I can downdgrade a NB200-12W of Windows 7 for XP Pro

I am looking to buy a NB200-12W for the bigger hard drive, but I need to be running XP Pro to post a link in my corporate domain (active directory) can I downgrade to XP Pro (I have a full copy of XP Pro) or will I have problems?
Thank you
Ian

You could do an install dual boot, so you have two choices at startup time. That's what I did, but in the opposite direction since XP is already installed. I created two new partitions, D and E. XP is on C, Windows 7 is on D and all my data files, music, movies, etc. is on E. I did it with the utilities on the Hiren's boot CD. I created a bootable USB and installed the Hiren on this files.

Because Windows 7 was installed first, XP Setup will overwrite the Windows 7 boot sector. To restore the computer to dual-boot two operating systems, you need to start and then a reinstall of Windows 7 until you get to the repair option. Then select fix boot and it will fix the boot sector so that you can select Windows 7 or XP.

Let us know what you decided to do it and how it worked.

Where can I find the driver of Windows 8 for mobile phone Pantech P6030?

Currently, there is no Windows 8 driver for mobile phone Pantech Renue P6030.  However, I download pictures from a Pantech Renue by connecting the mobile phone to a computer with Windows 8.  On the phone screen a menu popped up.  I chose mass storage link that connected to the computer, File Explorer.  From there, I did some limited tasks which enabled me to copy the images on my cloud.  Not all features are on the Explorer of files to allow downloading of all the pictures, but accomplished most of the tasks I wanted to finish.

    Hi all!
is there a link for the image of Windows XP for my laptop? I only DVD with image with it, but its disk image and I don't want to use it, because I can't divide my HARD drive, you don't want to use Norton Firewall, etc...
    Please, help if you can...

    Hi Todor,

If you boot from your recovery CD, you should get a menu that allows to choose the "Expert Mode" installation for your laptop. If you select this option you will then be given a range of other opportunities that will allo you to partition your hard disk before installing the operating system.

As to why Toshiba does not provide the original Microsoft install CD, the fundamental reason is the license cost. It is cheaper to use an OEM license that allows the manufacturer to provide a system pre-installed (such as on your recovery CD). It is also easier for inexperienced users raise new and running his notebook by using this option. The draw the draw-back for experienced users, it's that they are limited to a certain extent with what they can do with the operating system and it is also impossible to choose to install the CD recovery applications.

    Kind regards

  • How can I add a previously installed windows on my mac pro installation

Hi guys, everything becomes to collect my newly bought mac pro 3.1 (used). I'm moving PC, but how do I add my existing installation of windows on my mac? The mac pro is 3.1 and has 2 x 500 GB disks in a raid 1 TB configuration. It's just a matter of plugging my windows disk (I'm guessing No.) or is it a bit more complex than that? Any help or advice will be appreciated and hope to give back as much help as I get that I'm learning. Thank you

You can install Windows on a Mac computer using Boot Camp Assistant or by using a Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox virtual machine natively. Refer to the instructions of Boot Camp located here: http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/. OT If using a virtual machine see the instructions located on the Parallels, Fusion or VirtualBox sites.

In both cases you can not use a PC already existing installation of Windows. You need to reinstall Windows on your Mac.

  • How can I get a compatible with Windows 7 for my laserjet 2550L color Toolbox?

I've upgraded to a Windows 7. Available through windows driver print with my printer laserjet 2550, but I find it anymore a tollbox to help maintain the printer. I tried HP support with no luck. Is there a link to the Toolbox that is compatible with windows 7 somewhere?

I kept looking for many problem reports and eventually found an old recommendation to install 'HP Easy Printer Care software'. It is a utility for managing multiple printers and it is compatible with windows 7. This was also abandoned in download of HP. However, I found someone who uploaded (with a few seeds to download, so I list as the third). Works good utility and at least gives the status of the printer, the cartridges, and alerts. He has all the tools maintenance as the Toolbox, but it is useful. If you have a similar problem, you can try to search for HP Easy Printer Care software.

  • How can I find a copy of windows 7 for dell Xps 15 (L502X)

    Hello evryone...
I have a dell xps (l502X) lap top... it's operating system (Windows 7 Home peremium) resulted in a mistake... and there is now no thereon oparating system, and I have no backup dist to restore it... My question is: there were can I download my lap top operating system?
    Tanks

You misunderstood what George wrote.  Dells have a "factory restore Partition" and reinstalling Windows procedure that is described in the manual of your PC.  For example, here is an excerpt from the mine-

Reference Dell Factory Image Restore [excerpt from manual for Dell Inspiron 1545]
    1. turn on the computer.
2 when the Dell logo appears, press several times to access the Advanced Boot Options window.
Note: If you wait too long and the operating system logo appears, continue to wait until you see the Microsoft Windows desktop; then, shut down your computer and try again.
    3. Select repair your computer.  The System Recovery Options window appears.
    4. Select a keyboard layout and click Next.
    5. to access the recovery options, log in as a local user. To access the command prompt, type administrator in the user name field, and then click OK.
    6. click on Dell Factory Image Restore. The Dell Factory Image Restore welcome screen appears.
Note: Depending on your configuration, you may need to select Dell, then Dell Factory Image Restore factory tools.
    7. click on next. Data delete screen is displayed.
Note: If you do not wish to continue Factory Image Restore, click Cancel.
    8. check the box to confirm that you want to continue reformatting the hard drive and restoring the system software to the factory condition, then click Next.  The restore process begins and may take five or more minutes. A message appears when the operating system and the applications installed in the factory have been restored to the State of the plant.
    9. click Finish to restart the system.

