Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

  1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
  2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
  3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    • Windows:

      • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
      • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
    • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
    • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
  4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
    1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
    2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

    Twiglet,

I'll try to guide you through 2 different methods for updating Firefox, hopefully one of them will work:

    Method 1:
Go to the on the Firefox window. You can find it by clicking Help, then "about Firefox", or by clicking on the Orange button that says "Firefox" in the upper left of your Firefox window, by clicking on the arrow next to 'Help' and then clicking on "about Firefox". You can check the latest version here. Also, when you open this window, he should check updates and if an update is available, begin to download the.

    Method 2:
Open Internet Explorer. Go to www.getfirefox.com. Click the big 'Download Now' button. Then, click Run. give him all the permits, he asks that it installs. It should update your Firefox to the current version.

Firefox updates automatically, but releases are sometimes limited, which means after that a number of people have updated, the update is not automatically pushed for a few days to make sure that no major problems.

  • Can not uninstall or install the photosmart software 6510

After having been frustrated that the printer driver for my new 6510 than anything a printer would claim that the printer was not connected to the network, when at the same time of the same system that the browser he could speak without difficulty, I decided to see if the installation of the last load to the bottom of the software could solve the problem.

I am running Windows XP and downloaded the software PS6510_1315 verision.  After a first installation failure, (ago I was probably dumb and do not uninstall first) it is impossible to install.  The error message was "Installation failed."  After leaving the look of software for a solution to the problem that I have received a failure of Installation of HP - scrip MSI_1603 which was meant to help solve the problem.  Followed these instructions requiring a reboot to stop some of the initialization of the pilot to restart, and it has not yet installed.

Then I say that da - uninstall.  I have tryied that using the provided HP unstall link from the menu drop-down HP 6510 Phostosmart and who fails to uninstall, I tried the remove from the Add/Remove control panel screen.  Trucks to uninstall only says in 8 seconds, the green line goes all the way to the end, and then it says done in 5 seconds and starts to decline.  And provides the detailed message that the installation has failed.  And if I find myself a solution sent me another copy of the file "HP installation failure - MSI_1603.

So I am now completely jambed upward and cannot uninstall the existing software or install the newest software.

Are there log files that exist somewhere on the system that tells exactly what is happening or why unistall fails.  Maybe all the details have been sent to HP through to find a feature of the solution, but course is not to tell me anything.

Are there tools that I can use to force an uninstall?

I really want to beable to use the printer again, but from now I can't use it for anything from this computer.

HA you are right.  It's always a good idea to be kind to the it guy at work.  I am pleased that you print again and thank you to update me.  I have some suggestions for you.

    1. You can set a static ip address of the embedded Web server (EWS), which is access by browser using the printer ip address you mentioned earlier.  Open the network tab and in virtue of the Wireless section, open IPv4, modify the Manual IP address IP Configuration .  Once you select Manual IP, a button will light indicating "suggest a manual IP address.  Click on it and will populate the fields above him.  Usually the last node to Manual IP address changes.  I would like to return to the current IP address.  Then select apply.  This will help you keep a better connection to the printer and the router will not change the IP address as she normally does.
    2. If your printer is plugged into a surge protector, I recommend that connect you it directly to a wall jack for power.  Sometimes when it is plugged into a surge protector, the printer does not receive the exact amount of electricity and this can cause problems with wireless connection.  The printer has built in a surge protector.
    3. If you decide to connect the usb from the printer, there will not be a problem with another computer, being able to print wireless.  The best way to add a usb printer is to click on the Start button, click all programs, scroll down to the HP folder, open, open your printer and you should see "printer setup"or 'Add a device'.»  Click on that and follow the instructions for installation of the usb.  Do not forget and do not connect the usb cable until the installation program asks that you plug.

    I hope it's useful.

  • Firefox download parts attached - I have to go to Safari that make :( I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 2 times

I use Yahoo webmail. He used to work, I'm not sure when it stopped, but in the last week or two. Maybe there is an update? I emptied downloads, Reset, then uninstall/re-installed Firefox, and it's the same thing. I can upload fine documents using Safari, isn't the webmail

Try to log out of Yahoo and log in again.

Clear the cache and cookies only from Web sites that are causing problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Firefox > Preferences > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Firefox > Preferences > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

If clearing cookies doesn't work, then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete the other files of cookies as cookies.sqlite - journal in the profile folder of Firefox in the case where the cookies.sqlite file has been corrupted.
