I can't 'upload to the ftp host'

Hi, I can't download my site in the "upload to ftp site' I already downloaded by export HTML, but I want my client to use in the browser edition!

My Web host is HOSTGATOR and when I put 'public_html' in the folder on the server says "public_html" section does not appear to point to "ifrance.com. I tried to public_ftp, public_html/mysite.com, / public_html, and they do not work all the say server don't seem to point to "ifrance.com.

I was still able to download the site via filezilla, so I don't really know what im doing wrong can somebody help me please?

There are still a lot of confusion about these last steps. Mainly because all hosts have different rules, although they all will tell you that they adhere to the 'standards '. sure Yes...

Some general explanations might help to understand what is happening and why sometimes will not work.

Your website uses probably under a domain name like "'samanthasplace.com ', with the 'www.' " being the obvious prefix for your Web site. But it is for HTTP, the display of the site, what your web visitors will do. They can't change the files. FTP is the process you use to copy your web files to and from this same server, really, adding and deleting them.

Your hosting provider has probably little server space for you, but just like with a theatre, entrance to the artist (FTP) is not always on the same address as the public entrance (HTTP). Then the FTP address of your hosting space on the server is not necessarily "www.samanthasplace.com." It could be 'ftp.samanthasplace.com' or 'ftp.thebestprovider.com' or even a number of cryptic IP as '12.234.192.104 '. All depends on how your Web host has decided and set to allow you to work with their services.

And of course the FTP entry is closely watched, so you need your FTP login name (sometimes an email address, sometimes a short or long name, everything is allowed) and a password. These are sometimes identical to the login and the password of the e-mail services (if you have the same hosting provider), but once again: there is no rule.

Within this hosting space, the root of your Web site is often a separate file name given, so that there may be other things on this as well hosting space, outside of this folder (as auxiliary scripts, backups, and others). The name of this folder is dictated by the hosting provider. It is often something like 'public' or 'public_html' or 'www' or ' something ' they came with.

Do not confuse or simplify these parameters and credentials while waiting for them to be 'standard '!

A last typical aspect of Muse : Muse invite you to mention the field (Sire URL) of your website, linking the Typekit fonts to it. Otherwise, the policies won't work. If this parameter is actually nothing to do with the process of FTP download.

  • Upload to the ftp host seen as attack port?

    Hello

I have been using Muse almost since its inception and am a big fan of the software. I have always used the transfer to the host option FTP as a fast and direct of the upload of a file method. However, recently I have problems.

When my professional (IP address of the Virgin), upload to host FTP actually started (about 3 months ago) to be considered as an attack on port and freezes our accommodation (UK2) and must ring and go through a long (and expensive) process of release. So, we used the work around the exporters and then download via Filezilla. No problem, just a little more time to do.

Here's my problem. During the period where I was not able to use the upload to the FTP host to work option, it was never a problem at home. (UK2 hosting again, through SKY IP). Last week, however, I can no longer use it as it will not recognize the FTP connection information, AND here's the best real - filezilla will connect is more when I'm at home either. I tested on Mac and PC, and both are on the newer versions of Muse and Filezilla, same results.

I checked many times my IDs and verified that they work when I'm at my work address, what they are doing.

In research rich I have not found anyone else having these problems. Can anyone help please?

    Thank you.

    Hi Paul,.

If the credentials do not work on Filezilla as well, it seems to be a problem with the hosting provider.

If these credentials are working at work, then I think that there is something on the computer or IP address at home that may be blocking access to the audit.

  • The latest changes to the 'Upload to the FTP host' function has made it useless - no point using a program such as Muse if I can't easily and automatically upload work to the Web server.

The latest changes to the "Upload to Host FTP" function made it useless - no point using a program such as Muse if I can't easily and automatically upload work to the Web server.  I use BlueHost webhosting with a main area and I have several domains with this account (such as subdomains or folders on this server) - with older versions of Muse when downloading pages it simply opened a warning window to tell me (what I already know) the Web site I am downloading does not point to the main domain BUT now Muse is trying to create a new folder separated into the root directory of the main domain. completely ignoring the directory path that I am giving him - useless!  Why do these crazy changes to the program - and so often - it is very frustrating as amateur ware!

    Hello Stephen,

There are some problems with the download of ftp through Muse, who knows the team of engineers and those will be corrected in a future version of Muse. At this point, the work around would be to export the html code of Muse and then download via some third party client like filezilla ftp.

I would recommend that you keep an eye on our page of release notes to get updates more about it - Release notes | Adobe Muse CC

  • Upload to the FTP host does not not using SFTP

I tested and retested the server FTP using SFTP on Transmit, works perfectly every time and will not work in aid of Muse FTP Upload. Any ideas?

I think you're confusing the md5 to check the identity of the server with the method used to authenticate your account on the server. They are two different things. In the newspaper if appears you have been presented and confirmed the md5 check. The next step is the actual connection (aka authenticate) your account on the server. This step fails because Muse requires password authentication, but your server responds that he can't stand that: publickey, gssapi-keyex, gssapi-with-mic, keyboard-interactive.

It is rare that a SFTP server is configured for password authentication not supported as one of the available methods of authentication of the account. At present taken Muse only supported authentication password on SFTP servers. All the major companies hosting supports SFTP with password authentication.

    Help, please

I can not download my adobe site muse at godaddy more.

I tried directly from muse and also with filezilla.

