I am unable to check my account to be able to synchronize Firefox because the button check, they sent me in an e-mail message has failed, can you help me?

  • A toolbar to work is now not checked in Firefox and I can't use it. Can you help me please?

    I used Nectar as my homepage and a toolbar added for many years. I always that it is simple and easy to use (a big plus for aging technophone!) and it is especially useful for letting me know what stores I could shop with through Nectar to increase my Nectar points. Points were also earned to complete the 'research', another useful feature.

    In the past months, I have struggled with this up to the point where I contacted the persistent Nectar. They have kindly added 'free' points to my account to compensate for the fact that I had been unable to use the toolbar or to the shop via the Nectar. They suggested uninstalling and reinstalling the improved version of their toolbar. I tried to do several times, but have failed to be able to access online stores through Nectar and also to add to my total points using the Nectar search tool.

    After trying again, in vain, to reload the toolbar, I now have to find a message from Firefox saying "Nectar Toolbar could not be verified for use in Firefox. Proceed with caution.

    Can you please check this product so that I can continue its use? I don't know how else more to come this problem and would like to make things as simple as they were until this issue has been raised.

    I hope someone can help - but please keep in mind of my state of technophobia and explain things in a way very simple for me (IE without using jargon 'computer' and technical writing!).

    Firefox 40 verification is only a warning message, the new 'signature' feature add-on will keep an extension to work in Firefox 40.

    If this Nectar toolbar simply stop working in Firefox 40, I can only imagine that this is due to a deprecated API that uses the extension or another issued compatibility. Add-on developers who are registered with the official website of modules was warned about this, API removed from Firefox 9 to 12 months to give developers time to fix their add-on before Mozilla removed the corresponding code for this API.

    Bottom line is the Nectar needs to fix their extension to get it working again, AND they need to submit it to Mozilla Add - ons for the signature.

    In 41 Firefox Add - ons that are not "signed" will be disabled, but the user can substitute for it. In Firefox 42 that replace the missing aura of the Beta and Release versions - signature is required for Firefox 42 and subsequently.

    Hi, I have correctly set up two Gmail accounts in Thunderbird and send me and receive messages for a while. Suddenly, I was unable to send or receive. My account settings are correct (they are exactly as they were when I properly set up the accounts). I am able to access my incoming emails and send emails via the new webmail. I deliberately deleted one of the accounts and attempted to set up again but Thunderbird now can't find the details of the account, although it is able to find them before. I'm really confused now and many would appreciate help from someone that I have no idea what to do to solve this problem!

    Later: (1) I have now deleted my two accounts and tried their replacement. I have the correct Gmail details (password etc.). All I get is a message from Thunderbird by saying "sorry - we are unable to communicate with our server subscription. Please check your connection. "There is no problem with the connection.

    (2) I only changed from Freeserve (now EA) by email to Gmail because of the difficulties to send and receive messages from Freeserve with Thunderbird; like Gmail accounts worked I had assumed Freeserve was the problem but not sure now that the lightning seems to have hit twice now Gmail does not work.

    Matt thanks for the very quick response. I worked on this problem in the early hours of this morning. It turned out to be a problem with my firewall. I solved it by turning off the firewall temporarily while I got the email client to communicate with its server that got the email client correctly configured. It sends and receives messages as it should despite the firewall having been turned back on (as soon as I could). Apparently, it is possible to have an 'exception' to a firewall. I am told that the e-mail software must contact the server every two weeks (I thought he was doing this all the time its use in!) and I should throw an exception.

    Anyway, thanks again for taking the time and trouble to answer.

    A friend used my pc to view his Facebook account and used my account. Now, my pc thinks it's me whenever I try to register with Facebook. I didn't get the error until recently and tried to delete the info but cannot. I tried to access all my security settings and even tried to erase history, but I don't seem to be getting anywhere. According to me, he ordered by mistake my pc to remember his user name and password. I'm not currently registered on Facebook, but I would like to be, but I'm having this problem. Is it important or not? I don't want his crossing of information with mine, because my numbers of ips or something like that. He also, without my knowledge, access to his e-mail, too. His user name seems to appear even if I try to 'Like' something on Facebook. That's when I noticed the problem. Then, when I tried to register with Facebook, I was mistaken for him. Check boxes are done already filled with information. I don't want to invade his privacy. His whole profile comes with friends, photos, etc... Help, please! I can't make a record to 'save' since I don't know exactly when this happened and I loaded new programs, including safety and associated files.

    Side note: I myself have a Steam account, but my computer with connected Steam account since was not at the point where the transaction of steam that went, and my newspapers receiving account Steam have no record of purchases happening in the last week.

    I think that someone is suggesting this thread to another sub-forum for viruses and spyware &.   I don't know that it's the kind of 'analysis' ever made here.

    Unless someone else wants to comment, all I can do is offer you some common sense advice: If you haven't already done so, contact your Bank and credit card company to warn about potential fraud.   You can also contact the major credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.
