  create a 'play' button and place it on your flvplayback component and assign an instance name, for example bigPlay_btn.  You can then use:

  {bigPlay_btn.onRelease = function ()}

  This ._visible = false;

  yourflvplaybackcomponent. Play();  Use the instance name of your component.

  You'll probably also want to use the headphones for video, play/stop, so you can control the bigPlay_btn _visible property.

• Firefox crashes after the Flash videos play with black screen

  Everytime I play a video with Flash, the screen is black, even if the sound is played. Then, Firefox crashes.

  I use the latest Version of Firefox (28.0) on Mac OS 10.9.2 (new Macbook Air) and the latest version of Flash. I tried safe mode and disable my plug-ins to make sure it is Flash.

  I have re-installed Flash and installed, but it did not help.

  My Firefox crash reports say "hang." libsystem_kernel.dylib@0x15a3a ' signature and ' EXC_BREAKPOINT / 0x00000002 "due to the accident."

  Have you tried to disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player?

  You won't find in programs because it is not a. It is a browser plugin and will appear in Firefox Add-ons (or Plugins for IE)

  You can download the Windows Flash Player 11.9 projector which is a stand-alone player, but it lacks most of the controls as videos have in a web browser.

  You can find the FLV files play MUCH better if you use VLC Media Player.

  I used it for FLV, MP4, MPEG, MOV, WMV and AVI playback for years.

  If you open the FLA and select the video on the stage (depending on the version of Flash it could just be a black rectangle, or in fact be video)

  With that selected, go to the settings panel (this is a group with the properties panel, but if it isn't then you can find it somewhere in the window menu)

  Find the "source" parameter in this Panel and change its value to be simply the name of the FLV (if the FLV file is sitting right next to the SWF)

  Publish the SWF file and you'll be ready to go.

  I have some flash video files on my computer and when I try to play them in windows media player they play faster than normal. Literally, it looks that I viewed an episode of Alvin and the Chipmunks. However, if I convert the .avi file, it plays at normal speeds.
