  I would also add that if you customize a theme (or rather a child theme), you work with the code in your/WP - content /themes folder. not the WP core files.

• Can I use Muse/Dreamweaver to build an album pop up for my Wordpress site?

  I use Wordpress, but could not find a plugin pop-up ads to pay for. They all look basically the same, very little the customization and BLAH overall. I saw once a superb pop - up on an Adobe site that stopped me in my tracks. This is what I want.

  You can of course build things in MU / DW, but the better question is, how do you really want to implement it in your WP site? WP cares not for what outside his themes and plug-ins and without the proper files code API in the files that your fancy Gallery will not be displayed with the exception of manually link to it, which, according to your description, is not what you want. so unless you plan to learn the WP API and by creating your own code, may settle for something more accessible and get one of these 'boring' galleries? Ultimately there are reasons why things are this way, although probably most of the galleries can be customized, but you still need to enter WP Themes and their variables and default definitions.

  1. to connect to the remote server and pull all files in public_html in your www WAMP or MAMP folder.

  2. AFTER all the files are drawn, save a copy of wp - config.php one safe place.

  2 delete the wp - config.php IN the LOCAL DISPLAY!

  3. navigate to the folder wordpress in the browser, EXAMPLE: localhost/public_html

  4. you will be prompted to set up a new wordpress, when you do, make sure that the table prefixes are the same as the remote server prefixes.

  5 import your XML file to the Wordpress on the remote server.

  6. ENJOY.

  Word of warning, when you work on your theme, your local point of view and PUT the files on the server, make sure that you say NEVER Yes for including dependent files, you run the chance to crush the wp-config remote and if you have not saved a copy you can not go back in it.   If the download process is a process of FTP, you must be sure that you have selected a binary transfer. The PDF is a binary file and upload ascii out the corrupt.

  No, it isn't. In theory , you could use Muse produced html and css code to build a WP theme and add the tags code and wp php required, but in practice , it's almost inhuman to ask any developer, as Muse is generated code is vergence on the side of the human being illegible and quite catastrophic in general as well.

  And Muse, of course, does support any PHP either.

  Your best approach is to change the code of the entire thing from scratch, or select a theme of WP (commercial or otherwise) that allows you to rebuild your model of Muse in a more visual way. A number of commercial themes on ThemeForest offers crazy customization options. You always had to adjust the CSS code manually, however.

  I remodel a site for a friend. The site was built in Wordpress. He agreed to make the change as long as he can maintain his active Wordpress blog. His site is hosted in a top level domain, let's call it www.buddy'ssite.com.

  My site is a WP.com paid as well, but I thought that once I've migrated all content and then DNS'ed the field besides it would go back to the free version or it would disappear, and then I just take the blog separately and load it back. I know that sounds like a lot, but the way I thought. Let me know what you decide please! I am open to all suggestions.

  first of all thank you for using EdgeSuite for wordpress. Did you use shortcodes? He would be allowed to use your site as a reference for the rest of the edge, I would list on edgedocks.com if you would agree?

  Now to your question: looking at network traffic, you can tell that your homepage is more then 3.1 MB big, that's quiet a lot. Use google pagespeed extension for chrome, yslow for firefox, tab network firebug or just http://www.webpagetest.org to get an idea of what's going on.

  For example, the three icons FB, twitter, vimeo are each big 500Ko, so these three icons are already have your page size. It's a difficult thing, but probably not the only reason for your publication load slowly. You use a lot of small assets, it takes just takes time to load these. The composition is immediately responsible locally? If you want to further reduce loading times, you can use spritesheets. You can combine the small images in a larger picture and clip the focus when you use the image as a background for a div. And try to reduce the Photo1 2 3, each 150KB large.

  What is, adding a preloader for the animation, the user then at least know that there is more to come.

  From your initial description, you used a specific YouTube button or a widget on your WordPress site to embed the video.

  The other way to do is paste the code from YouTube (below the video, in the sharing options) to see if it works better. You can start a new article and just use Preview rather than change your homepage, until you can verify that it works.

  When you change your post - I don't know udesign, I know only the regular WordPress - you should see two tabs: Visual and text. The text tab lets you paste in the HTML code. Then you can preview and see if she leaves.

  I made changes to my style.css files for my wordpress sites. It seems that my changes do not appear on other computers. However on my MAC OS X, the changes do not appear on Firefox.   You can try the following steps in case of problems with web pages:

  You can reload webpages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.
