I even created a new empty HTML page and always the choice never understand HTML5 video.

    So why does HTML5 video choice not appear in my component insertion/common?

    Thanks for those who took the time to read this. If it is not quite obvious, my Dreamweaver skills are very basic.

    Waddo

    www.waddo.NET

    These HTML5 options have been added in the clouds CS6. They were never part of the perpetual license version, that's why you don't have them.

    To use html5

    You will need at least 2 versions of each video to cover all modern browsers, .mp4 and .ogg or .webm. You can use this online converter for the file types you need: online video converter

  • I need a video player Flash or HTML module, but none will install the component library plug-in Firefox software.

    I'm looking for a video player module Flash or HTML5, so I can watch Youtube and other videos in Firefox 51.0 Beta. But all the Add on Flash or HTML5 players in the library of add-on Firefox will download but refuse to install because none are compatible with the latest version of Firefox.

    I have instructions to download and install a 6.0.1 Android flash player compatible of Marshmallow directly from Adobe's Web site. But there are two 6.0.1 compatible Android files on the site names, and I don't know which one to use.

    Should I download and install the Flash player with the highest file alphanumeric name, assuming that it is the most recent version, or should I wait until I can get a definitive answer from Adobe?

    Oh, and happy Thanksgiving!

    My Firefox 51.0 b 1 Beta on Android plays video clips from YouTube in HTML without the need for any add-on.

    Office Firefox is similar to be able to play video content from YouTube HTML5.

    Try your Firefox as is, Happy Thanksgiving.
