Hello
No saving necessary data and re-installing Windows Vista might be the best option, but here
are a few others. You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd disk (best) or external
Drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD or other USB drives.
Of course a real store of the computer or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files.Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.A method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure) is CTRL +.
ALT + DELETE - Manager tasks and tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - and then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is available by
repeatedly tapping F8 as you start. CTRL + SHIFT + ESC also begins the Task Manager.First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.

I had to do a full system recovery on my computer with Vista. Towards the end of installation screen is frozen on a blue screen which says that it was a single configuration screen and to ignore the messages etc. other than those who might ask you to restart. This form has remained for more than 1 hour and a half before I dared to think that there might be frozen by pressing Ctrl-alt-delete and then cancel I could get the desktop to appear how I was responsible for approving some updates, more than 90 more. Half of these updates failed, but future attempts had succeeded re installation. Now everytime I restart the computer, it goes back to the original blue single please wait screen. I can go out with Ctrl-alt-delete. I also tried Microsoft Fix - It and the sfc/scannow not detected no problems. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you. Susan

How can I get the opening for an enlarged screen screen
If you are talking about an Internet Explorer page, three options.
1: take the corners of the window and drag it to the format full screen. Do not use to expand. Close all other windows first via the taskbar and the latter. Windows will remember the size of the last closed window the next time that you open the program.
2: any shortcut you use to launch the window, right-click, and select Properties. Under the 'Run' drop-down list, choose "expanded".

Can't get out of subscription screen to try for free Revel
When I connect to the application of Revel, using my id and password, the only screen I get is the screen asking me to subscribe for a fee. I thought that I could upload up to 50 photos per month for free. How can I get out of the box subscription, in the free app to start trying to download photos?
If you use the application, first try to exit the application and start it again, log in again and see if it helps. If this is not the case, delete the app and reinstall it. Start, connection and let me know if it works.

My iMac opens on the purchased applications and I can't get out
MY iMac has opened on my purchased apps page and I can't get out, there is not even an icon I can close with, help please
Hello, Debraspace!
Looks like you have a few problems out out of the section of the App Store on your Mac purchase. I know that this is not a fun experience when the software does not work as expected, but not to worry, we can help you get this issue with the App Store sorted.
The easiest and fastest, way to address problems with the gel on your Mac applications should start by forcing this app to close, and then reopen. To force the App Store to close, follow these steps:
To close an application normally, choose leave in the application menu in the menu bar, or press command-Q. If an application does not respond, you can force it to close it using the Force to leave:
- Choose force quit from the Apple menu, or press Command-Option-Esc.
This is to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete on a PC. - Select the application does not respond within the window to leave, then click on force quit.
Force a nearby application on your Mac.
If the App Store always gives you problems after the reopening, force quit the application again. Hold down the SHIFT key while you open the App Store once more. Now shift while opening an application on your Mac temporarily that will prevent the app to reopen its documents and windows. If the problem persists for now, the best next step would simply restart your Mac. To do this, select the in the upper left corner of your screen, then select "restart."
Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.
Take care!
- Choose force quit from the Apple menu, or press Command-Option-Esc.

I am just an ordinary computer user and do not have a great understanding of the technical side of things.
After a lot of blue screens, I did a fresh install of xp family. I installed avast anti virus and then made sure that windows update was. Then I tried in vain to download SP2, the fix for SP3 and AMD. Without these, it seems, I can't get the needed updates.
I'd appreciate if someone could give me English simple, easy to understand solutions or, links to click on who would control the repairs or whatever it is that is missing.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hello
This AMD patch you were talking in your original question? I'm not aware of all the other fixes AMD (but this does not mean there is one, are not my knowledge is not encyclopedic!).
Windows Update no longer works unless you have installed SP3. SP3 should be able to be installed from the link I provided above, but I would like to uninstall IE8 first and then re-install later.

How can I get the Basic for Windows Media Player codec pack?

