  CS5 is several versions back and does not the recent Camera Raw updates in native mode, you can, however, use the converter DNG (Digital Negative) to convert your images to DNG and CS5 format should be able to open those.   Had to reinstall all of the following software for the construction on PC which is on Windows 10 have Lightroom 4 & 5 Photshop there are several updates, but they will not also download the camera raw plugin that prevents sending photos of LR to PS

  Jh5784325 are you apply updates directly or you trigger updates to the help > updates within Photoshop?  The error of U43M1D207 should occur only when the update is to become corrupted during the download process.  If you apply the patch directly while the error should no longer.

  Additional details about the error U43M1D207 error download or update Adobe Creative Cloud applicationsare.  The details of the error are still topical for Creative Suite 5.

  If you continue to have problems then I recommend reviewing the Setup for the update logs.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret logs to installation troubleshooting install problems with log files. CS5, CS5.5, CS6.  You are welcome to post any you find specific errors.

  The camera you have is compatible with the latest version of Lightroom, which is Lightroom 6/CC.

  You can use the DNG Converter, converts images and then import them into DNG in Lightroom.

  Images II 7 d would be directly supported in Photoshop CS5 as requiring a new camera raw.

  So, you must download the free DNG Converter to convert these images to DNG and then open the DNG converted in Photoshop.
