  We intend to install the Version Hyperion 11.1.2.2 in the middle of the distribution. (windows 2008 64 bit, SQL Server)
  In the installation we have options like
  1 embedded weblogic
  2 oracle HTTP Server
  3 IIS
  In this regard, which is better for the web server. ?
  
  We plan to install Essbase, Planning, EPMA, FDM, Reporting, smartview, ODI in 3 servers.
  so, please suggest that components that are able to deploy in each machine between different servers?

  Personally, I feel THAT OSH is overall the best and the most common http server in the list to be deployed if everyone has there own opinions and reasons for choosing other options.

• Hyperion Essbase 11.1.2 Installation... Question

  I just installed Hyperion EPMA 11.1.2; by mistake I installed two separate instances on my VM ware. I need to install only Essbase and its component.
  
  C:\Hyperion\EPMSystem11R1
  C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1
  
  When I tried to launch my Essbase server, it just appears and goes. I don't know what the reason, if someone help me out on this and gives me the right path for 11.1.2 Installation I would really appreciate it.
  
  We are using windows server 2003.
  Do I have to remove an instance of system?

  You say you installed and uninstalled then installed in a different directory, if so you should be able to remove the old installation directory.
  How do you start essbase, where to go? have you tried to start the Oracle process Manager service.

  Hi all, I installed correctly hyperion 11.1.1.3, while configuration I've set up the Foundation first services and workspace, configuration of database and web server configuration has been done correctly register bt SS failed then I've reconfigured workspace again it gives same problem. Please suggest. Thank you

  Personally I reinstall and set it up again, when you configure simply configure shared Services, then make sure that it works before moving, everything you need to know should be in http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/epm_install_11114/frameset.htm?launch.html

• Question about user installation

  Customer IS group prepares for the installation of 11.1.2.1 on Linux. The database server is on a different area. My question is, what the user should be created to install MCP on the Linux machine? I ask because I remember reading something about various considerations related to the user that installs the user vs who installs GPE, but do not remember clearly what who or where I read it. Should the user be orcl? (However, it would be technically another user from the database server is a different Club altogether). Can we create any user? What is the relationship between the user who installs Hyperion and the user that installs other components such as database on other boxes. If someone could answer my question or direct me to the corresponding part in the documentation, it would be great. Thank you.

  I want to install the Hyperion EPM 11.1.2.1 on Windows 2003 (64-bit) services of the Foundation with HFM. I downloaded the following
  
  Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Installer, Fusion version for Microsoft Windows (64-bit) 11.1.2.1.0 - V25495-01
  
  Oracle Hyperion Foundation Services version 11.1.2.1.0 for Microsoft Windows (64-bit) all 7 parts
  
  Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, Fusion version 11.1.2.1.0 - V25476-01
  
  
  But once I'm in the V25495-01 installTools.cmd, I get the error message base main assemblies missing folder. Please help how to merge or create the installation for this installation image. If I'm missing some software/binary, please let me know the part number to download.

  If please download the additional contenets file and unzip it in the same folder.
  In addition, please make sure that your path to the Setup file is not any space in it.

  I would like to know how can I know what latest patch I should go for (9.3.1, planning, SS, Essbase, Hyperion) or what should be the approach? I need to migrate servers from Hyperion and will install and configuration of the component of Hyperion.
  
  Secondly, I know installation, config. backup and migration, but what test must run on windows 2003 R2 (I mean, do I need something like IIS for planning and I do not think that there is no need to do with the environment variable because it must create automatically at the time of the installation or can I use an existing environmental variable to create the new server.)

  You only need IIS if you want EPMA, FDM, HFM...
  If this is a new installation, then it will create all environmental variables.

• Various folders under \\root\Hyperion a problem?

  Our administration system created folders for the source files for our DTS Packages/Calc Scripts etc and placed it under the \\root\Hyperion Essbase 9.3.1 installation directory.
  
  This event or cause a problem down the line if we had to delete/uninstall or anything else?
  Ideally, I would have preferred the source files for DTS packages that will be located in a separate folder, to avoid confusion in the installation directory.

  Do echo John, I saw a "scripts" under HYPERION_HOME directory - these are start/stop ordered in VBScript scripts. No problem whatsoever.

  We downloaded EMP 11.1.2.1 support software of Oracle for Linux 64 bit Version

  In this Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Installer folder doesn t contains Assemblies folder. We need to create Assemblies folder and copy the remaining parts of the Assemblies folder. Please notify.

  The installation package does not have a directory of assemblies, just extract the package in the same location as the other packages.

• Member of form data to a business rule

  Hello
  I have a problem with a data form. I have 3 real columns, Budget, estimate on this form and users can enter data in the scenario of the estimate. Since I have many scenarios to estimate I use a variable user planning. The business rule that is associated with this form has a variable RTP for the scenario, but with the user as a column variable, I can't hide the RTP.
  Is it possible to change the value of the user variable to my business without prompt rule?
  Any other suggestions?

  Are you sure ran at all business rule? There is an extra business composite formatting rule where you have to activate the business rule, have you checked this setting?
  As to hide the form, try masking of rows and columns of the form.
