I can't disconnect my comcast email in Firefox, but I can do it in Internet Explorer.

My husband and I have our own e-mail account on the Comcast email. We almost always use Firefox to open it. Suddenly I can't log out of my e-mail account on Firefox. I click on logout and then click on sign in, but electronic mail automatically updates my e-mail account. After disconnecting and clicking on send, it is sometimes said oh oh, "you're not connected." But when I click on connection, instead of giving me the login box it goes straight to my email account open. Just can't get away. When I'm on IE, I can always sign in and out of the two accounts from Comcast without problem.
I use a laptop with Windows 7 or 7XP I think, not sure it is. Thanks for your help.

Try to clear the cookies from this site from Comcast.

'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

If clearing cookies doesn't work, then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete the other files of cookies as cookies.sqlite - journal in the profile folder of Firefox in the case where the cookies.sqlite file has been corrupted.
