  It's an odd question since this machine with this operating system is REALLY REALLY REALLY old. If you do not want to use a printer of opportunity then I suggest to H.P. older deskjet series (e.g. 870 C or 870Cxi] I had a few years ago, the 800 series with a parallel port on a Tecra 8100 with then first and went from Windows 98 to Windows 2000. It works perfectly under the two systems.

  Vista drivers are available on the site Web of Lexmarks the link above, to download.

  Go to the website above > drivers and downloads tab at the top > and follow the Options with your model number >

  Download/save the drivers compatible Vista on your desktop > uninstall/reinstall your printer according to the instructions of Lexmark.

  If you still have problems, contact Lexmark, as they are the ones who write drivers for the printer, not Microsoft.

  What I do is look on ebay to see what will be the price of the cartridges.  See if there are several people who sell re-manufactured cartridges.  They are usually 1/2 the price of the new cartridges.

  I did have much luck charging HP cartridges in my laundry room.  It is without doubt a secret handshake I know not [an application that you run to reset the cartridge].  I watched e HP ENVY 5664 all-in-one on ebay.  Many people are selling re-manufactured cartridges.  You don't know when you try.

  HP as a reliable company for me. I go with canon because I had more chance to reload cartridges.

  My HP Photosmart Plus B209a reports a phantom paper jam and I forgot to fix that.   If I replace this machine I want to use my big stock of 364 genuine cartridges, then should what active printer I buy?  Help please.

  I see you have a problem with a false paper jam in the printer Photosmart Plus B209a all-in-one. I can help you with that.

  To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done, this document explains How to solve paper jam errors on your printer.

  If after following the above, you cannot clear the jam, the printer will need to be replaced. You can contact the HP Support by clicking this link and fill out the form below to see what are the options available to them. When you do so, they should be able to offer a model that uses the same cartridges, or they may be able to swap cartridges for you.

• What printer to my iMac?

  It frustrates me because I have always used Canon inject printers, mainly because of their great ink savings, but the last two, I bought were desperately few reliable. It lasted me about 18 months and this most recent one on 6. Unfortunately I lost the receipt so will have to buy another one of my curries the or Argos, but if I get more evil, I will buy only a cheap as 2450 MG, make sure I keep the receipt and change as and when.

  In both cases is the same as the paper refused to cross when ordered and the printer was to show that he was stuck and yet close inspection showed nothing was stuck at all, since a few weeks permeable, they had all two because of the strange noises and one or two crumpled documents. The first gun I had was great and lasted me several years but was more consistent. These two have been terrible. Its frustrating because I don't use it often. Could a monochrome laser option be better (I don't really need to color), if that one? Thank you

  I have two HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 printer/scanner.

  Cost a little more cheap printers I had in the past (for the most part, Epson and Canon), but they work very well, as do the scanners. More reliable than anything that I had over the past 30 years, printers.

  The only problem I had is I tried to print photos on very heavy paper and would not feed.

  I have also learned that generic ink cheap is not a good idea, either, and I buy HP ink on sale when I can find it.

  just got a hp7520 as a gift. updated from xp to 7. If the printer goes into sleep mode, the computer shuts down.  currently I'm keeping the printer in demo mode so that it does not expire.  Anyone know how I can use printer without him turning off the computer in normal mode?  I talked about Noone has even heard of that happening.  I hope someone can help.   My stomach says mt that perhaps you have the printer USB cable connected to a USB 3.0 port on your computer instead of a 2.0 port. The image below is some examples of 3.0 ports.

  

  3.0 ports are supposed to be backwards compatible, but I've seen questions arise.

  I wonder if the cable you are using is the computer and causing problems pulling power. All I can do at this stage is to assume and to gather information. Please post back with the answers to the following questions;

  1. You have a USB connection
  2. If the USB is connected, you use a 2.0 port or 3.0?
  3. Again, if you use a USB connection type, have you tried another USB cable? It could be a cable problem.
  4. You put XP or you remove XP and install Windows 7?
  5. You have your printer connected directly to a power outlet, or you are using a power strip/bar, or a surge protector?
  6. Now this may sound silly, but you have a timer on your computer, such as the hibernate after so many minutes and maybe the computer and the printer are set at the same, it is possible the moment closures / sleep coincide.

  Please consider this printer will print for most of a mobile device, and printed documents must be printed on A3 paper most of the time as the customer which I hope to buy the printer has difficulties with small reading text.