He continues to stop during the download with several errors at different times, but the principal seems to be - send failure - Broken Pipe. »

I think that its to do with assets, but can not see what is the problem with the assets and it seems to not be alone.

I tried to understand me, but there seems no more fixing it.

Can someone help me please? the site took a lot of work to do if its too much work to recreate from scratch. The file is corrupted? is the problem with godaddy? I'm not sure.

I spent time talking with godaddy, but that did not help the problem so far.

  • It won't go beyond 60 percent when you try to upload to the FTP host

    Please help

Could you please clarify your query and share the screenshot showing the issue?

You can also create a new project of fast Muse with few assets (those you have in your original site) and republish BC/FTP/export to HTML and see if it works. This would isolate the question to be specific .muse. If it does not, you can try clearing preferences/cache of Muse as detailed in this thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/5086018#5086018> and see if that helps.

  • Upload to the FTP host does not work after the update of Muse.

I downloaded the update of Muse today and just tried to download a few revisions to a site. It goes through the motions of downloading but I do not see the changes reflected on the online site. Anyone else having this problem?

Update: it downloads correctly revisions to my test site business catalyst, but not to the live version of FTP (not hosted by BusinessCatalyst).

Update 2: seems to work now. Crazy. Maybe it was the safari.

  • Muse of closure due to meet her error when sending to the FTP host, saying: «p incompatible a number of children through break points...» »

I've been using Muse for a little over a year now, I've designed websites and uploaded to the FTP host with ease. Now from the other day after I updated Muse I got the following error message when sending to the FTP host:

"Adobe Muse CC has encountered an error and will now close. «Please report the last actions little taken you to this error to Adobe Muse CC team p incompatible a number of children through breakpoints within text U1019»

... before transferring the update of Web site design that I had done a lot of design changes and not exactly what change would have made that mistake! I am so frustrated, I must have this site updated as soon as POSSIBLE. Let me know what can be done to have this problem. Thank you!

I ended up solving the problem! So grateful, I was able to search deeper in the other positions on the issue and found a similar situation and how it was fixed. I fixed it by copying text in text boxes, the removal of the text box and copy text in new text boxes. Thanks for having this forum available for questions and answers for the Adobe programs!

  • the publishing to the FTP host site

When I try to upload my site on the FTP host, Muse downloads only 4 pages of my site and not the 5th. How can I get all 5 pages uploaded to the FTP host?

  • Error loading to the FTP host

I tried several times to upload to the ftp host and there is always a mistake to 60% which reads:

Error creating the/images folder. Click on resume to try again. If the problem persists, try again later.

    How can I fix?

Make sure that you have write permissions in the folder /images/ on the server. Also try to enter the absolute path of the directory you want to upload in the field host FTP download directory dialog box (with a / at the beginning). See the following thread, which can be useful in your case.

  • My site (more specifically, related files) is not updated after repeatedly "sent to the ftp host?

I tried to make a copy of the offending page, did not work. Tried to completely remove files and re - bind, did not work.

It seems the same before you start. Tried to add additional objects to see if it was just the linked files... won't even update simply objects.

Is this a problem with my host? Or with the Muse?

I also tried both the default value for 'upload to the ftp host' which is 'Only download changed files' and 'download all files. No change.

THE SITE WORKS AS IT IS MUST IN PREVIEW MODE. I don't understand why it is not up-to-date.

You are most likely just see a version cached in the browser of your site. Clear the cache of your browser and you will probably see the new content. It is a problem for some providers, especially with GoDaddy.

  • Updates will not download on the FTP host

    Hello

I already have a Web site online and I just want to add some updates, but whenever I go to upload to the ftp host, he goes through the process of downloading everything (the box with the blue bar), but when charges website after the download is complete, my updates are not - the site is exactly as it has already been , without the new information.

What I'm doing wrong and what should I do to get new information to download?

The domain is hosted by godaddy.com, if that helps.

Thank you in advance for your help!

This indicates generally the upload is in the wrong location on the server or files have been modified using an external tool and now built-in FTP download is used and is unaware of these changes.

You use the built-in file > upload to the FTP host... within the Muse? If so, and if you use one of the more common low cost plans GoDaddy, then the directory 'host' should be 'public_html', if it is not, then the files will be uploaded in the wrong place on the server.

If you've used one tool other than the built-in download functionality to change what are the files on the server and you are now trying to use the upload integrated, you must set "Upload: all files" in order for Muse to download all your site. After that was done, Muse will come back on only the modified files downloaded.

  • Muse brakes published the site of the FTP host to 84%

Muse of released brakes the site of the FTP host to 84% in the middle of upload files Edge animate. Similar thing happens when I use the external tool to send files to my host (Cute FTP Mac), the strange thing is that it sends files, but they are much smaller than they should (for example with a weight 7KO PNG file and original his 120KO) and basically nothing changes on the site. When I hit an excerpt in Muse, everything is great, but I can't export to internet. What is the sollution?

    Hi danios22041774,

As it works on BusinessCatalyst, my best guess is that it's a hosting problem. On your real domain name, I get a not found error when I try to access some jpg files directly (for example: http://danielsmolen.pl/images/wklejony%20obraz%20306%20%C3%97%20321.png), then it is clear that the images are not making it on your server.

    I would do two things:

    (1) take a look at some suggestions in this thread: Images not showing or even accessible after Muse download...

    (2) if these don't work, talk to your client to host and see if they have an idea of what could be the cause of this

Let us know if these two things do not work.

    Emily
