I can't open links in websites or e-mail
It's very simple, I can't open links in emails and Web sites. When I click a white window opens and the cursor is spinning and I waited five minutes and nothing opens. Thank you for your help.
Hi michaelyork899,
Two programs running main antivirus/security at the same time is an absolute
should not do. They interfere with each other, cause strange problems, and
in fact lower security levels. Even the remains of one can cause those
problems.
Uninstall one and then run its creator removal tool to avoid leftovers. MSE
Uninstalls clean. For Norton and others, you should check with their support and

I can't open or save attachments in e-mail.
I can't open or save attachments in e-mail. I have windows Vista 32 bit with Trend Micro Security and IE9. It started last week. I made no changes to the system. I searched all the newspapers of the community on this subject without success (it would be useful if it were in chronological order, so I could see more recent issues and resolutions. How can I recover from this serious problem that won't let me record/opening attached. I'm getting desperate.
Hello
You have access to the email that you are unable to download attachments from Internet Explorer or via an e-mail client? If it is a mail client, please let us know what email client you use.
Method 1: make sure that you do have the option not to save the pages encrypted on the disc is activated. You can enable/disable this option as follows:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click on Tools
- Click on Internet Options
- Click the Advanced tab
- Enable or disable the option not to save the pages encrypted on the disc
- Click OK
- Close Internet Explorer
- Open Internet Explorer
Method 2: Try to reset the settings of Internet Explorer 9.
Note: The feature reset the Internet Explorer settings can reset security settings or privacy settings that you have added to the list of Trusted Sites. Reset the Internet Explorer settings can also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the reset Internet Explorer settings.
Please post back if you have any questions about Windows. I will be happy to provide you with the additional options that you can use to get the problem resolved.

I can't open links in google search using Firefox.
I can open the links when I search with Bing or Yahoo and Google looking for work when I use IE, so it's only when I use Google with Firefox. Also, if I try to open links in a new tab, I get error 404. For example, if I try to open bbc.co.uk/news from the search page it does not do anything, if I try to open it in a new tab I get Error 404 and this string in the address bar: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t & rct = j & q = & esrc = s & source = web & cd = 1 & cad = AJLN & uact = 8 & ved = 0CB4QFjAAahUKEwjEzpKmif3IAhUM9GMKHQZeClQ & url = http %3 has % 2F % www.bbc.com%2Fnews 2F, & usg = AFQjCNFZIG7IKy3foMCFY0dzRExKv9KjFQ
I tried refreshing Firefox and disabling add-ons; I don't know what else to do.
I have Windows 10, if this has something to do with the problem.
You can try to delete the files (extensions.json and extensions.ini) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created if necessary.
See "extension corrupted files:
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/unable+to+install+add-ons
If you see disabled extensions or is not compatible in "Firefox button/Tools menu > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button at the left end of the search bar to check if there is an update available compatibility.
If that didn't help then also delete the addons.json file and the file prefs.js reset setting pref of the extension of the Protection of Kaspersky.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

I can't open links in a new tab and my search bar does not work
I can't open some links in a new tab.
When I right click on the menu displays the "open in a new tab" function but when I click on it nothing happens.
Some links open in a new tab when I click on it directly, and I can open images in Google image in a new tab, but most of the time that it does not.
I already disabled modules and is currently in safe mode, but it's always the same.
In addition, nothing happens when I enter a search in the bar of Firefox search and hits ENTER. I can't even change the search engine to this topic.

Thank you
It's called the problem after you have uninstalled Chrome. It is ultimately a default browser related issue; There are different 'cure', but none exactly foolproof. Here are some of the threads I have my favorites:

Suddenly, I can't open links in emails!
OK, so without changing ALL the settings I can not suddenly open links in emails sent to me, nor do I insert hyperlinks in emails, I'm composing. I am the system administrator, and it is my laptop with no other users. It started several weeks ago, but now the frequency has increased to where I can't open a link in a new take. The screen flashes, but nothing happens. I've tried Google Chrome, and this problem does not occur in another browser, so I guess this isn't my CPU, or security software. I use Avast and Malware Malbytes. I won't change to Firefox! Help!
You must do a little more troubleshooting to determine the cause; as explained in this section of this safe mode support page.
The problem does not occur in Mode safe
If the problem does not occur in Mode without fail, it is likely due to an acceleration of the extension, theme or material.
See Troubleshooting extensions and themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems for solutions.

After updating Firefox to the latest version 37.0.2 I can't open all the hyperlinks my gmail or other sites. Could you help me please?
Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:
- Click the menu button
click Help
then select restart with disabled modules.
If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:
- On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
- On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."
If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

Outlook express does not open links on web pages e-mail
Is no longer, I can click on a link of e-mail on any web page and that my outlook express open (6) upwards to compose new e-mail messages. Does not open upward. Copy and paste is a poor solution band-aid if e-mail link name is different e-mail real address (often).
I think that an update of firefox (firefox8) may have disabled this... only guess. Hyperlinks to other web page still work. Just impossible to open link in email that opens my outlook express 6 to create new message and puts in e-mail address in the 'To' line up.These also work: www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspx and www.oehelp.com/ielnk.aspx and www.oehelp.com/oelnk.aspx
