  in place of the image files EPS PhotoShop, InDesign is able to calculate the effective PPI.

  Not in the links Panel, but with its preflight feature.

  

  Here is an example for some parameters with a preflight profile.

  Note: The values are examples. Insert values that correspond to your needs.

  

  Set your minimum values high enough and you will be reported on each value effective ppi for every PhotoShop image placed in your document.

  In my view, an expected behavior would be to calculate the effective ppi for PhotoShop EPS images in the links Panel.

  Like preflight display, it can be done.

  Hi all

  I'm under Indesign CS6 in Windows 7. Lately, when the program opens, I get the error pop up: "the program can't start because Core Foundation_v11.dll is missing on your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem"when I click OK, the program continues to load as usual, with nothing going wrong that I can see. I would like to get rid of the error message though. I tried to reinstall and looking for problems with multiple antivirus and anti-malware programs, all in vain (no sign of any viruses or malware). Does anyone have a suggestion on how to restore the missing file? Thanks much for any help.

  I tried to install a free trial of Extensis Suitcase last week, but for some reason any it is impossible to install. This is after I started noticing the error, but because the suitcase was not to load the two events not connect! After reading the above thread involving the suitcase, I looked in the InDesign plug-ins folder and, Lo and behold, a folder called Activation of fonts with Extensis files! I moved their and the error message was gone!

  I have the CS6 adobe creative suite installed on my computer and use almost every day. A few months ago, I bought a subscription monthly to InDesign CC and used for a few months before disabling it. Then, I continued to use my InDesign CS6 without any problem. Today my InDesign CS6 froze on me after that I saved a PDF of my file, so I force quit the program. Now, whenever I try to restart InDesign CS6, Adobe Application Manager appears and tells me that I need to renew my subscription to Creative cloud be able to use it! Very frustrating. All my other programs CS6 open for myself, it's just the InDesign that I have problems with. I use a Mac. How can I stop this happens so that I can return to reuse as usual my InDesign CS6? Thank you!

  I see that your Adobe Id is associated with an expired / suspended Design CC subscription.

  If you have CC desktop app installed please uninstall and uninstall Indesign CC as well. and then try to use Indesign cs6. It may ask you to click on license this software and ask for serial key that you can use to activate it.

  I use InDesign CS6 on Windows 7, 64-bit.

  I worked in InDesign market for three years and have never experienced this problem before. I always placed images in InDesign without problem and now I have this * one * image that won't be not place correctly, after having placed the two images in the same way.

  The original image (JPEG) was opened in Photoshop CS6. I removed the bottom. Changed to CMYK. Registered as. TIFF, preserved as a transparency. Then placed in InDesign.

  I can't see the image. It prints that way, too.

  I tried other images, they are all very good. I always put TIFF without problem, so I'm really confused here.

  I tried placing it as one. PSD. EPS and. TIFF and nothing works. The other two images to the left of that weird were placed in the same way with no problems.

  Any ideas?

  Looks like a problem with clipping for me path. Try tuning it out of the object > Clipping Path > Options...

  Yes, you need to uninstall Adobe Creative cloud only, if you are unable to uninstall creative cloud through the tool cleaner and error message you shared above.

  I uninstalled InDesign CS6 using commercial Adobe and now I can't understand how to reinstall. I've done it before, but I can't remember how it's done... help please?

  Reason for uninstall: the program would not allow me to create new documents. If I opened InD by opening another document, and then close the document, or open InD without another document, the program wouldn't let me click on the type of document, I wanted to (options are document / book / online, I think). Problem persisted after force - quit, restart the application, restart the computer, etc..

• Button in Indesign CS6 problems

  Let me preface this by saying that I am almost totally unaware of DPS.

  I have problems with buttons in Indesign CS6. They refuse at a time:

  • stay hidden until the outbreak

  • hide the trigger

  For example, 1 button will change to hide the trigger and display button 2 on the trigger. 2 button is set to remain hidden until this that triggered, hides the trigger and show the button 1 on the trigger.

  Buttons do not work in DPS same mode of action as PDF. More specifically, the action show/hide buttons is not supported. There are solutions to show/hide that involve combining buttons multi-state objects, even if the multi-state object is invisible. • How to anchor the floating tools palette in InDesign CS6 for Mac? Normal way does not work

  In all my applications except InDesign CS6 (Mac) CS, I can anchor the Tools window alongside the main components content as any other window: drag it to the edge and just timely, it highlights where it will be anchored with a blue outline and docks when let you go.

  I can't find a way to do this in InDesign CS6 (Version 8.0, Mac), however. Unlike all the other windows, it never offers the possibility to berth, regardless of where I hang out. I also looked in Preferences > Interface and the only options refer to the "floating toolbar" and give the same vertical line, two lines and a horizontal line options as the tool bar itself.

  Its a strange bug, but I found a work around.
  If anchor you another pallet (info, layers etc...) to the left, you can anchor the toolbar on the left of this palette. You can then detach the pallet and the toolbar will remain anchored.

  I'm under InDesign CS6 8.0.1 on a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.8.2

  Whenever I double click a paragraph style to try to change it, InDesign freezes and won't let me leave. When I try to quit smoking by using the menu in now and clicking on the InDesign icon in my dock I get error message saying that "cannot handle request a dialogue model or alert is inactive.» Then I have to force quit. On the revival of demand all my personal creative return to default values (space, typography, etc.)

  The error seems to indicate that the edit style dialog box is open, but not visible. Try closing or relocation of some windows, if you can.

• Khmer Script Justification in InDesign CS6 broken

  One of the best features of InDesign for me personally it was his ability to justify properly script Khmer (Cambodian). I used InDesign CS5.5 for awhile and have never had a problem (using the script here: http://www.thomasphinney.com/2009/01/adobe-world-ready-composer/ to the composer in the world).

  A few days ago that I upgraded to InDesign CS6 due to the characteristics of the e-book, but to my dismay, InDesign CS6 is no longer justifies Khmer script correctly, but words the text page integer (and even shoots text outside the margin).

  Anyone can shed some light on this? Did I miss any preference or something that needs to be enabled?

  Reported problems with Illustrator but CS6 is not longer supported by Adobe and was not compatible with the Mavericks and after according to Adobe. Apple does not solve the problem if you run into something, and adobe has no software open source so that others could provide a patch. I'm agree with your position not to be bullied into buying a subscription for the software with my humble OPINION less than stellar customer service I need to contact once a week, it was the decision of the Adobes.
