  First of all, to return the active profile on screen of laptop for sRGB and at least, you'll see images even without a profile of the manufacturer. I don't think you get a decent profile of the manufacturer of the laptop computer in any case.

  You can profile the laptop LCD as well. If you need to do some serious work, you. There is at least one things to know when calibrating an LCD laptop. All the laptop I know changing the brightness of the LCD screen according to the current power. You definitely want to turn that off, other wise you calibration is worthless.

• When "allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above" is not checked in the menu options, I can't see images on Web sites. How can I maintain with the box unchecked and always display images?

  I recently decided to spend autour colours in Firefox. I work in a fairly dark environment and have the dark color on white or light background text is quite difficult on my eyes in the dark.

  I changed the background to a dark gray, light gray text and visited the two and links not visited in a blue light. With these changes, I unchecked the "allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above" box.

  After unchecking the box, I'm more able to display images on many sites. Turn all grey images - as if Firefox has changed their image in part of the background. When I check the box, I am able to see fine pictures, however, Web sites typically return to their light background with dark text.

  Any help and assistance with this is greatly appreciated!

  You can use the NoSquint extension to define the font size (zoom text/page) and colors of text on web pages.

• Can't see images on web pages

  Probably, I feel a bit stupid when I learn the answer, but here goes!

  Since the purchase of a new computer laptop on Vista, I find that a lot of web pages load with the little red cross in a square instead of the images. This only seems to happen with XP.

  Could someone tell me which of many safety features in Vista I should turn off to see these images?

  So, try these things like turn off the windows firewall and use a replacement or change some settings in your IE Explorer.
  A good choice would be to try to "Mozilla Firefox" (http://www.mozilla-europe.org) and be happy if it´s works perfectly.

• Can't see images in FF or IE

  I'm new and not high heat :-), but I try.

  I did very well with almost everything that I reached the end and began to add navigation buttons in a menu bar. The rest of the images in the header, the header background and the bottom of page work fine.

  The top image, it's what looks like a test page in Dreamweaver. The blue menu bar is simple rollover images with two identical graphics with different colors.  Lower responses button is simply a single chart, as well as images of logo VRI.

  

  The next two pictures show them in Firefox (left) and IE (right) the two current versions. Note that the logo in the top left corner in the header displays properly.

  Now the kicker. When I create a new page in the original model, it still looks like the top image in Dreamweaver, but when in Firefox (left) or IE (right), it looks like this.

  This is AFTER I tr4ied to use widgets spry CS6 "menu" that comes with the package of Dreamweaver. I gave up on those who, although they would have been better to use. Even though I took care to select "Horizontal" there was lines of unique text on the left side of the page with no menu structure, graphics or color except the background color of menu bar.

  What have I done wrong? How can I fix it?

  It could be a problem of the file path.  If the images are pointing on files: / / / to your local hard drive, no one can see them except you.

  They all fit the images in your local site.

  Needless to say, you need to download the images on your server, or no one will see them.

  In the Template.dwt your path might look like this:<img src="../images/logo.jpg">

  While in the child page, your path might look like this without zero points and oblique:

  You need to calibrate your screen with a hardware calibration device. Whatever you have set as default is broken when it comes to Lightroom.

  As a workaround, you can remove your default monitor profile. (Control Panel/Color Management)  It will allow you to see your images, but that won't really accurate colors.

  Here's a possibility... go to... Start ORB / Control Panel.
  Folder options / tab / files and folders / uncheck
  "Always show icons, never thumbnails" / apply / OK.

  When email with photos arrive in my mailbox 7/Live Windows that they can not be seen.  Of course, I can always click on the link above, which allows me to see photos buy jeeze, what a pain.  Sounds like another lame attempt at protection against M/s?

• Can't see image Simulator in the Simulator window

  I have the eclipse plugin and when I run an app in the Simulator, simulator window appears and it is empty.  I use the Edit-> copy instant camera and then 'paste' in the painting and the image of the phone rises.  I looked around and I can't find another post with this problem, so any help would be appreciated.

  My brother asked me to try to fix his computer. It's Windows XP, so I plugged my drive external HARD to his pc and copy and pasted all his images and documents he wanted saved. But when I plugged my computer on Windows 7 just to make sure everything works in my HARD drive, something did not.

  I see the folders that I created on the HARD drive, but when I opened them, they are empty. What I am doing wrong?

  I also copy and paste from my external DRIVE to my computer drive and it installs on a gig of data, but still when I opened the folder they are empty. So I know they are on here somewhere, they're just invisible for a reason any.

  It may be interesting to try to change the following setting:

  For - Windows XP

  Reach... Control Panel / folder Options / View tab.
  ... To check "Show the hidden files and folders" / apply / OK.

  For - Windows 7:

  Reach... Button start / Control Panel / appearance
  and customization / Folder Options / Advanced
  settings / display files, folders, and disks / OK

• Can't see images I open in CS6. OpenGL problem?

  I have used to have this problem from time to time with CS5, but do not know why it was only occasionally. I don't see any image format that I open in CS6. The file opens fine - no error message - and then the screen is just blank. This used to be a tool for editing > Preferences > Performance problem, where I would uncheck activate the Open GL drawing and everything has been corrected. But there is no such box in this new version.

  I tried: Open > Preferences > performance and changed advanced settings of drawing Mode = normal. But no result.

  There is always a separate drivers for the GPU and GPU.

  Go to the GPU manufacturers website and get the latest drivers.  Follow the signs (sometimes you need to uninstall the old drivers first) to install the new driver.  Do not go to Microsoft or system integrator for the pilots (they are generally years behind).

• the imported catalog files now can not see images

  I hope that I'm not completely kidding upward. I was looking for information on a bunch of missing photos metatag and I clicked on one of the files of pictures > Lightroom files on my hard drive. Now when I open LR all I see are a bunch of empty frames (with icons of exposure but setting no image). How to get back to where I was before I clicked on this issue? I have use the importation of LR, just clicked on the file on my hard drive.

  It is not so easy to help you if you don't answer the questions more precisely.

  If you accidentally open a backup catalog, then all previes should still show but you miss your imports and changes since the last backup. Make sure you use the correct catalog, more up-to-date.

  General rule: do all file/folder changes in LR not in Explorer.
