Hyperlinks to PDF linking incorrectly

I created a document in InDesign (CS4) with hyperlinks. When I test them in the document in the hyperlinks Panel, they all work very well. After I converted in PDF format, some links are linking incorrectly. In the document, the name of the web page is the text of the hyperlink, but it is followed by a colon. Links I put in place and tested several times do not have the two points at the end, but when I convert it to PDF format, the link picks up the colon and therefore incorrectly connected. What I am doing wrong?

I have attached the PDF version, just in case someone wants to see it. I think that all the links are probably picking up the colon, but only two of them a link to a Web site that is not automatically redirect to the correct Web page.

Have you checked the links and content boxes include interactive n the export dialogue box? I look like a little to it are automatically genreated hyperlinks in Acrobat.

Changing the State of the box containing the PDF tag, can sometimes help, too.

    Hi vaclavt6237654,

I'm sorry, but it is not possible to add hyperlinks to a PDF file in MS Reader on Android.

You could do the same thing using the Adobe Acrobat software.

  • RoboHelp guard clear my PDF link information

I use RH10. I inherited a help system that uses hyperlinks for a link to a PDF that is contained in a directory within RoboHelp. I need to add a new link, so I decided to copy the formatting of the existing hyperlinks that specify a specific page in the PDF file, as follows:

    .. /PDF/my_teamcenter.PDF#page=296

Whenever I do and save the hyperlink, it truncates the link name and excludes information page number, as follows:

    .. /PDF/my_teamcenter.PDF

Why RoboHelp keep remove this information? All existing links are formatted as such and are working properly?

    Thank you

    Douglas

I think you'll find that adding the page number cannot be done from the Design tab. I guess that the person who has done so previously added the link to the PDF document and then in the HTML tab to add the #page = 296 here. Don't forget to save the topic before leave you the tab or you may find that the page number is not saved.

  • Possibility for the PDFS linked to be opened in the browser?

    Hello

I use 9 Captivate and I wonder if it's possible for a PDF linked to open separating it into PDF format, rather than in a new browser window.

For example, the PDF file has automatic update fields that are not updated when opened in the browser, but updates correctly when opened in Adobe Acrobat.

    Thank you

    Hello

To my knowledge, how any linked file opens or that is completely dependent on the end-user device and how it has been configured to process regardless of the file is.

I would be surprised to discover that you can influence exactly what happens when the user clicks on the link.

I don't believe in other words, you can force a specific behavior.

    See you soon... Rick

  • Adobe PDF link Helper is missing

Adobe PDF link Helper is missing in a user's browser. It is not disabled - just not there

How can I get that back?

    Win7x64

    Adobe Reader 9

    Grade converter

    IE9

    Please and thank you.

I solved the problem myself. Apparently Adobe Reader does not work with THE 64-bit. Once I open 32-bit IE plugin (see above) was there (and disabled), but NOT in the 64-bit version - it has not even show as disabled in the 64-bit version, he was not right there.

  • Hyperlinks in PDF any works not in the export in PDF format

I created an ad in InDesign using hyperlinks. I export this announcement as PDF and hypertext links are working fine. Import the PDF file in my magazine in InDesign. Then, when I export the magazine in PDF format, the links in the PDF file do not work.

Other hyperlinks works very well. Hyperlinks in other imported PDFs work very well. It doesn't matter if the imported PDF document is linked or embedded. I also tried to import just the INDD file, but that no longer works.

    What Miss me?

(I use the most up-to-date CC InDesign on Windows 8) I use Print PDF rather than interactive PDF).

What Steve has said is true. Links to not carry on when a file is placed into InDesign, in this way. Bob also noted that be recognized hyperlinks only implied that Acrobat can detect. One solution would be to draw an empty frame on the top link in InDesign, convert it to a button and set it to the GoToURL action and enter the url. This in fact will have an impact on when exporting to PDF, as long as you have the hyperlink check box selected.

  • This link to another in PDF: links break when folder w/files is compressed

I'm having a problem and would LOVE to have solved it as soon as possible. I have a folder on my desktop that contains about 10 PDF files. On some PDFs, I created bookmarks. Other PDF files, I've created hyperlinks that will open PDFs with bookmarks. Everything is peachy, all links open PDF files.

Once I have compress/zip the folder that contains PDF files, I double-click the compressed file, and then double-click the file in the zipped file and open the main PDF file. When I click on any of the hyperlinks, nothing DON'T get PAST

If I extracted the folder containing the PDF files from the compressed and then open the main PDF file with all the links, bookmarks open without problem files.

Why did I lose hyperlinks while trying to open PDF files without extracting the folder?

Because when you double-click on a file in a compressed folder is not

Unpack the whole thing, it only extracts the file you clicked on to a

temporary folder somewhere on the computer, and then opens it. If the links

for the other files are no longer valid.

If you want this to work you must unpack the complete zip file, no parts of

    it.

  • How can you save an Excel spreadsheet with hyperlinks to PDF?

Specifically, hyperlinks on excellent are not transferred correctly.

It is an old bug of 15 year that Adobe refuses to fix up the place the blame on Apple and Ms. Its been priven over and over again this is not with Apple or Mac they just do not want to fix it or don't know how. Until Adobe goes belly up (if they ever in the future) they won't fix this bug.

As long as the excel file does not have macros and VBA.  If you have iWork of Apple package then open 'numbers' and import the excel file. Make sure that your links are still working.

Register now as a numbers document first. Then export back as Excel Document.  You can do the same thing with any version of OpenOffice as NeoOffice, OpenOffice, LibreOffice (my favorite stay more up-to-date). Now create your PDF in Excel. The links should be.

  • updated pdf link

I have an existing Web page that contains a hyperlink to a pdf file. I need to update the hyperlink with a new document.

The new pdf is on the remote server - but the link is not updated on the site.

I mentioned it in the new document, registered, sync did. Put it on, refreshed, he...

    Any help would be appreciated.

I discovered web (Chrome and IE) when I make changes and checks the updates... for whatever the cause, his past does not...

Is that what you can provide a link so we can take a look?

I like your idea to re - appoint the same document and delete the old... done pretending, so to speak...

That's what I did for many years.

Works perfectly and means I have only to download the PDF file.

Some old static sites that I've implemented (where archiving is not automatic but versioning is required), content creators add the current PDF with something like _CURRENT, then rename it later on the server, for example Minutes_Oct_2011 for archiving.
