I can't reinstall a game after that I had a few problems to uninstall.

From: 7455green

Recently, I uninstalled a game (using the uninstall program) and if l could say uninstall went well, all files have been removed etc. However, to install the game again l have found my PC still think that the game is installed (it always appears under programs and features). I can't select install on the autorun of the CD, l have also tried manually looking at the files on the CD and selecting "setup" but this requires just an uninstall program that makes no difference. Selection to remove the program from the programs and features also makes no difference. I tried everything listed on the windows help site and couldn't find anything that worked, and the developer has no information on this subject.  Basically is it a way of saying to my PC that l've already uninstalled the game? Or anything left that could be telling my PC otherwise?

I use Vista Home Premium and the game is Baldur's Gate 2

See you soon!

Will probably have to delve into the registry editor, look for entries of Baldur's Gate and remove them. I won't tell you how, because, well, it's dangerous.

You can try a program called ccleaner.

http://www.CCleaner.com
It should detect that there is registration for BG2 on your system, even if the game has disappeared and remove these erroneous entries.

Just look at yourself, I recommend usually modify your registry.

Oh, before you do this, run the system restore and click on the link to "open the System Protection", then create a restore point in case where you mess up something.

GL!
