  • Where can I get a DVD of recovery for Satellite M70?

    Hello

My friend has a M70 396 and has no recovery disk and can't seem to windows or recovery console.

I tried to him order the CD from the link of media recovery on this site but it is said that they do not have the disks for 2007 models or earlier.

I have a DVD of my own M50, which is a bit older, but has the o/s-I guess that it wouldn't work?

If not, where can I get one from? He got one in the box or he lost so I don't know what to do except buy a Windows CD and do it from scratch but prefer to perform the Toshiba recovery if possible.

    Any help much appreciated!

    CJ

I can imagine authorized in your country service provider has one in archive and can give you for the installation of the OS. If this isn't the case, it is not the end of the world.
For the installation of the OS you can use the Microsoft WXP installation disc. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download at Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads.

    Good luck.

  • I can't get the videos to play on Windows XP. They say that I need codecs to play.

I can't have a single video to play on my Windows XP Machine! They all say that I don't have the codecs to play! I have installed Klite Codec pack awhile back, but recently the codecs will not work! I tried to reinstall Klite Codec Pack, always the same question! I tried to uninstall the Klite Codec Klite Codec Pack Pack, I TRIED EVERYTHING to get my videos to play and then put it back, but they keep saying I don't have codecs! even films made in Windows Movie Maker to say that I don't have the codec! any program, I try to open videos with SAME PROBLEM!

    original title: no codecs work

Though WMP is the only source to view videos in xp, unless another player has been

installed. If you use WMP, open the player, go to tools, tab options, search for it

box "SΘlectionner everything" & check tab reader, chk, the box "connect to internet".

& chk box "automatic download of codecs.

You can get the codecs XP here.  http://catalog.update.Microsoft.com/v7/site/search.aspx?q=Windows%20XP%20codecs

  • Can't get my dvd/cd rom combo to work

I have a dell Inspiron laptop and I deleted a .dll file that I thought was attached to the sonic dvd program, however, was not. It was a system file.  Because I don't know which file it was, I can just download and reinstall.  So now that my dvd/cd drive does not work. It does not appear in my computer. I thought I'd be able to uninstall my dvd player and then reinstall it so reinstall the file system.  Is this correct thinking? If this isn't the case, I have to reinstall windows to get this sys file? I tried to reinstall the driver for the drive but I can't get dells Installer free to work at all.  Its really aggravating.  Why can't I just have the stupid file if I can stick it to the right place.

  • How can I get my dvd player to play blu ray discs.

The software plays fine other DVDs, but won't play Blu Ray. This is the Pavilion dv7 3165 with operating system Windows 7 Premium. I never succeeded with this problem and thought that he would solve with updates...

Download Cyberlink Power DVD10 and save it to the desktop, not in a temporary folder

    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp53001-53500/sp53029.ex

After it's over, do a right click and go to properties and you should see what is in the screenshot.

There has been many problems with software programs of virus blocking critical files in the player (s) Blu - ray. For the most part, disable the antivirus or programs was sufficient, but with McAfee, it had to be completely uninstalled. If at this point, uninstall your antivirus software, no matter what it is, and if there is a special tool required by the developer to uninstall properly, use their tool when it will exist. I know Norton and, possibly, Avira requires an uninstall tool.

Once it is uninstalled restart your laptop and you will get the warning typical of Windows that the world will come to an end to crash, because you do not have an anti virus program on your computer. Just ignore it and continue with the installation of power DVD10, note that it is important that you stay connected to the internet, the software to install correctly. The link is directly from the view of HP it is has no viruses, Trojans etc attached.

After it is done installing, restart your machine. This is important.

After the restart, go to control panel, then Auto Play and make sure power DVD10 is chosen for Blu - ray discs, if it has not been chosen click the menu drop down and choose to do and save the setting. Restart your computer and go back to auto play and make sure that the setting has been saved.

Then, open the drawer of the DVD/Blu-ray with the button on the front of the drawer itself and leave the charge for Blu - ray automatically with the opening of Cyberlink DVD 10

At this point, you can reinstall your anti virus software if the drive Blu - ray continues to work then you will have to go into the advanced settings and find which files are blocked in the drive and let them. It's not always easy, so I advise to use ESET (not free) or Microsoft Security Essentials (free). I have used in the past and they never gave me any problems with my Blu - ray players.
