  Can not get with the old drive - I did a Rep old installtion disk - and I DO not think that this contained the windows and drivers for my DELL.
  But it doesn't! :-/

  How now to install the new HARD drive on my dell? Anyone?

  You can't get the recovery back partition, but what you can do is to use the recovery disk series or usb recovery media that you must have created to 'recover' your laptop to its factory condition.

  I'm a little surprised that as a developer, you are not aware of the benefits of having MSDN or Technet subscriptions. Either you gives access to all OS of Microsoft in ISO format.

  You can buy a recovery disk if you do not have a defined recovery disk.
