  Windows Defender on Windows 7 is only antispyware. It has disabled (to avoid potential conflicts) during the installation of various programs of anti-malware to include (but not necessarily limited to) AVG, McAfee, MSE and Norton.

  So, probably your antivirus product has disabled Windows Defender. If so, you should not try to turn on WD.

  You won't find Win7 drivers for all models again. But you can use most of Vista drivers in Win7.

  However the Toshiba site has some beta drivers, you can try.

  Of course, you find exactly the same L300 series but we laptops L305 listed who are not very different from the European series

  Check that it and maybe they turn on your L300!

  Hi, are all your windows update updates? It will not upgrade your installation of windows unless 8 is up to date. I can simply add any software revisions, it is wise to leave it for a week or two before known problems have been fixed by Microsoft or Apple etc Checkurtech

  I checked the Toshiba website, but unfortunately, it seems that there is no driver for Windows 7 32 bit, only for Windows 7 64-bit.

  But have you tried the 32 bit drivers for Vista? Normally, most of them should work.

  Try the navigation at the given location and check if you are able to open Windows Media Player.
