Huge LOV, how to improve load times?

Hello
I have a lov that returns 300 k from an indexed table, but it blocks on the screen for about 30 seconds, when I call SHOW_LOV. I can't use the Filter for this LOV property.

The request of the record group is:
SELECT COL1, COL2, COL3
FROM TABLE1 WHERE COL4 = 1

Is it possible to do this very fast lov?

Version of DB and forms is 10g

reports 300 k? Well...
As they most certainly will use the integrated search function it might be an option to rebuild this function outside of the LOV. provide research fields where they can spend the searchstring before open the LOV and change the query according to it.
I know that it is an ugly workaround, but at least it will result in a slightly smaller LOV {noformat}) {noformat}

see you soon

I use LR 6.5 on a PC with these stats:

I use a laptop now instead of my old office and the loading time is very slow.  Is the speed of loading photo (in the Panel of a development library) led by the hardware I use or is there something I can do in LR that accelerate?  I really hope that I can speed up since I was 4 000 pictures to review on my last trip.

    Thanks for your help.

    RR

If you have enabled the graphics acceleration, turn the power off (preferences-> Performance tab-> clear the check box)

Opening a file to develop speed is mainly driven by the CPU. By today's standards, your processor is pretty slow. You would probably get a faster processor

It comes to this page: http://www.barronstudio.nl/hoogstraat-2-bergen-op-zoom.html

    Hello CreativeBarron,

I checked your site at my end and observed that you used several large images in Muse that contributes to the load time. Please look at the screenshot below.

By reducing the size of these images, you can certainly reduce the loading time of the site.

  • How to speed up site load times?

Can someone tell me how to speed up site load times?

I know that the affects of size of image loading time... more tips?

If you could take a look at my site and tell me how bad it is that would be great!

    www.ligacreative.com

    (1) do not use GIF images. The only time where .gif must always be used would be for small moving images (which, IMO, is a questionable practice 'design'). Muse won't touch a GIF image. It will be passed through. Image http://www.ligacreative.com/images/ieva-lc.gif your site into an image of 35 million pixels (HUGE). It is the only represent 4 seconds to download on the connection time average US broadband. Convert to PNG or JPEG, and replace the image within the Muse and Muse will be resize and recompress the image to the output of a small fraction of its current size of file.

    (2) use JPG of an image that is photographic in nature.

    (3) use the PNG for images that are generated by computer (i.e. images with hard edges or areas of color United, where the JPEG compression is likely to put objects in the image). If you have this type of images, deselect "Convert PNG" opaque in JPEG in the properties of the Site.

    (4) use the PNG for images that contain areas totally or partially transparent (as JPEG doesn't support transparency).

    (5) avoid having transparency in photographic images when possible. If you can cook the background color in the image, do. An opaque image can be JPEG. If there is no transparency in the image, it should be PNG (or GIF). For a photographic image PNG is about 5 times more grand and so 5 times longer to download than a comparable JPEG.

    (6) to resize the images as images of background fill for browser filling, fill the page or fill to an object of width 100% browser before importing. Muse does not automatically resize these images, then you must decide what your site maximum screen width Web will be targeting and resize these images outside Muse prior to importation.

    Hello

The page/site seems to load very well at the moment.

However if want to inspect what could slow down the loading of your page I recommend using 'firebug' and select the 'network' tab to follow every chronology file loading.  Then you can see which file takes more time to load to help make adjustments accordingly.

  • improve the load time, or view the progress of the loading iOS app?

    Hello

I have a 75 file ipa meg that takes about 30 seconds to load. Is it possible to improve the loading time or to show the progress of the load somehow?

I am compiling with air 3.1

I build my project with Flash Professional 5.5

OK, I have an update that can be useful to others. This is probably common sense for many of you already... Here is my solution:

1 table Push statements are very expensive CPU. Eliminate the 1500 of these shaved eight seconds off my boot time

    2. no device font text is expensive to load. Remove all my text vector and its replacement by bitmaps saved 10 seconds of boot time. This meant a major term in my program, but there are benefits to exercise more than the beginning of time.

    3. Turning off the coast of the compilation and the CFC option saved 5 seconds of loading time. Normally I would have this on so I can get better indicators of code inside Flash Builder. But in the last step, turning off saves a lot of startup time. I discovered this because I have a full and a lite version of my application (lite version had the swc compile option off, was much faster as the full version which had the SWC to compile on). For a few hours a day, I tried to understand why the lite version has been commissioning of 5 seconds faster that the full version even if the lite version had more assets.

    Start-up time full version:

    version 1.3:

    25.6 seconds

    version 1.4:

    2.5 seconds

  • How to improve the rendering time on MacBook Air

    Hi all

    Processor: Intel Core i7-4650U @ 1.70 GHz, 2.30 GHz
Installed memory (RAM live): 8.00 GB
System type: 64-bit, x 64 processor operating system
Operating system: 8.1 Enterprise, 64-bit Windows (boot to the Windows partition with bootcamp, work is not as a virtual machine)

Any ideas how to improve the rendering performance of a YouTube video that I created. I realize that the rendering is not ideal on a MacBook Air, however, there are free of RAM and CPU capacity according to the directives of the screenshot:

    Adobe Media Encoder v2.png

For example, I put that he should leave 1.5 GB of RAM for other programs, but there are still 3 GB free.

