  When you tried to open wmv attachments and has not, have you an error message?
  If Yes, please post the message in its entirety... vrbatim please.

  Meanwhile, check to see if you have Windows Media Player, defined as a program to open the wmv files...

  Start > Default programs > associate a type of file or Protocol with a specific program > wait loading > under name, scroll to .wmv, click on it > look everywhere, under Default Current, it shoud say Windows Media Player...
  otherwise > click Change top program > scroll to find Windows Media Player and select it > click OK when finished. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  Try this, instead of open Windows Mail on the part of the shortcuts to quick launch or desktop, or in the Start Menu, start it from "start |" All programs | Windows Mail' and see if your attachments open.  There is a recurring problem between Internet Explorer 8 and Windows Mail that causes this and many people have been able to resolve the question drinking from Windows Mail in this way.  These discussions have a lot more information:

  Hi, I posted a thread earlier of not being able to open attachments on a curve of BB uses. I have reviewed other articles on how to solve these problems; first sent service book, which did not work. Now, I just a security © e and re-authenticated with the BES.

  Now, it has solved the problem of not being able to respond to emails, but will not open attachments. Am I missing something or is there another way to solve this isssue?

  This is the case. I solved this problem by completeting following actions;

  BB security wipe device\ re - activate the service BES\ book delete Desktop (CMIME)------delete account on reactivate it account\ BES\ re - create.

  After having tried eveyrthing else, it was almost a last resort. And to be honest I wasn't expecting to work. But he did. So I thought it was interesting to share.

  Trying to open the attachments in emails and am get error message that says operation not started.  Why is this happening?  The files are PDF files and have been able to open "forever" until yesterday...

  Create a file association.

  1. download and save the attachment to the office.
  2. right click on the saved file.
  3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
  4. click on: choose [default] program.
  5. Select: Adobe Reader.
  6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
  7. click on OK.

  This should allow you to open these attachments directly from email address now.

  You are is Windows Vista Home version. Open Internet Explorer and click Help | Everything. You get the error message is a known problem with IE8, although I thought that was patched.

  1: Download the zip file. Right-click | Extract all. Click on the result and run it. You will see buttons for compact and repair the database.

  2: click the icon in the Notification area to open the program. You will need to look around, after that, as I'm not familiar with the details about moy.

  3: click Start, and then stop. When the computer is turned off completely, press the power button to restart.

  You have upgraded to 9.3.1? This solves the problem of links.
