  CS5.5 does not require a login, so there must be something else requiring that you.  Maybe it's the security of your system requires you to login to allow installation.

  First of all, it would be very nice to know you details laptop but usually it of not possible to use the Toshiba controls with different programs generally these buttons are configured to use special programs such as WMP or WInDVD.

  If I myself remember well touch sensitivity was introduced with Windows 8 and improved in point 8.1, so I doubt if a touchscreen monitor would work. You could easily use a graphics tablet, but enjoy the extra convenience of drawing on a screen with a science-based application.