You can find this information for your model on the Dell support website [through www.dell.com ] If you have thrown the manual of your PC and don't have any pdf copy of it.

The manual of your PC will also be instructions for creating a set of "Recovery disc" and do this after the factory restore.

In addition, the backup utility provided with Dells [mine is DataSafe Local, but that may have changed] has the ability to create a USB bootable from the "factory restore Partition" so that you can deal with a hard disk failure in the future.  So do because it is a valuable tool [an insurance against future problems] - they advised me to use a 16 GB USB key, but the image is only 6.2 GB so I could use a 8 GB USB key instead.

Palcouk is also correct.  All this which may or may not have been provided with your purchase, Dell will provide a floppy disk to install OEM of Windows 7 on demand - the load is small, I think [I think I saw a post about it being $30].

  • Windows 7 installation problem - I can not load the disc of windows 7 for

I can't get windows disk to load 7. I am trying to run the full version on top of XP.
When I open my computer, always open the D drive then its empty. Any ideas?

ETA, I try to install the 32 bit one

    I have an answer!

At least, it worked for me tonight, and I pray it works out for others in this situation.

I got exactly the same problem as you, except that I wanted to replace Vista with a clean install of Windows 7 on a computer of the 32-bit system IE.  But, like you, it just has not been grateful that there is a disc in there after that many 'click' would say tell me to insert a disc or that there was a disk failure.  I have since bought nine from a retailer, and was not very impressed and nor am I impressed by the response from Microsoft about this problem and must send them a letter expressing my displeasure.  Issues such as this must be properly studied and perhaps added to the 'specifications' of the software to warn buyers to potential problems of certain brands or models of PC.  In my opinion be told to get off the USB drive with a process that most of the audience would find almost impossible to understand and follow and with the many added costs of having to buy a portable hard drive, large enough DVD or USB drive is unacceptable, as far as Windows 7 is not an item to purchase low price as it is.

In any case, this is what worked for me.

I came to the conclusion that I wasn't going to lose more than £100 and so I have to use a laptop hard drive in order to make the suggested drive of USB and copy the disc on the laptop hard drive.

I went into 'my computer', inserted the disc and he started his stupid clicking on and was not recognized, but in the list readers on the left side, I dragged all drive "E" (which is my DVD player and where the disc of Windows 7 was) on the USB hard drive.  This does not seem to have an effect, so I click with the right button on the E drive and press "copy" and "Paste" on the USB hard drive.  Now, I'm not sure if there is just a delay between the first process or if it was this process that has worked (as a result, please try both), but suddenly it seemed to 'wake up' the disc and it was recognized instantly and "run setup.exe" appeared in a pop-up and I could finally install Windows 7!  (Please Note - Although the disc began to copy it to the USB, I could have cancelled at any time so didn't need actually portable hard drive for this process - it just seems to 'wake up' when I tried to copy it somewhere else).

I really hope it works for all those stuck with this problem and would like to hear if it has.

Another point to note is that during installation, the computer will restart several times, and each time restarted mine, it got stuck on the screen black 'boot from CD' (due to the computer not recognize drive).  It was, fortunately, easy to solved for me to eject the disc and then close it again (leaving the disc, of course).  The rest of the installation was fine.

Please, please post on here if the works above for one of you who have problems.  I sincerely hope that it is.

  • By RegitryKit told me that I have problems with my 1400 register. I can't find anything in my Windows 7 for the book Dummies on the maintenance of the register. Help, please.

How to deal with registry issues?

    Thank you

Registry errors are usually little or no difference in performance of your computer. However big cleaning the registry can cause your computer problems including programs doesn't work don't not or the computer does nothing. Registry cleaners don't consider as a panacea for your computer problems.

In Windows 7, there is no need to worry about maintenance of the register. Leave it alone. If you have a specific problem, search for an answer specified . People in these forums will be happy to help you.

Hi all, a few weeks ago, I bought a Toshiba Satellite (from retail store) that came with Windows pre-installed on it 8. It did come with any CD or serials, and the only indication of Windows 8 is a small sticker on the back that said simply "Windows 8"and door Windows 8 logo in Brown.»

Short time (30 minutes) after trying Windows 8 on the laptop, I was fed up with it and all, wiped install Xubuntu instead of Windows 8. And now I'm eager to return to Windows, although not of Windows 8.
How would it be possible for me to get a key and an image of Windows 7 to install? I don't know where to go, given that the laptop came with no documentation of Windows. I don't have the serial number of the laptop.