(FYI at 01:24 popped it up to 100% of the CPU)

    Any help much appreciated.

    Kind regards

This isn't a very powerful machine.  It is probably not much to do.

  • Advice needed on speeding up load times.

I need some tips on how I can speed up the load time on a page of my site. This page: http://www.thinksmartresumes.com.au/%2499-designs.html

I know there are hundreds of localized factors, including the Internet, but many people have now pointed out that this page take more than 30 seconds to load. I know it's a great page with a lot of png and the links. What can I do to speed things up?

Any advice welcome outside to split the page (which are not an option). I can't read the code btw.

    Congratulations to all.

Now we need 6.2 MB to download the content and 5.8 for the images.

If the performance is improved with the resizing of the images.

  • Want 5660: How can I load paper 5 x 7 to 5660 want?

5 x 7 is mentioned in the user manual as one of photo papers suggested.  I bought some, now how I load into the 5660, please?  The photo tray seems to accept only 4 x 6.  Worked great with the paper of the sample that came w/printer.

    Hi @byronw,

I'd love to help you load paper 5 x 7 in your printer Envy 5660. 5 x 7 is considered more paper, that being said, please, look at what I found in the Manual (p. 11) that I thought would help:

    To load small-size paper

    1. remove the photo tray. If you don't see the photo tray, remove the output tray on the printer.

    2. load paper.

    ● Insert a stack of photo paper into the print photo tray to the bottom side.

    ● slide the photo paper until it stops.

3 push the photo tray in.

    4. change or keep on the screen of the printer paper settings.

    To load paper large format

    1. remove paper tray, slide the guides to the width of the paper to the outside and then remove any previously loaded media.

    2. load paper.

    ● Insert a stack of paper into the paper tray with the short edge forward and the print down side.

    ● Slide the paper forward until it stops.

    ● Slide the width guides of the paper inward to the stop on the edges of the paper.

3 push the paper tray in.

    4. change or keep on the screen of the printer paper settings

I hope this helps. If you need assistance please do not hesitate to let me know!

  • files and folders: How can I load all my files and folders to my new account of my external hard drive?

Who can help, I just put a new account on my computer and deleted the old account. I backed up the old files on my external hard drive. I want to know is how can I load all my files and folders to my new account of my external hard drive? I thank you for your time and knowledge have a very nice evening, Shawn

Because it's a new account (even if with the same name), the restore procedure is unable to put files and folders in the same place, they came (because this place technically no longer - if yes, then the process is done and the transfer is complete). It can create a set of separate files (maybe even under a new user name, if it has been stored in this way).  If so, all you need to do is copy the data as you would copy any other files and folders (not the main files of the user profile themselves but the data in them) on the new files in your user account and who will take care of the transfer. Here is more information about the restore procedure which may help you in the process.

Here is an article on the restore procedure:http://www.vista4beginners.com/How-to-restore-files to make sure you do this right.  It's a selective restore of a full or selective backup (not a full restore from a full backup) - but since you did a full backup, it matches your process more closely than would a full restore.

This is a GREAT article on the backup and restore processes in Vista http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2007.09.backup.aspx , but he won't go into detail about the restoration process - considering almost as easy, of course.  But it teaches you a lot about what is possible and how to do it.  It also focuses primarily on the full backup process, but he did mention the full backup and restore process as well.

Here is an article on the advanced use of restoration (during normal restore does not work):http://www.mayankraichura.com/post/2009/08/06/Avdvanced-Restore-via-Windows-Vista-Backup-and-Restore-Center.aspx.

I also found the following (but don't know if it of true or not):

    1. after the start of "backup and Restore Center."

    2. I chose "Advanced Restore"

    3. I was did not an administrator password... maybe because my account is an administrator account.

4 choose "files from a backup made on a different computer.

    5. in the dialog box indicating "Select the location of the backup to restore", select "hard drive, CD or DVD...". »

    6. under the drop-down list box, select your drive/partition and continue

    7. If all the backups on your drive, it will show a list of them.

    8. in my case, he showed a backup, but in the backup location, it will show "backup location is not available."

    9. I was frustrated, but then I somehow just select this backup (Yes... even if he said that thebackup location is not available " ")

    10. and you press "next".

    11 guess what... no error!

    12. a window appeared asking me if I wanted to do a full restore, or I want to select specific folders or files.

    13. I selected the folders I wanted to restore and bingo... it their restored smoothly.

    14. so that the next time see a mistake, try to continue with him... ;)

I don't know if this will help, but it does not provide much information about the process (when it works).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How to choose the time of search results by bing

I love how bing works. But when I want to, say, find some sales figures for February 2013, and I want to choose the results of some period of time (like "for the last month, or last week"), I can't do it. Google has this feature, and I want to know if Bing has it. and if so, how do I activate it?

    Thank you

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand from the information provided, that you must support time-out feature where you should be able to search for specific time period results.

As this question is related to Bing, you can display the query in the following link.
