• Hello. I'm unable to open Lightroom 3 on my iMac.

  I just got back from vacation to find that my Lightroom3 won't open. As a photographer with a newborn shoot organized this week. It is causing me a lot of stress.

  I noticed that the icon has changed the LR normal one on my Doc station. I still have the normal LR icon as a shortcut on my screen, but does not open LR from any one of them. I tried the alt key as suggested in the forums. But nothing opens. You can see the new weird icon in the screenshot I took.

  On 08/09/14, I have installed a new Time Machine backup external hard drive. I noticed that the last backup of Lightroom was just before I went on vacation the next day on the Time Machine was set up.

  I'd appreciate any help, as I am not computer minded and have no idea where start rectifying the problem.

  If you've used time machine to back up your data and applications Lightroom will not work correctly.

  I would like to advice you uninstall and reinstall Lightroom and then check.

  OK, tried and put up a new user account. It makes me only have access to the admin (I guess) the screen which is the basic version of windows, but with none of my info. Is it possible to access this account that I'm missing?

  Hello

  I am suddenly unable to open Lightroom 6.  I get this error message.

  I uninstalled it, run cleaner Adobe Creative cloud. Run C Cleaner on the files and the registry. LR6 downloaded and reinstalled and still get the same message.
  I tried the trial of CC and that worked fine.

  
  Windows 10 home. v1607

  AMD Radeon A10 - 7700K, 4 c and 6G of carrots, 3.4 GHz
  8 GB OF RAM.

  Any ideas how to fix this, please?

  With Lr closed go to the location where your catalog (by default it is pictures/Lightroom)

  Delete the. Lock file with the same name as your catalog. For example, in the image below, it is Lightroom4 catalog.lrat.lock

  

  In your case, it will be Lightroom5catalog.lrcat.lock

  Restart Lightroom

  You need LR 6.5.  When you first install LR 6, he moved to 6.0.

  Have you downloaded the photos using the Nikon software? It is known that will corrupt files, so that the PS can not open them. This test by shooting an image and opening directly from the map, or your operating system allows to transfer the image.

  Please stop the creative application of cloud.

  Open Manager task (on Windows) or activity (Mac) monitor

  End or Force quit all the Adobe processes such as Coresync, CClibrary etc.

  Once done, please try to launch the application in creative cloud and see if it works.

  Firefox 19.0.2 is suddenly unable to provide a platform for the connection, or the connection to Google sites. This occurred in a working session.

  What I get on YouTube is a red banner

  I say that it is Firefox because changing browser doesn't have these problems.
  I started Firefox in safe mode and nothing changes to avoid any rejection due to adblock or ghostery.

  I would appreciate the pointers that I can use to better identify the problem.

  You can try to remove the passwords of the site that are currently stored in password manager:

  • Tools > Options > Security: passwords: "saved passwords" > "show passwords".

  You can delete all stored data with a specific area through "Forget this Site" from the context menu of the history entry (see the history or the history sidebar) or via the subject: permissions page.

  With the help of "Forget this Site" will delete everything as bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions in this area, so be careful and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose so take note of these passwords and bookmarks.
  You can't recover from which "forget" unless you have a backup of the affected files.

  It has no lasting effect, so if come back you on such a 'forgotten' site, then the data of this Web site will be saved once more.

  You can also try opening a new private window (File menu or Firefox) to see if it works.

  It seems that you were lucky enough to make your computer is above all functional.  The most comman damage caused by a power outage unexpectedly sudden or a lightning arrestor are due disc disruption of power file system corruption when writing to disk.  The first step should be to perform a disk check operation.  Fortunately, this does not mean the control panel.  When you perform this check, specify the options/r or f if you use the command line or the two boxes if you are using the GUI.  He will complain that it cannot check until you restart.  Simply answer 'Yes' then restart your machine.  WARNING: a complete check-up can take hours and cannot be interrupted.  Progress bars are not always accurate.

  the problem is solved by defining the "Media Types" in RealPlayer, the list showed that MMS is not associated with any player, I just chose mms and now Protocol mms works fine with WMP. soon :) Thank you for your cooperation buddy...
