  What happens if you work on a word processing document and you must take the text that is in another document and add it to the current document. You can manually type the information found in the original document in the new document, but which could take quite a long time. Fortunately for us, the operating systems give us the ability to copy text from one document to another document called copy. When you copy data highlighted, this data is stored on the Clipboard until you are ready to paste this data into another program

  To copy something, you first highlight the text you want to copy using one of the methods described above. Then when you highlight text you want to copy, you can copy it to the Clipboard in one of three ways:

  • When the text is highlighted you can press the Control key and the C button the same to copy the data.
  • Right-click on the files or highlight text and clicking on copy.
    
  • If there is an edition menu you can click Edit and then click copy.

  Once you use one of these methods a duplicate of the highlighted text will be placed in the Clipboard, allowing you to paste it into another document or application.

  Cutting text

  Simply move your cursor to the location where you want the data to be pasted into your document and then choose one of the methods to paste the data.

  • With the cursor at the location where you want the data to be pasted press on the button control and the V key in even to paste the data.
  • Right-click on the document and clicking on dough.
    
  • If there is an edition menu you can click Edit and then click Paste.

  After you use one of the commands above the data contained in the clip Panel will now pasted into the document.

  I am trying to copy some simulation glide of a project in an existing project in captivate 8.  When I go to paste the slide, I do not see the screen.  There is a white background on the top of the screen of the stimulation.  See screen print below.  I need drag 152 to display information like drag 151.  It's in the background of the 152 slide but you can't see him because he's behind the white part of the slide.  What I am doing wrong?  Help, please

  

  Examine the properties for slide 152. Try to delete the Master Page option and see if that changes anything.

  Thank you. In fact, I managed to find a solution that does not require the user to press the button! You can add an action to a slide itself using Javascript execution on success. In the Script window, you add that scorm_setcompleted() and that tell of the SGA to mark the complete project on enter on this slide. So that's what to do if someone reads this

  Don't apologize, I know that there is no breakthrough book around anywhere. Maybe once I take my courage and start with it. I am using Captivate version 1 on, but really plunged into it with version 4.

  Have tried so much to persuade users to replace the old buttons by form buttons, not only on my blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, but also at webinars for Adobe. For your case, either you have buttons shape on a slide, and indeed, you are right, in this case, you do not to apply this model of slides to the first/last slide. But you can also time such a button for the rest of the project.   I use HR for years, but I am new to Captivate.

  I want to have a substitution effect in a topic of WebHelp, whereby the user can hover the mouse over a chart and a window will open. Inside the pop - up will be hyperlinks to topics of a WebHelp project.

  My understanding of this day, is that I can insert a Captivate slide in topic WebHelp to achieve this. The slide in Captivate would contain the graphic background and a "slidelet.

  My question is, at what point can I create hyperlinks to WebHelp topics in the slidelet? I have to do to Captivate, and if yes how can I specify the path the link target?

  Or I can make this link after I got the Captivate slide and slidelet in WebHelp project?

  Hmmm, for some reason, I forget that they have added the ability to Captivate 6.

  Good so what you have to do is consider where the Captivate movie will (as in which folder) at the time wherever it is presented in the WebHelp. If you are linking to the XXX.htm section and within RoboHelp, this topic is in a folder called FolderOne, it will depend on the folder that the Captivate movie is. Often, they are inserted in the root of the project. So if this proves to be the case, you should insert the following text in the field:

  FolderOne/XXX.htm

  

  I'll give my theory a try and see if it works for me.

  Remember that the links might fail when you test locally, unless you add the location of the project to the list of sites approved for the Flash Player.

  It is very annoying to press home to unlock.

  Apple will probably not bring the 'slide to unlock' feature back since it has been deleted just today. You don't need to have an iPad with Touch ID to unlock but. Pressing the Home button will do exactly the same thing that slide to unlock did, just without swiping.
