I can't open PDFs in the browser, even if I installed an add-on.
I downloaded the add-on for Firefox cloud Viewer on my tablet. I am under Android 4 (ICS). I need to be able to open PDF files directly in the browser window, because the site does not allow me to download the file and open in an independent Viewer. Is it possible to do this in Firefox?
There is no way to do it on Android in Firefox or another browser. Adobe doesn't have a browser plugin for Adobe Reader.

I am running Acrobat Pro DC, and I can view is no longer a PDF through Internet Explorer 11. I already follow the recommended steps (make sure that the add-in is enabled), but whenever I click on a PDF link, Acrobat opens and asks me the file to open and the screen in IE goes gray. The only way I can open a PDF on the internet is to save it, and then open it in Acrobat.
Hi Lisa,
Just try him even after installing Acrobat Reader DC application.
Thank you

I have a document that is stored on the server. A link is sent to multiple users, and when you open the file it opens in the browser. It shows the Annotations menu but all options are disabled. When the file is opened on the application Adobe Reader XI allows you to use annotations.
I use Windows 7 and IE 10.
Somethings you have to do in the Reader not the plug-in application.

Hello; I was always able to open PDFs from the web without saving them first. Today (15/05/2015), I got a notice that an update was available for acrobat. I downloaded, updated and rebooted the system, everything went well, but now I can't open pdf from the web. I can open only so if I register the first and then open the saved file. Can anyone help? Adobe offers me no support by phone for this product.
Thank you

I have recently switched to Firefox to Google Chrome, and I find that I can't open all PDFs from the web in some way in Firefox. I can't download them and open them in Adobe Reader and I can't preview them in Firefox, or I can use the plugin from Adobe. I tried to use the solutions posed by users on this site, but none of them have worked. Whenever I have an amendment to the settings to try to resolve this problem, change never allows me to view the pdf file, and the setting reverts to the previous setting after the browser is restarted. I don't like how to display the file, but I need to be be able to see a preview or I need to be able to download it.
I use an adobe download add-on, 3.0.0.2, and I have disabled. Now, I can actually open pdf files in my browser shows a preview, or download them as I see fit. Thank you!
But clearly, there is an error with the add-on.

It's VERY frustrating. I can't open PDF files without having to enter my serial number Adobe Creative Suite. I know not why this happens because the reader is a free product and should not have an affiliation with paid products, such as Creative Suite. Help, please!
In other words, NOT with the Adobe Acrobat which is part of Creative Suite. If you can no longer use Creative Suite, it might be as well to uninstall.

Could not open the PDF outside the browser without "Save as" dialog box.
Hello
We have currently upgraded Acrobat 8 standard, Acrobat 10.1.6. On our old version of Acrobat, when we unchecked the option in the preferences - Internet - view the PDF in the browser, it would open files in a new window, Acrobat.
With X installed, we don't seem to have this option more. Things turn one of the two following ways:
Display in browser checked = PDF is displayed in the browser (IE9)
Uncontrolled browser display = save as dialog box appears when you click the link in the browser
It doesn't seem to be the solution we front aircraft, where there is enough to open the file in a new window, Acrobat.
Are there any settings that would back this expected behavior of my user?
Thanks in advance,
John
Hello
Browsers are evolving so quickly (a few months) it was impossible to keep this work in all browsers. The setting is left as is his preference of registry.
There is a cmd line property that works. See the Administrator's Guide: www.adobe.com/go/acrobatetk.

I can't open PDFs in Firefox - I get a gray screen stating "this plugin is vulnerable and needs to be updated". I go to updates for Fixit and the link takes me to things that I don't understand. I've been using Foxit Reader and this is my default player. I have no problem with Internet Explorer it works very well, it's just with Firefox which I prefer by far apart from this problem.
I changed FixIt as my AVG Free software was telling me there is a problem with Adobe Reader XI (11.0.01) and so I got feed with it I deleted Adobe from my computer
I had several suggestions to support Foxit, but nothing seems to work.
I have reset Firefox by default given parameters always get the same message.
Help, pleaseHi - Thanks for that - I just did a reinstall of Fixit as you mentioned, and the problem is always the same.
I want to emphasize that I had five support proposals Fixit (yours being a) that I made and still the same problem. They're still trying to get out.
I checked the internet and it seems I'm not the only one, but nobody seems to have the answer. Which makes me wonder if it could be a setting on the computer. But then why is there a problem with IE. -

I can't open PDF files sent through emails?
I get a message 'Acrobat X 1 Pro Trial a expiré' I didn't know that I was using a trail?
What I pay a subscription for?
I checked your account details for the same ID you use here on the forums.
You bought subscription Adobe PDF package that is why you are unable to open a PDF file.
You should perhaps install Adobe Reader (free software) or buy a subscription to open a PDF Acrobat DC file.
Let me know what you want so that I can offer others.
Kind regards
Ana Maria
