• Why I can't import exported TB LiveMail files?

  You can use the instructions below, but it can help you to change the column headers in your .csv recorded file to match these headers used in Thunderbird. Any .csv file can be opened by using for example: Excel. See this link for a list of the used column headers:

Now, I find that the tool does not reset the window to its original size. All mail messages to fill the screen.   Put the expand top-right button (in the middle) I so a big place and not two small squares. Now, drag the window to the size you want. Close all other windows, first of all, including those who are reduced to a minimum to the taskbar and the resized window last. Windows will remember the size of a window as long as it's the last closed.

• How can I get Outlook 2007 to read attachments and .eml files?

  I'm a web developer, working from home.  Many of my clients tell me through programs such as Yahoo Messenger and Skype conversation.  Often, they send messages to an end-user for me on yahoo or Skype which are .eml files.  These files describe bugs or other mistakes which experienced end users.

  I don't understand why I can't read the 'eml' files in Outlook 2007.  Currently, windows 2007 wants to use windows live mail to open these files.

  Is there an add-on third party who will give this feature in Outlook 2007?

  I solved the problem for users of 64-bit Windows 7 and Vista 64-bit users

  (1) Open regedit.exe (the registry editor)
  2) access HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Microsoft Internet Mail Message WLMail\shell\open\command
  (3) change "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Windows Live\Mail\wlmail.exe" /eml:%1 to "C:\Program Files (x 86)" \Microsoft Office\Office12\OUTLOOK. "» EXE' /eml '%1' (don't forget the quotes!)
  (4) restart your computer

  In this way, windows thinks that "Windows Live Mail" is still the default program to open .eml files.  However, we have changed the registry so that instead of open Windows Live Mail, we open OUTLOOK. EXE.  What I mean is that if you open Control Panel, click default programs associated with Windows Live Mail .eml files, we have decked out the registry so that it will open opportunities-even if Windows has always said that it is associated with Windows Live.  Confusing, I know.

  The best analogy are these old commercials where "we secretly changed detergent Lisa's favorite new all temperature Cheer!  In this case we secretly changed Windows Live Mail with Outlook when it comes to open .eml attachments.

  In any case, this tip worked for me.  I can open the .eml simply files by double-clicking them.  You can always change things if you decide to upgrade to Windows Live.

  Is there a way we can import a package of the existing dump file.

  You can do it from an existing Data Pump dump file, but not to an old dumpfile exp/IMP.

  There are 2 ways to do it. Both have been listed here.

  1 sqlfile option. sqlFile = pkgs.sql Impdp and use include = package_body..., then consult the file pkgs.sql to find packages you want.

  2 include = package_body: "in (" PKGA","PKGB").

  You can use #2 as part of the sql (#1) file, if you want to make your smaller .sql file.

  Hi, I have downloaded and deleted all my gmail accounts. I have the files .mbox for each account. Basically, I want to be disconnected for a while but wanted to make sure I had an account of my email incase there is a recipe for something I need in the future. I actually don't like all my private emails all maintained online. So I have Thunderbird to store all mail from all of my accounts. I like to keep the thunderbird and all of my emails on my laptop and main computer. Is this possible? Thanks Jen.

  p.s. Someone else said I should have / could have used e-mail for mac? I love Thunderbird however if these functions are possible. Still, I do not wish to go online in the future or to collect all mail accounts will no longer exist, different from the empty account set up specifically to start Thunderbird.

  There is an easy way and a little more a path.

  The easy way is to define a computer (server settings, once again) to leave messages on the server.

  Then the other on the value up to download and delete them off the server.

  This will require a coordinating appropriate on your part. If you download and delete on the PC and that removes the server off, then you can get them on your laptop without some to file copy.

  I'm fairly new to LR and have TONS of files in a main folder on Vista.  These files have duplicate names, some have been taken with the digital camera of early gen as well as more recent files with my 40 d. But import each folder and subfolder 1 will both take 1 million years.  Here is basically what I want to do.

  (1) import all photos (probably about 6-8 thousand) at a time

  2) pass through these photos and mark thus get rid of the obviously crappy pictures that I'll never do anything with it, kill the dupes

  (3) tag Meta as much as I can

  4) export to a new foler

  First I place them in a single master folder, where you want your photos of LR to reside. The use of import in place, and "do not import duplicates" checked. This will make your job a little easier, hopefully.
