I bought Adobe Pro on my laptop and it is supposed to work on both devices, but now it won't download on my desktop

  For a version upgrade, you MUST have the previous serial number to install

  What password? You can change a password for the account, but if you do not know the FileVault password, you are in a bind. You need to call Apple directly if you their sent an emergency password when configuring the FV.

  Acrobat Distiller is installed automatically with Acrobat Pro, all versions.

  If you are looking for your installed programs, you will find that it is already there.
