  The relay program runs on the client.  VMCI is used to Exchange datagrams with the Linux host. UDP is used to Exchange datagrams with the other computer, which is connected to a network that is only accessible to the guest.  The client works on Windows XP.

  I have all the basic ingredients of work, but having problems on the Windows client to select() or WSAWaitForMultipleEvents() to work with UDP and VMCI.

  First of all, select():

  If I configured the parameter readfds with both VMCI socket fd (client) and the Protocol UDP socket fd (server), and then select an error of Windows Sockets, 10022 (Invalid Argument).  If I comment out the FD_SET VMCI socket fd, and then select it call works and my program expects successfully and bed, the socket UDP datagrams.  Similarly, if I comment out the UDP socket fd FD_SET, then select is behaving normally and my program is successfully and bed, taking VMCI datagrams.

  Have no chance with select(), I started using the WSAWaitForMultipleEvents():

  This approach has completely killed all VMCI features.  My program was waiting for and read, the datagrams UDP, but the event associated with taking VMCI was never put in a signaled state.

  I'm stuck now.

  On the side of Linux, VMCI seems to work more as it should.  My "client" program creates a VMCI/datagram socket and uses the TUN/TAP interface to extract the IP of the Linux kernel packages.  I use select() must to wait for data to arrive either fd or fd TUN/TAP VMCI socket.  All this seems to work very well.

  I guess I can re - write the Guest program Windows "relay" as two separate programs, each block on a single socket - essentially two programs relay half duplex.  Or I could use the 2 wires in a single program.

  Any ideas as to what the Windows Sockets error 10022 (Invalid Argument) in select can be?

  This means that a different password was in effect at this point, even if your daughter thinks otherwise. There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:

  • Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
  • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
  • Insert your flash drive USB with the password key file (only works if you have taken the time to create such a key file).
  • Use the password indicator (only works if an indicator was created and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
  • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)

  The most important point would be: run a machine without a spare admin account is about as risky to have a house key. Sooner or later, he is at risk for any number of reasons.

  #Separate Weblogic domain for the components installed on the Linux box (Foundation)

  #Separate Weblogic domain for the HFM components installed on the Windows machine

  Such as Weblogic in Linux can't talk to the components installed on the Windows machine.

  I'm looking to upgrade my 32 bit to 64 bit on my HP Pavilion a6710t (which came with Vista 32-bit) OS.

  Because I'm changing from 32 bit to 64 bit I do a 'Custom' instead of 'Upgrade' installation installation so I I will lose programs installed, including pre-installed as Cyberlink DVD Suite software and reinstall it after the upgrade is done.

  Downloads for 64-bit for my look of machine to be upgraded already installed software to be compatible with 64-bit software installations and is not complete.

  Is it possible to re - install somehow? Like going somewhere on the recovery DVDs?

  Yes, the pre-installed software installation routines are on your HP DVD recovery. Explore disk recovery DVD #1 and I think you will find a folder named "HP". In the "HP" folder should be a folder named 'Apps' and another named 'Drvr' or something similar. In these files should be most, if not all, of the included software.

  Alternatively, you can locate the same files in a folder named "SWsetup" on your c:\ drive, if you have not previously modified.
