hyperlinks in a pdf document

Hello world

I did some searching on the forum and I could not find an answer to my problem. Here it is:

I have an Excel sheet with hyperlinks (associated with the files in the server of my company). I saved the Excel sheet in PDF format. I am therefore able to click hyperlinks in the PDF file. But he just opened my internet browser and nothing happens. When your colleagues are trying on their computers, they receive an error message.

Someone knows how to fix this? Like I said I don't HAVE pdf printing, I saved the xls to pdf.

Thank you

Caesar

PS: Windows / Adobe Acrobat X

Hi Cesar-

Have you checked the URL indicated in the links in Acrobat? This is where you're likely to find the problem.

To check, open your PDF worksheet, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Tools icon PDF Edit in the right pane.
  2. When the tools load, click on the link drop-down list on the toolbar and select Add/Edit Web or a Document link to identify the links on the page.
  3. Double-click a link to open its properties and check the URL.

Donna.

    I tried as simply as on Windows XP with Adobe Reader 11.0.10 and Firefox 36.0 - the link opens instantly.

    Try if disable Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Enhanced) protection] solves the problem.

  • Hyperlink to the PDF document generated by FM non - FM PDF?

    Is there a way to make the FrameMaker to generate a PDF file containing a hyperlink to a PDF file generated by another program?

    I use message URL appendix1.pdf = 49 #page, that works, but appendix1.pdf opens in the default browser rather than in Acrobat.

    Maybe there's a Microtype utility to add this?

    It occurs to me suddenly that if I create a dummy appendix1.fm and use openpage appendix1:49, FM could generate the correct link. I'll try that.

    I have no control over the target a PDF file. They are not all named destinations.

    You can manually add the numbered page destinations in Acrobat or use Shlomo Perets Timesavers <> http://www.microtype.com/timesavers.html > to add a special type of link to a marker [~ PdfPageLink], which opens the file target on the specified page.

    FM always assumes that the marker of the hypertext links that it creates are links 'Destination', not 'Page/View' type of link. You can also try to manually code these types of links in blocks of text postscript using the pdfmark syntax, but this just to prolong the agony.

    As far as I KNOW, there is not a mechanism via Javascript in Acrobat to add named destinations either.  I found this tool, NameIT, Merlin <> http://www.merlin-os.co.uk/products/nameit/ > who might be able to do, but if you have to acquire something, I would say Shlomo Timesavers are more versatile for users of FM.

  • Can I print the pages of source for the hyperlinks in a pdf document

    http://www.stratishealth.org/documents/ClinicLinkJuly14_R.PDF

    I have Acrobat X Pro. I created the above PDF file that shows hyperlinks as a clickable link to "Read more about it...". A reader asked for a PDF file that it can print, yet he'd out somehow the real URL that the link "more about it..." will. Anyone know of a way that I can provide this?

    Also, I thought I had found a way to print a PDF and Acrobat real 'catch' web pages, so that I have a hyperlink, but I can't find such a feature. I start to think I dreamt it.

    Thank you

  • Getting a list of hyperlinks in a PDF document

    I just finished a project page with hyperlinks 600 dot. (Originally done in InDesign)

    I was wondering if there is a function in Acrobat 9 Pro, which will give you a number of hyperlink in a document. I found the function where you can look at a document and get a number of images in a PDF file, but I'm not finding a similar function for hyperlinks.

    Is this possible?

    Thank you.

    From the file of JavaScript reference. Run this in the console:

    var numLinks = 0;
    for (variety p = 0; p)< this.numpages;="">
    {
    var b = this.getPageBox ("Crop", p);
    var l = this.getLinks (p, b);
    numLinks += l.length;
    }
    Console.println ("Number of links in the Document is" + numLinks);

  • How can I remove a hyperlink to a PDF file in the drop of hyperlinks.

    Muse, I created a hyperlink to a PDF file on my computer that has downloaded the PDF on my server.

    I have now disconnected the link and no longer wish to use the PDF file.

    However, the link to the PDF document remains an option in the drop of hyperlink.

    So now when I try to download from another server, the PDF file is included in the download, even if there is no active hyperlinks to the PDF document.

    It's a big PDF and I need to exclude it.

    How can I remove the link to the PDF of the drop hyperlinks?

    Search for the file in your 'Assets' Panel and click on the thrash at the bottom of this Panel. If it is grayed out, your PDF is still in use

  • What is the maximum number of supported in a PDF document hyperlinks?

    What is the maximum number of supported in a PDF document hyperlinks?

    How will I know how many hyperlinks, there is in a PDF document?

    There is no limit per document. Links (with hyperlinks to URLS) are not stored all together, but stored for each page. There is no limit per page either but I would begin to worry about performance if there is more than 100 per page.

    Just for fun, I checked how many links there are in the PDF file, I use most often (of about 6000 pages). ; There are 52 000 links inside.
