I also changed the default controllers controls and set left lean & thin right to left analog stick left/right as PRIMARY & I updated lean left & lean right D - pad left/right as SECONDARY controls.

    Hi Zxcvbnma,

    ·         Is the specific issue with only Need for Speed or does happen with other games as well?

If the problem is specific only with Need for Speed, you can try to uninstall the game and reinstall the game and check if it works fine without any problems.

I also suggest that you uninstall Xbox 360 controller drivers and reinstall the drivers that could help you solve the problem.

Check the settings of the game. You can also connect the controller to the other computer and use it and check if the problem still persists.

Thank you, and in what concerns:

  • Xbox 360 controller to rumble does not and windows triggers

I recently brought a xbox 360 controller to my pc all the buttons seem to work fine execpt triggers, they work with games like halo 1 havnt tested too many other games tho
He came with the instillatoin disk but still do not work the triggers that bothers me really because I could have made a controller at half price with style ps2 but I perfer the 360 setup
so, it would be great if someone can help me solve this problem

    ray_mo_321,
If the controller works fine on other games (all the buttons and triggers), then you know that he is in communication with your PC correctly.  You must look in the configuration of the controller on the game to make sure it can use a controller and is properly configured for this.

  • Xbox 360 controller configuration utility

    Please Mr. Microsoft,
create a Setup utility to better configure the Xbox 360 controller.
I wish I could use triggers separately. Nobody to disturb each other.

    Please, I beg you.

    TKS.

NOTE: I don't want to use such third-party drivers XBCD.

It would help a lot more if you gave the name of the application so we can see where this actually affects gameplay. You don't seem to understand that this chart doesn't display all the data. This problem is specific to the game. Just because the look of the bars as they neutralize each other does not in fact mean they are cancelling or other. He's just here to let you know that it works (im) so you can calibrate if you need to. Would it be useful if they list them as buttons 11 and 12? That's basically all that looks like you're confused about.

So what I just get my XBox 360 wired controller and connect it. Then I loaded Team Fortress 2 and related action LT and RT action

    LT: fire
    RT: jump
     Result: No interference

LT: Voice Chat (not a toggle, you must hold to keep talking)
    RT: fire
    Result: No interference

No sense of interference if I press and hold the TWO BUTTONS at the same time, they will continue to do their actions, then I can also shoot well and jump at the same time and use voice chat and trigger at the same time. It has no neutralizing effect. If there is a problem trying to get the controller to work and it works with most of the other things, then this is the developer for the use of the application to run with the drivers, otherwise you will need to use this third-party application.

EDIT: I will try with Borderlands as well.

So I loaded to the top of Borderlands and that works as well.

    LT: Aim
    RT: fire
Result: no interference hold LT and RT

This is why you must tell us what game you try to play so we can actually help you. The games I've tried seem to work perfectly with this controller so what? an emulator?

  • What I need to download in order to play games on my PC with my Xbox 360 controller? It says I need a system with XP SP1 or SP2, but I have Windows 7. Any thoughts?

    • I already downloaded the patch for xbox 360 controller.
    • Windows 7 is installed, but the error message that appears indicates that I need XP SP1 or SP2.

    Hi SevOmega,

Welcome to Microsoft 7 answers Forum!

The patch you downloaded can support only Windows XP (SP1 or SP2) which is not compatible to your computer since your computer is installed with Win7.

I suggest that you visit the same Web site where you downloaded the patch and download the patch that is suitable for Win7 and check.

  • My Xbox 360 controller is no longer recognized by my computer Windows XP.

Original title: Xbox 360 wired controller connection problem

    OS: Windows XP SP3

When I plug the controller into one of the USB ports on my computer, I don't get the usual noise of (lowbeep-highbeep) USB connection, but instead, I get 3 low beeps in quick succession. I tried the front ports as well as each of the rear ports.

