• Migrate emails from Outlook 2003 to Windows 7 Live Mail - without using OE6

  I upgraded that computer from Vista to Windows 7 64 bit. I have decided to switch from Outlook 2003 to Windows Live Mail, but cannot find a way to export my old mails from Outlook to WinMail. I read it online through Outlook Express 6 as an intermediary, but when I tried, it turns out that you can not install OE6 on a 64-bit computer.

  So I am at a loss. How can I move my old mails from Outlook 2003 to WinMail?

  You are welcome!  Outlook Express is part of Windows XP, so do not install it.  Here are the highlights:

  1. start Outlook, import the .pst file, quit Outlook.
  2. start Outlook Express, import messages from Outlook, close Outlook Express.
  3. copy the Outlook Express store folder in Windows 7.  To find its location, click Tools > Options > maintenance > store folder .
  4. start Windows Live Mail, import messages from the Outlook Express store folder.

  I think that this will pick up all accounts.

• Address book disappeared and can not open/send email from Outlook Express 6

  KB911567 and KB917288 describe the problem exactly, however, problem with the display resolution.

  I can't find 911567 security update uninstall.  There is just no Spuninst.exe not associated with this update and it does not appear in Add / Remove programs.

  Is there another solution or is this a different problem?

  All of you who have the same cause.  Something is screwed up with your address book.

  It could be several specific problems, which include:
  -corrupted WAB file
  -damaged or incompatible DLL files for the addressbook
  -have OE set to use the Outlook98 / 2000 + contacts instead of the WAB
  folder and there is something wrong at the end of Outlook

  Anyone know how to transfer old emails and contacts in outlook 2003 on xp computer to a new computer using windows live mail on windows 7.  Unit XP will not let me copy the PST to outlook, continued to give me 'path not found' or something like that.  Nothing on the new computer (windows 7) seems to be able to read pst file.

  I don't think that Windows Live Mail would be able to import data from the OL If OL has not been installed on Win7 computer.

  Reset IE as default value even if it already seems that is first, and then restart it.

  You may have a damaged identity especially if it's the default main identity. File | Identities | Add the new identity. Create a new one and try it. If all goes well, you can import your messages and address book from the old identity and delete it.

• Today I can't send the email from my Mac, the iPhone and the iPad fine

  When I try to send emails on my Mac, I am now prompted for my password. I enter the password and it tells me "failed to verify the account name or password." I can always continue to send emails without problem from my iPhone / iPad.

  When I run the connection doctor, I see that I connect very well in IMAP, but not SMTP - "trying to connect to this account SMTP failed." Verify that the user name and password are correct "-which I am sure also that I can be, they are."

  I set up two step check recently, could he be bound. It seems to work very well, I have my phone and iPad, set up as secure devices and when I want to connect to iCloud.com for example, I get the code on my phone without problem.

  I use iCloud standard mail and I can connect to everything I can think of with my iCloud password so I am sure that the username of the account and the password are correct.

  OK, all fixed. Didn't know that I had to create a specific password app, even though it says "Use a specific app password during registration to an application or a service that is not provided by Apple." OSX app and iCloud mail are services from Apple!
