• I can't open anything that uses Windows Explorer...

  I just installed Office 2007 and now I can't open anything that uses Windows Explorer. This includes the trash, all files and folders, same control panel. The only things I seem to be able to run correctly are programs. When I try to open anything, I get a popup window stating "Windows Explorer...". (Not responding) "and it will remain forever as this very pretty. After some clicking, it will inform me that Windows Explorer has stopped responding and that I can force close, waiting, etc.

  I can't open all the products of the 2007 Office Suite that I just installed but I can't delete them either, since I don't have access to these files in the Panel.   1. when exactly do you get this error message? Is the windows startup?

  2. is there a printer installed?

  3. What is the full error message you get?

  4 did you recent hardware or changes to the software of the system?

  Method 1:

  You can try the following steps and check if it helps.

  a. Click Start, Type system32 in the search bar, and then press ENTER.

  b. right-click on the Winspool.drv file and then click Rename.

  c. Type winspool.drv.old and press ENTER.

  d. restart the computer

  For more information, you can consult the following article:

  Note: (article is for Windows XP but it is also valid for Windows Vista).

  Method 2:

  Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

  After doing some research on your question, I found several different solutions. Not all of the work for all the world. I will list what I found for you.

  S ' ownership of the folder

  Appropriating the folder they are in, check your permissions (if there are special permissions have an eye on them). See if the folder inherits permissions from parent folders, make sure that the folder is accessible also.

  -Unlock

  Right-click on the file you want to open.

  Click on properties.

  On the general tab, at the end of the window, you should be able to see a security like this option: Security: this file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer.

  Click the Unlock button.

  Click on apply.

  -Uninstall the component of enhanced Internet Explorer security

  You can disable the security of Internet Explorer in the registry:
  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zonemap
  In the Details pane, right-click IEHarden, click on edit, type 0 (zero) in the value data box, and then click OK.

  So I upgraded to 10 Windows in Windows 7.  This wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have Windows Live Family Safety Service.  Now all that has blocked the standard user can't open at all. There is no error message or anything.  If I tried to open Google Chrome, nothing happens.  Also, new Microsoft applications like photo, music, store, etc. open then close immediately.  I can open only applications that where released before. I launch applications in admin mode to open.  What can I do to allow these applications to run again?

  This is so how this harrible problem started, my dear friend sent me a picture of something he would do, I couldn't open it with paint. So I disided to see what that my sujuested of the computer, no there wasn't that one thing, ITunes, so I said why not?   I guess that you had deleted Trojans now?

  Question:
  Is this account that you have problem with an administrator account on ?

  (1) if so, can you create another Admin account?
  So yes even once, when you have a new Admin account, connect to it. Use this new administrator and DELETE the former admin.

  (2) if the answer is no and that it's only a user account, then it's even more simple.
  Login to your Admin account, remove this user account.