It works very well for some videos (like those recorded uncompressed, or some codecs) but a single codec that I save it as coming out of Sony Vegas (Windows Media video V11) goes green screen with playback of the sound. How can I get the basic for 64-bit Windows Media Player codec pack? It worked perfectly for several years now on this machine. Suddenly, it does not work. Last time that I used it very well if a few months ago.

What changes have been made recently to the computer?
Have you tried a system restore to a time before this problem?

Can't get the driver for 32-bit windows 7 HP DeskJet 5440 via windows update.
Original title: driver HP DeskJet 5440 windows 7 32 bit
I was unable to get the driver for 32-bit windows 7 HP DeskJet 5440 via windows update. I also was unbale to find your compatibility Center. Is there a link were I can down-load the driver directly from.
Tony,
In fact, I assumed that yours was always supported by HP * but I understand now that it's not [so I guess that it is more than 10 years because it is their general support period]. {* Mine is a DJ 2540 and is only a few years so I thought a 5440 DJ must be more recent}
I see that HP gives you general instructions on installing drivers in http://support.hp.com/gb-en/product/hp-deskjet-5440-printer-series/445466/model/445467/document/c01796879/ I checked Microsoft update catalog service and nothing found for HP Deskjet 5440, that's why you're not having any success with the generic instructions, giving you these instructions seem to presuppose the existence of a Windows driver for this specific model. {HP must have given up your specific model before that this catalogue has been compiled, because hardware manufacturers are those that connect to their drivers inside}
However, my suggestions may solve your problem or maybe not. They are simply the steps that seem more likely to be successful. Personally, I'd a system image before you try each of these suggestions so that you can go back to square one if something goes terribly wrong.
Suggestion 1 - go to the devices & Printers dialog box, click Add a printer, select HP then select HP Deskjet 5400 series [the sequence in the list is awkward, this entry is about 10% of the way to the bottom of the list], click on Next and follow the procedure of menus at its conclusion. Even if it's completely successful, plan to run my Suggestion 4 below as well in case of future need.
Suggestion 2 - out whatever the driver that shipped with your printer in the first place, try to install in compatibility mode [right click on its executable, click on the tab compatibility , the value of the check box for run this program in compatibility mode for... and select a BONE the printer worked correctly with.] Then go to the executable, right-click and select run as administrator. This idea is not frivolous, until he blew something internally, I was using my 1999/2000 HP Deskjet 1220C successfully on Windows 7 x 64 for four years [despite the HP user forums which implies that this was not possible].
Suggestion 3 - go back to the HP site to http://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-5440-printer-series/445466/model/445467 but select 10 Windows as your operating system. In the result
s, the Diagnostics Utility Tools point contains now a setup generic [hppiw.exe] who described "HP for Windows printer setup wizard was created to help users Windows 10 download and install the software solution most appropriate for their printer and newer HP HP Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1. Simply run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions. " Download & run [run as Admin] of this file.Suggestion 4 - Connect to an Admin-level account first, then, using IE [there than IE], date back to the Microsoft update service catalog and search for HP Deskjet 5400 series. It will give a lot of results, then click on the driver name in the left column of title to see details for each potential choice [especially if it is 32 or 64 bit]. The top of the list is [32-bit] Microsoft Update for HP Deskjet 5400 Series driver dated June 21, 2006. [You might also download & file the second element, the 64-bit version, just in case you change computers in the future] Add the chosen driver [s] to the "trash" then download - you will be asked to select a file to download first {it is at this stage that the process would be a break without further explanation or any error if you had not been connected to an Admin-level account before launching IE}. I think that these drivers also work with Windows 10 thus, in the hope that your printer works for the years to come, it would be well worth your copies of maintenance of them filed there ready for your next computer use.
Proposal 5 - go [back] to the forums of user HP Deskjets & find 5440. See if any of the other suggestions can help you - unless you have already looked through them all the more relevant [I realize that you have been here once already as one of the threads that I just watched was of you].
We know, in advance, which of these suggestions will lead to the best possible solution. So please come back to this forum to explain what happened when you tried the. Your experiences will benefit all users of HP Deskjet 5440 who come here looking for advice.
Good luck
