  • Accidentally deleted Windows 7 during the attempt to dual boot with Ubuntu

    Dear Sir/Madam,

Service number: ADMIN NOTE: maintain the label removed by privacy policy >

In trying to dual boot my system with Ubuntu, I accidentally erased Windows 7 during the partition. I bought my system used in a store and now I need a way to get Windows 7. I don't want to pay too much for the support. I talked to a Dell technician and they said for security systems that they charged $120 for each case. I don't know how true it is or if there are exceptions. I'm not quite willing to pay $120 for support, because I paid only about US $300 for the system. If I were asked to pay US $120 for it, I might as well buy a new one right? It is not that I am not willing to pay for support, but if the charge is a significant percentage of the value of the system, I am not prepared to pay for it.

Any help you can give me in this regard will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Sun

You can try Windows 10 TH2 by yourself... If you like it then you don't need to pay Windows 7 media and/or to obtain from an unofficial source.

There are always positive and negative comments on versions of Windows. Windows ME, Vista and 8 in particular had the worst critics... In my opinion Windows 10 is a good successor to Windows 7 (Windows 8 was not).

If you don't like it then you can get the DVD on eBay. The restorediscs is probably just copied a DVD to reinstall Dell Windows 7 send. There are debates or no eBay or these sources media buy is authentic or not. The license is tied to the Windows 7 COA affixed to your computer, so from a technical point of view it does not matter where you get the installation media.

  • Accidentally deleted Windows 8 Admin rights

I accidentally deleted the administrator account in Windows 8. Now I'm unable to make changes to the system.

I can't allow built-in system administrator like now I have the rights to do this.

Is there another way to restore the administrator account?  Help, please!

    Thank you very much

    Yann H,

Thank you very much for your help. I did as instructed, even if it has not completely fixed the problem. So, I activated the built in Administrator and done a restore of the system to a point before I accidentally deleted the administrator accounts. Restarted once again and I have it back up and functioning normally.

    Once again, thank you.

If a friend has an Asus laptop and it tries to remove Microsoft Office 2010 to upgrade to Office 2013.  While she was doing this, I guess it somehow deleted the actual operating system.  She tried to restore the computer and it has not worked.  And she can't re install Windows 8 on classic, because his computer is not a hard drive.
I have no idea what to do, but please help!   Thanks to all those who can help you.

  • Accidentally deleted Windows 98 when trying to reinstall XP Pro upgrade.

I wanted just a fresh reinstall of XP Pro, so please help me with my specific problem if you can.  I was using my version of XP Pro to re-intall upgrade.  Instructions for reinstalling confused me and I inadvertently selected an option that has removed the original 98 OS during installation process.  Given that my copy of XP Pro, is to install an upgrade not a complete new OS, I can't proceed because my 98 files are gone: (...) (but perhaps not fatal?)  I stopped the process as soon as I realized that the option I chose was probably not the right, but it seems that it was too late.  Using my XP Pro upgrade cd installation could not proceed when I tried again because the original 98 OS files are now missing. :(

I got this computer set up with a legitimate 98 and XP Pro upgrade for several years.  I can't find my original of 98 (I can't find it in stock and gives me an injury so I can't dig for it, also, it could be anywhere).  So the problem is this: I need to restore my 98 operation system somehow somehow (without my cd), so I can use my XP Pro updated to get back to where I was, a work computer XP Pro.  That's all.

Is it possible to do, either by MS support (I was registered through Windows Genuine Advantage or just what it's called so I guess they can check that my BONES were and are indeed legitimate) or can they help me with another installation of 98 so I can re - install usimg my upgrade back to XP Pro? Or another solution? Somehow to restore the deleted files? Please note: I can not afford to buy anything right now, I am out of work right now, so thank you very much in advance for any suggestions and the reasons to buy Windows 7 or buy something else, but these solutions are NOT viable for me right now, but thank you again if you were going to think that.  What I really need help's suggestions as to what can be done to help me get my current system facing up and running using what I have on the spot.

I appreciate sincerely any help you can offer!

  • Accidentally deleted Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer)

Looking for a way to download or restore of Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer).

First of all, in response to the first question below on the race "explore c: /" when I did that, the local directory c: came. Should I do something more about it? I still hope to restore Windows Explorer.

What you have proven this response is that Windows Explorer is still there and still doesn't work as it should for any aspect you gave (although again, just the startup and power use Windows, see your desktop, etc turns works in Windows Explorer.)  What I'm saying is that there is nothing to 'restore' in have you seen/shown so far.  You have a Windows Explorer.

If there is something specific, you can say is missing, maybe we can help.

  • Accidentally deleted a photo, I want to keep it, how can I get the picture back?

I was looking through all my new messages and did a lot of deletion. This photo of girls came and I accidentally hit the bar to remove it. Is it possible that I can get her back? I found the picture in the file to be deleted, but can not see some sort of "undo" or send me the photo via email
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    BanjoJim

Under edit is an undo command. He's going to cancel the last operation only so if you deleted something else after that will not work.

If you find the message in the trash, just slip and fall back into the folder that you want only it in.

FYI: using the Inbox for storage to long term of the message that you want to keep is a bad idea. Read this article on the maintenance of your messaging system.

How do I restore my shipping history function

    Hello

In Internet Explorer, there is no way, you can restore or recover deleted browsing history. By default, the navigation history is saved in a temporary folder and once you delete the record navigation history is also empty.

Alternatively, you can also publish this issue in Internet Explorer IT Pro TechNet Forums: Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ieitprocurrentver/threads