The thin controller in the XBOX 360 and no other USB device works problems of connection. Tested with my iPod, phone, and the mouse. So I'm guessing that excludes a supply problem.

When I uninstall Manager devices (section Xbox 360) devices, then plug it in again, I have same 3 beeps and a bubble telling me that a problem has occurred to install my new hardware, etc.

After this first bubble of 'problem' I get no warning at any time after that I plug, just 3 beeps and a non-working controller.

In addition, in Device Manager, I get this code:
The driver for this device is may be corrupted, or your system may be low on memory or other resources. (Code 3)

    I solved the problem.

    > Device Manager
    > Xbox 360 Controller for Windows
    > Properties
    > Update driver
    > Can't connect to windows update
    > Install from a list or specific location
    > Don't search, I will choose the driver to install

It seems that many people (including me, now) start meeting audio distortion after they plug a Xbox 360 controller for windows on their computer for the first time. I have a headset Audio USB of Dynex Mono, and whenever I try to use the microphone, the sound comes out distorted. Also, when I try to use the earphone to listen to whatever it is that the audio is also flawed.

Did anyone here know what I can do, so I can get the controller and the helmet the two working together in a computer? The headset works fine in another computer.

I have Windows XP Home SP3.

The Xbox controller draw right on the edge for a USB port, putting pressure on all of the USB bus, especially if there are other USB devices. If you get an external USB powered hub to add to your system and plug the controller, you will solve your problem.

I had the same problem with my Creative Labs USB sound card and the Xbox controller at the same time. I picked up a Zonet similar to this (different brand):

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817182168

I plug my controller, keyboard, and mouse dongle in the hub and plug my sound card directly into one of the ports on the back of the PC. Problem solved! I got no sound since problem.

  • Xbox 360 controller not working not not windows 7 (detected in Device Manager, still does not)

    What I have
Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (with the cable that allows you to connect it to the photo that is wired)

    This my problem
I connected the Xbox 360 controller to my pc via the cable, it is detected in Device Manager as 'wireless controller xbox 360 Via play & charge kit.
In respect of game controller does not appear even when you click advance to selected the device it does not always show upward.
I tried to use it TI a game it does not at all.
The rings on the Xbox 360 controller lights when I plug the controller in my pc (even though Device Manager detects a problem with)
When I press the button the controller guide, it just keeps blinking as if it must be syc (but it connect through a wire that shouldn't happen)

I tired using different drivers the same problems, I was installed the drivers off Windows 7 support site exactly the same problem...

I also tried unplugging all the USB devices on my computer and plug the controller Xbox 360 on USB port which are directly mounted on the mother exactly the same problem.

    Up to now NO solution.
Please help me because I think I got tired of everything I can

Unfortunately, this won't work.  The Play and Charge kit connects only up to the actual battery.  Still, the controller connects more wireless.

You would need a wired Xbox 360 controller or Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming receiver that connects to your wireless controller existing.

I don't understand why Microsoft is having this problem all around their own forums, and there is no real solution on their website for their own products. Is someone can you please tell me what I can do? I tried to update this driver countless times and I downloaded various programs and all fail to solve my problem. On my old hardrive he acknowledges as a xbox controller, but on this one, she just a yellow. triangle with exclmation mark in the middle. Help me enjoy my computer on new year please.

  • Publisher cannot connect XBOX 360 controller wireless receiver PC on Windows 7.

I can't connect a XBOX 360 controller to my PC with the receiver wireless on Windows 7 (64-bit). I have correctly installed the driver, and the wireless receiver is recognized by the PC. The problem occurs when I try to connect the controller to the receiver, as do not connect or recognize each other. I press the Connect button on the receiver, then the light starts flashing. I then press and hold the connection button on my controller, which makes the quadrants "search for", but they quickly cease, and instead assign a specific quadrant, all quadrants begin to Flash instead, as before. Nothing seems to work, I have tried to unplug all other USB devices and wireless, connecting the receiver to different USB ports and change the batteries. What should I do now?
