  You can downgrade to v3.6.16 by downloading it from here: Download Firefox v3.6.16

  Uninstall the current version via Add/Remove Programs choose to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc. Then, restart and run the Setup file downloaded.

  Maybe you can consult the manual for your HP laptop. There could be a combination of keys inadvertently, you turned on is causing the problem.

  What questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode. Have you tried? If it works properly in this configuration, one of your modules is the culprit, but judging by what you wrote, I don't think in this case somehow special.

  I used Hotmail and Google Chrome on the front, send and receive emails and attachments without any problems until recently.

  Lately, trying to send a few family photos (no message) I got the following error message:

  The resolution might be set to high.  Go to your video settings, and lower it to the creation of MMS and see if it works. Video sharing size is 176 x 144, so it should work for MMS too.

  I have a family member in Belgium who is on his deathbed, and his lawyer called me to ask I send an email from my computer in order to fax or scan paperwork.
  
  
  He gave me the following email & I called back 3 times to make sure that I understand, because he came back as "undeliverable".

  The delivery status Notification (DSN) that you receive will tell you why the message could not be delivered. Different servers use different methods to provide a nondelivery report (NDR); It may be in the displayed part of the DSN or sent as an attachment (often with the *.dat extension), or you may need to see the message source to find. Looking for a line beginning Code of diagnosis.

  If the NDR is an attachment, open it with Notepad to read. If you do not see a nondelivery report anywhere, select the DSN message in the list and press Ctrl-F3 to reveal the source of the message. Look carefully for the Code of diagnosis in a section called something like Content-Type: message/delivery status. If you do not understand it, post here if someone can help you interpret.

  I recently bought a MacBook Pro (mid-2015).  I used the Migration Assistant to migrate files to my MBP (mid-2010) and had no problems.  I found on my MBP, I can't send messages with attachments.  When I try to send a message, I get the following popup, "this message contains attachments that are still loading.  Please wait for the accessory complete and try again. "The attachment that I tried to send was about 570K in size, not very big.  I even let sit all night and when I tried to send the message the next day, I received the same message.  I noticed that when this happens, I have to kill Mail to get out the message.  Whenever I try to close the message or save it in the project, I got the same popup.  Which is weird, I can send the same message with an attachment from my old MBP.  These two MBP running Sierra.  I have checked the Interwebs and ran across an article talking about the Mail option rebuild.  I ran it without change in my number.  I also removed the email account and re added without success.  I have Setup email for Gmail and Comcast.

  Thoughts?

  I ended up contact the Apple Support and after reset memory and several reboots, my problem with attachments is solved.

  If I understand correctly, you cannot send mail because the send icon is no longer visible.  I know how important email is and I'm happy to help you!

  Very probably the send sort icon has been removed from the toolbar.  Here are the instructions on how to recover:

  1. In the Mail Viewer or in a new message, click on the toolbar, and then choose Customize toolbar. Or choose View > customize toolbar.

  2. Do one of the following:

     • Add item: drag an element from the palette to the toolbar until you see a green plus sign.

     • Remove an item: drag an item to the toolbar until you see or hear a "poof" effect

     • Rearrange items: drag an item around the toolbar until an open space to appear.

     • Change the way items appear: click on the view pop-up menu, and then choose an option.

  3. When you are ready, click done.

  Home Thunderbird works fine. When I go to my sons or daughters of the House I can get emails but can't send them. I get an error message the connection times out. I can send and receive e-mails on my iPad using the standard MAC e-mail program. They use the same provider of Internet and configured so far I can say that they are the same. When I travel I use one of the two laptops. Using Windows 7 the other Linux Mint. Two of these computers use Thunderbird and the problem is the same on both machines. I looked in the FAQ etc. on the Mozilla site but can't find anything that seems to be applicable.

  Sending via SMTP and the problem here is that you must be able to connect to the SMTP server of twc of connections of others. Some ISPS actively block connections to other SMTP servers of the service. So, for the reasoning, we could guess that cox do not have connections to the SMTP server of twc.

  Otherwise, the SMTP server of twc may refuse messages are sent via a connection from cox. However, if the twc SMTP server requires a password on your part, it is likely that your problem; the password means that it is ready to allow messages sent by you over any viable connection.

  I would check that you use 587/STARTTLS with a password - but since it is the recommended setting I'd be surprised if you were using anything else.

  You could try googlemail, hotmail /outlook.com, gmx etc. as an alternative email service providers with which you are unlikely to have these problems.
