Server HTTP Oracle Hyperion 11.1.2.2 installation
Hi allWe intend to install the Version Hyperion 11.1.2.2 in the middle of the distribution. (windows 2008 64 bit, SQL Server)
In the installation we have options like
1 embedded weblogic
2 oracle HTTP Server
3 IIS
In this regard, which is better for the web server. ?
We plan to install Essbase, Planning, EPMA, FDM, Reporting, smartview, ODI in 3 servers.
so, please suggest that components that are able to deploy in each machine between different servers?
Thank you
Mady
Personally, I feel THAT OSH is overall the best and the most common http server in the list to be deployed if everyone has there own opinions and reasons for choosing other options.

Planning for SQL server and Oracle db
Hi friends
We intend to improve our environment Hyperion of 9.3.3 to 11.1.2.2. and we will go from SQL server as our RDBMS Oracle.
If we change DBMS, do we have to rebuild the total application or is there an easy way to migrate from sql server to Oracle
Please suggest
Thank you
Upgrade the application to 11.1.2.2 while remaining on the SQL Server, then use LCM to export the application, remove the application, update the data source to point to Oracle, use LCM to import.

Can we install the Oracle Hyperion 11.1.1.0.0 Windows XP products
Hello
Please let me know if we can install the products oracle Hyperion 11.1.1.0.0 such as Essbase, Planning, SUN, Smart View for office, etc... Windows XP Professional operating system.
Which is better Windows XP or Windows 2003 Server?
ConcerningHello
You posted this in the forum so essbase I'll just down the same, as I did it.
I'll come back down the road to windows 2003 because it is a supported operating system, XP is not supported even if it may be possible to install it on it.
In view of that experience have been trying to install 11.1.1 is certainly worth a try to choose an operating system that is supported as a starting point.See you soon

Configuration of Oracle Hyperion on ACE30
I have a request to set up an ACE30 for Oracle Hyperion using the SSL termination to the (ACE30) SSL offloader. Does anyone have an example of configuration or a model which could guide me through what should be configured. We have a lot of applications on the ACE #) but this is the first time we will try SSL termination.
I have attached the hyperion deployment guide that explains the limit in detail.
Thank you

Using RAW could be the problem. I'm not sure someone who has used Virtual Box with raw disks for their RAC testbed. Most people use ASM. I've seen a few people use NFS as well. You'll also want to stay away raw because that which is frowned upon in 11.2. See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e41962/whatsnew.htm#RILIN931
Under the Options deprecated for Oracle RAC 11 g Release 2:
"Installation of files on raw devices is no longer an option available during installation. You must use a shared file system, or using Oracle Automatic Storage Management. »
Here's how to configure RAC on my laptop with Virtual Box: http://www.peasland.net/2015/04/23/oracle-rac-on-my-laptop-with-virtual-box/

Does anyone know if the Oracle HTTP server to oracle removed 11 GR 2 database software?
I don't see any apache or mod_plsql under the ORACLE_HOME directory.
The HTTP server has been certified with the license of if used database on the same machine, so I would use it.
I see another middleware product named web layer which also includes, but asked whether this product HTTP Server installation is licenses with RDBMS.

Migration from SQL Server to Oracle database
I have 2 questions:
1. we intend to convert our sql server databases oracle OLTP databases. I tried to use SQL Developer to migrate a database of small sql server to oracle (size 5 GB) database. It was fine. When I tried to migrate to a different database (size 90G), it takes too much time. The problem with sql developer is I can not pick and choose tables. 250 paintings, I need to migrate tables abt 80 (the size will be abt 50 G). What is everyone can share their experiences, as appropriate, converting databases of size average sql server for oracle databases? other options?
2. I intend to convert the sql server ddl to oracle ddl. I have tested bcp out and use sql loader to import the data. Right now I am manually creating the oracle tables sql server tables. I use http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/gateways.112/e12069/apa.htm#BABCIIDI to convert the code. Are there other ways better to convert sql DDL DDL Oracle Server?
Thanks in advanceDDLS must be converted manually. Oracle is not SQL-Server.
If for example, you have the option of partitioning, you should consider using the partitioning index and when it is possible. Not all tables must be hash tables. Do postpone you creation of segment or not? What type of tablespace? Set yourself free percentages and allows you to manage when the data block is on the free list and how much is reserved in the block of data to update rows in this block?
There are many considerations to be taken with regard to the physical database design.
Using BCP and SQL * Loader sound good. SQL * Loader is fast and scalable - use it to load up to 3.6 million lines every 60 seconds. Direct and parallel charges will give the best performance in this regard (assuming that the underlying table structure and use supports this approach).

