The good news is that you can simply delete the "install Mac OS X" install app in the Applications folder on your Mac. Then you can open the Mac App Store when you're ready to update and restart the download from the tab updates or searching through the Mac App Store for El Capitan.   You use the wrong keyboard layout. Apparently, you have a UK keyboard, if you want that the UK keyboard layout. You are probably using the American provision.

  To change it, go to control panel | Region and language and click the keyboard and languages tab. Then click on change keyboards... and choose the one that suits you.

  2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.lnk
  3. OpenWithList should contain only:
     • (Default) | REG_SZ | (value not set)
  4. OpenWithProgids should contain only:
     • (Default) | REG_SZ | (value not set)
     • LNKFILE | REG_NONE. (binary value of length zero)
  5. Make sure that there is no subkey/subfolder UserChoice (if you see him, do a right-click on UserChoice > delete )
  6. Restart your system

  Who has ever done the installation of Windows, the installation program asks you to enter your name and optionally, the name of the organization. These registration information appears under recommended for in the general tab of the System when you click Start, click Control Panel, click performance and Maintenanceand then click System.

  To change see instructions below:

  1. Click Startand then click run.
  2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
  3. Look for the following registry key:
     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
  4. To change the name of the company, follow these steps:

     In the right pane, double-click RegisteredOrganization. Under value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK.
