I can't disable sticky keys

I have a Compaq with windows 7 and stay lit and even if the keys i unchecked and re-check all options over and over again I may not go down and her do all really hard. If someone could help me as soon as it would be great. Thank you

I had the same problem earlier.  Disabled and enabled the sticky key option again and again, rebooted the PC and nothing fixed it.

In the end, I had to hold the SHIFT key for about 30 seconds without interruption, until you hear a strange noise of slope high.  This fixed it for me.

Looks like a bug to me.

  • Satellite Pro A200: Can I disable FN keys process

    Hello

I recently bought this laptop. I have the default software installed. However, I don't like the help keys fn (software). It's very pretty, but it uses a lot of resources and it lags behind when in mode 'power save '. There the _anything_ can I do to change? Install more ugly software, but have more performance? Thanks for the quick response.

P.S. It looks like this of the fn keys and process controls called TCrdMain.exe gui. However, it seems quite strange, because I think that this process is used for the card player media, isn't it?

The tcrdmain.exe is a process that controls the keys FN and the TOSHIBA Flash Cards.
The Toshiba flash cards is a utility that appears on the edge of the top of the screen in Windows Vista.

You can turn it off if you think that it of not useful to you, but there is no other programs that could control the FN keys!

If you are referring to the tone when you use the keys on speed dial, which can only be reduced to silence by selecting quiet or vibration of profile. If this isn't what you where referring to then see if your carrier has an OS update for your phone. I have no problem with turning off the different tones of keys.

  • How can I disable keys

How can I disable keys such as CTRL + ALT + down arrow?  I use this combination quite often in another program and whenever I do, it flips my screen upside: (.)  I tried to open gpedit.msc and go to user administration models, components Configuration Windows, Explorer Windows and help turn off Windows + X Hotkeys, but that did not help.

DonK!  The short cuts keyboard of windows are all combinations of the Windows key + something else, for example Windows + L will change user.  The CTRL + ALT + Basel is a shortcut for graphics.  To disable them, just do a right click anywhere on your screen and select Graphics Options, then keys shortcut, then clear.  Problem solved.

PLEASE, DO NOT RESPOND WITHOUT HAVING READ THE FIRST POST! IM NOT ASKING IF I CAN TRANSFER THE PRODUCT KEY ON ANOTHER COMPUTER! My laptop was stolen, but I have the Windows 7 product key.  Can I disable Win 7 for this laptop so they can not use it?  I don't want to transfer the product key on another computer, nor am I asking questions on the follow-up to the computer I bought a computer brand new with a perfectly good copy of win 7. I just need to disable the old key so that they get the Windows 7 is not geniune message and can not get updates.  Furthermore, I have a proof of purchase (original receipt from reception and cc) and entered it in the original box.

IM NOT ASKING IF I TRANSFER PRODUCT KEY ON ANOTHER COMPUTER!

IM WONDERING NOT IF I CAN FOLLOW USING THE COMPUTER WIN 7 PRODUCT KEY!

If you know the correct product key, you can block the user in use- but it won't stop them reformatting and reinstalling using recovery disks from the manufacturer to reinstall using the OEM_SLP key - and it would also prevent your use your laptop must be returned.

You must contact one of the centers of activation and inform them of the keys and the circumstances.

They will then issue a global block on the key (which can take a long time) which will result in any attempt to validate or activate any system with this key, which gives a non-genuine message on the desktop - it will NOT prevent the use of the system, and it will NOT stop the user both take steps to steal the data and/or reformatting/reinstall.

Also note that the key on the COA sticker on the case of the machine is not normally the one in use,- and if the key OEM_SLP is still in use, MS can take no action at all, as thousands of others would be affected.

  • Can I extend the "sticky key" function key "fn"?

I need to use the 'home' and 'end '. On my ASUS keyboard, these keys must be pushed simulaneouly with the "fn". I have only one arm that is imposible. Can I extend the "sticky key" function key "fn".

My computer is an ASUS UX31E.

    Hello WarwickZD and warwick1,

    The short answer is no.

We cannot extend this functionality to the Fn keys.

In order to get this kind of functionality, you would probably need to investigate the 3rd party software.

  • Can I disable the product key of Win7 on a laptop stolen?

I bought a family pack of Windows7 and used a updates on the laptop for my son who was stolen last month.  Can I disable the product key on the laptop and use the key on another pc?

Unfortunately, no, there is no method available to disable remote a product key.

because the thief has your computer, even if it were possible, they could just use a retreival key utility and retrieve your product key. Also, this sets up a cat and mouse scenarios, because they could easily re-activate the license using phone activation. Your best option is to use the phone activation and explain carefully the situation in the call that your product key agent and the laptop has been compromised. The might be able to do something. If you had used the encryption, your data could be much safer.

    Activate Windows 7 manually:
    1. click on start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    2. press enter on your keyboard

    3. Select your country.
    4. Select the telephone activation option and brace yourself for a real person.

  • How can I disable these very annoying keys mapped to the F keys. I want normal F keys!

I play a little my surprise (for me) 4 Gig HP Pvillion g6 powerful i3 laptop (W7 64-bit, integrated :() graphics I am more than happy with it.) HOWEVER! There is one thing that finally pushed now a few minutes ago, and it's shortcut keys of STUPID pre mapped keys f. WHY have buttons F have F BUTTONS DON'T WORK? It is causing me a lot of stress in the world of the imaginary game that I often live and we cannot have just that. Rant on (not a real favorite hangover that I promise you! Just a little Catharsis) Please help oh ye enlightened internet folk!

EDIT: I should have clarified that I mean keys F # but I have faith in your intelligence to help a friend. Overcome my simple ignorance, and bring me the knowledge of the ancients! Can do you so soon? I wan't to play Far Cry 3 without a hitch

Seems that HP has made these keys just active in them pressed (nowhere did he clear how long this interval is).
BUT (and now comes the good news), they can be disabled in the BIOS so that they operate strictly as keys 'F' (page 38):
"An action key performs an assigned function. The icon on each of the f1 through f4 and f6 keys
by f12 keys shows the function assigned to this key.
To use a function key to action, press in and hold the key.
The main feature of the action is enabled in the factory. You can disable this feature in the configuration utility (BIOS).
See Using Configuration Utility (BIOS) and the system on page 68 Diagnostics for instructions on opening
Setup Utility (BIOS) and then follow the instructions at the bottom of the screen. »

Then, after it is disabled in the BIOS, they only work as 'special' according to Mr. Clement keys, pressing the Fn key in combination with her:
"To enable the function assigned after deactivation of the key feature of the action, you must press the fn key in.
combination with the appropriate action button. »

Here is a link to the manual for more information:
    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03271200.PDF>

If you still have a problem with her due to the proximity of the Fn key, then I believe that you can turn it off completely by stopping HP Quick Launch in the Task Manager. Test it offline before game to ensure that the judgment it does not affect other functions of the keyboard that you need.
    Game on, my friend!