Advice on the implementation of a server HTTP for APEX
Hi Experts,
I am very busy to configure an application in the APEX, and we are about to deploy it on our production servers.
Side database is fine, but I have a few questions on the HTTP server.
(I just trained as an engineer, working with databases for a few years but the world of HTTP is fairly new for me).
-What is the best option for the HTTP Server?
I tested autonomous apex_listener now and under Server GlassFish.
When we move to production, I'm looking at:
-max 10 concurrent users
-windows 2003-based Web server
-APEX 4.1
-oracle 10.2
-Once we have installed the APEX on the database server, we keep the apex available files, or can I just remove?
(I know I need the file apex\images on the Web server).Hi JP,
-What is the best option for the HTTP Server?
I tested autonomous apex_listener now and under Server GlassFish. The stand-alone mode is intended to be used for development/testing purposes only. If you are considering a production deployment, use a server JEE 'full share '. GlassFish is an option. If it is the one that you want depends on your production and your previous experiences with JEE servers scenario. You will get a complete list of all the servers JEE with support in the section of the Setup Guide requirements.
-Once we have installed the APEX on the database server, we keep the apex available files, or can I just remove?
(I know I need the file apex\images on the Web server). You can simply delete the installation package, but you might want to keep some files for the tasks of maintenance and development, for example apxchpwd.sql in order to reset the password for the internal ADMIN of the APEX and the content apex\utilities if you need to reset the image prefix or use APEX based on java to export to export the line of command/script function (multiple) APEX applications.

No the ciscoworks server http response
Hi all
We use a stand-alone server of Ciscoworks lms 3.0.1.
In ciscoworks Portal attend, when we click on the Configuration of the server, we get error
CWA14: No the ciscoworks Server HTTP response.
Either: 1. the server may be down. OR2.the Protocol, port number or the user maybe credentials wrong.
1 check the connection to the server.
2. check the credentials.
3. restart the daemon manager.
We can view the setting of the server, and we have not changed credentials or stop all services. Everything works fine.
Why this error is coming and what should be done to clean it up.
Thank you
with respect,
Ashraf
It is most likely a problem with your user identity System credentials, then. Go to common Services > server > Security > identity system configuration and re - enter user credentials valid for a user who has full access to all of the LMS. Then see if CWA works.

Migration from SQL Server to Oracle during 11.1.2.4 upgrade
Hi all
To further expand on the title, wanted to check if it is possible to migrate from SQL Server to Oracle, while improving 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.4 on brand-new material. There is a change in all the components (s/w, h/w, RDBMS) so I wanted to run this generic statement by the forum to see what the experts think.
Where in the equation can count us on LCM?
I know that John Goodwin had already answered a few questions on the same subject for previous versions, but as 11.1.2.4 is a different game... I would be grateful if someone could share their thoughts.
Thank you!
If you are installed on hardware costs and migration then it should be independent of the RDBMS. Not to say there is no problems with passing of 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.4 (if you use planning, for example, business rules-> Calc Manager) but they certainly should not be linked to the fact you've changed the underlying database.

Oracle Hyperion Reporting &; Analysis import question
We have exported for Reporting and analysis of Oracle Hyperion 11.1.2.0 objects and imported into Hyperion 11.1.2.4 using LCM... Once imported, we checked the balance of migration, and it showed completed. But when we checked under explore, we are able to see the folders of report on the left side, and when we double click on it only opens... Help, please
Thanks in advance for the answer...
Instead of LCM, you can try to export space of > explores
File > export and select file / report you want to export (make sure you select "All financial Reporting objects")
try to import them into the right click on the folder where you want to import

Hello
It should work without problem.
According to the following document, you should have the kernel version 2.6.18 - 8 or higher.
Oracle Database (RDBMS) under Unix AIX, HP - UX, Linux, Mac OS X, Solaris, Tru64 Unix operating system Installation and Configuration requirements checklist (8.0.5 to 11.2) (Doc ID 169706.1)
